Spent 2 nights at this campsite, fairly new to camping and on the whole it was good, nice sized site, as site was small was able to let my 5 year old have some freedom.
Toilets tired but clean, toilet roll needed. Ground was fairly hard. Amusing bar on site, down side for us the entry fee on both nights was 5.00. Wouldn't mind paying for one night (which we did) but I think to pay on both nights was too much.
The night we went in there was about 40 people in and it is a massive club. I'm sure if they made it free to campers there would have been a lot more there. All campers moaned about this, but all said they would have gone but not at 5.00. Think the owners should review this for their sake.

Ok then, I will be first to review this site !
When we arrived we were told to pitch anywhere we wanted, and somebody would be round later to collect our money. Being a family (2 adults and 2 children), and camping with 2 other family’s we decided to camp in 'the woods'(a grassy area in-between trees) because it would be quieter. We pitched up, and had a beer, BBQ etc, them a group of 30+ teenagers arrived. They were very loud. At 1 pm after several request from us, and other campers they were still being loud. My wife tells me they were still loud at 5am.
When morning arrived we went to reception, and complained our noisy neighbours, the owner promptly kick them all off site. Result.
Now I must point out, that this was a caravan/static park only, until this year. So they are not quite geared up yet to tents. But given a few years this could be an excellent site
Let’s cut to the chase, and mention the good & bad.
Good points.
The food in the bar is A++++++++++++++++, out of 12 meals; everybody said it was well worth the money (£8 for a rack of ribs that was about a foot long!) Cannot recommend it enough. Only negative point was, there was no children’s menu. So Kids got adult meals that they could not eat.
The site is massive, with loads of electric hook ups.
There is a well stocked fishing pond, but a £10 a day is far too expensive. If it was £5. Then the owner would have had an extra £30 of us.
Owners are very accommodating, and helpful.
Near to Blackpool and all its attractions
£13 a night for a family in August!
There is a car boot sale every Sunday.
Negative points.
The showers and toilets need updating. They are too small, and not the cleanest I have seen.
Not a lot for children to do. One slide and 1 rope swing. That’s it.
I believe this to be an honest review, of a new site to tents. Owners if you read this please
1. Build a new shower block
2. Make fishing £5 a day.
3. Make a family field, and a party field.
4. Make it free to use all the facilities, if you are on site. Camper like a pint in the bar as well as members.
5. Give the Chef a massive pay rise!

Stayed here last year our first visit but not our last, I took 3 teenage girls and was worried about them being entertained, they enjoyed looking at the horses and chatting to the owners, even the walks they enjoyed. We didn't go into the club house as we had a family party in Blackpool. The site was nice and clean and everyone we spoke to was polite. We enjoyed the carboot on Sunday and the hotdogs I recommend. We are looking forward to going back this year
