This site has a glorious location, it's just behind the dunes of Black Rock Sands and also has a lovely view of Moel-y-Gest.

The facilities are clean and tidy - the toilets and showers are separate blocks each with their own code (you get a leaflet when you arrive with the codes on) I suppose because it's so close to the beach they have to be secured. The washing up area has only two sinks, but that was never a problem even though the site was quite full when we were there.

The wardens/family that run the site are helpful and friendly.

Other info - you can loan ice blocks at 50p/block with a £1 deposit, and you can get phones etc charged for 50p at the wardens caravan.

Fantastic site. Simple clean and well looked after.

Family that run it are kind helpful people that care about what there doing.

Weather had turned bad whilst we were there and we clocked the warden going round making sure every ones tent was secure adding more pegs were needed.

As people arrived he offered help to pitch tents was a lovely caring man went above and beyond to make sure you enjoyed your stay

Great family site, right on the beach - really couldn't be any closer. Very clean toilet / shower facilities - one of the best we have seen. No playground, but as others have stated, you don't need it when the beach is so close.

As soon as you arrive you are greeted by very friendly wardens, who are always walking around checking on the site, making sure no-one is breaking any rules, and everyone is having a good time. Haven't seen any other wardens taking their job so seriously, and felt that the site was very secure with them around.

Very tasty chip shop five minutes drive away, next to a useful Spar shop. Porthmadog, a bit farther, lovely busy town, harbour and plenty of shops. Criccieth Castle (which you can see from the beach), is reasonably priced at £10. 50 for family of four (plus dogs allowed). Criccieth also has a lovely beach and town. Would also recommend Pwllheli and further along the Lyn Peninsula if you fancy a drive.

Will definitely be coming back!

Excellent site with new fresh great wardens who appear to care and do a great job.

Site updated with a few more hook ups.

Toilets and showers good and clean all the time.

Dog policy of deposit is good. Can be a pain at items with mess, tent next to ours let theirs roam. They were swiftly advised.

Beach location was as always the best.

£5 paid to go on per day with car. Worth it though.

Only issue were a band of flying insects that settled on my tent. No one else's and water, spray and bashing didn't get rid. Thankfully the inner kept them out of the bed area, so keep zipped up.

Following day, they were all gone. It's nature after all.

Can't wait to return soon.

Love it!

Just come back from this gem of a site, the toilets and showers were always clean and the keypad entry was a great idea, showers very powerful, lovely large pitch sizes we had electric hook up and backed on to the sand dunes, the site is very close to the beach but always felt safe as there are plenty of staff always about and gates are closed at 11pm, I was very impressed with the young groups of lads, they were really polite and we never had any issues with loutish behaviour, all in all we have had a lovely weekend and will deffinately be returning. I would recommend this site to anyone, proper camping the way it should be.

Well what can I say we have been coming here for years and wow what a transformation the new wardens have clearly worked above and beyond to get the site looking stunning, its a great feeling when you are greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere, we started coming here with a tent many years ago and now have our Motorhome on a lovely spacious pitch with electric hook up and they have added more new hook up points.

The New toilet block always has hot water on demand, and it is regularly cleaned which is essential for us.

The site is in a great location, (blue flag beach) right on a sandy beach,

Great for kids. And dogs as they are allowed from the site right along the beach

There is a local Spar shop just 5 minutes drive which caters for all your essentials, there are also Tesco, lidl and Aldi in Porthmadog so you have every thing you need.

The warden Managers are always either cutting the grass, litter picking or seeing to customers they will go over and above for you and you can call them any time they are all to happy to help, well done guys you made our holiday so relaxing and memorable we will be back again this season.

They have now have a Facebook page which is great as you can message them to book and its so convenient also they update it regularly showing new pictures.

Finally keep up the good work we feel you have turned the site round can't wait to return

Camping as it should be - in a field not a car park/hardstanding in site.

Great site right on the beach with only sand dunes between you and the sea. The toilets and showers are the porta cabin type but are allways kept very clean with no shortage of hot water two sinks and drainers are available for washing up.

To make the site complete are the wardens they not only like what they do they do it with a smile - well done steve and bex.

Fantastic site, the owners made our stay great so welcoming and helpful don't know how they do all that on their own. Toilets clean 24/7. Definitely coming back. Could do with more electric hook ups. Great for family's. The owner makes sure there is no loud groups. Helpful having bricks for barbecue there for you. Beach stone throw away. Perfect site for family's. Good pub half mile away for family's good food. Glanaber, greenachers next door if you fancy a day there, it's a holiday park £5 for a day ticket. Near by Porthmadog has all the shops you need on holiday and supermarkets x

Can`t really get any closer to the beach, other than being on it.

Very friendly and helpful host. Toilet/showers can be a bit of a pain due to the key pad, but if you have a good memory will not be a problem, you do get a sheet with them on. I couldn`t understand why they needed these, until I went into the toilets for the beach! quickly got out of there!

Site toilets/showers very clean. No shop on site but a Spar/fish n chip shop just up the road 1/2 mile approx, and a pub/club in the opposite direction, within walking distance.

Will go back.

Visited at last minute due to weather. Telephoned to confirm space, polite warden and thankful they accepted one night, as others had declined us for one night. It was Saturday morning and it was a trial of the new awning and a quick getaway.

On arrival, site was rather quiet. Easy book in and friendly wardens. Sit was spot on, next to the dunes and beach.

Set up was easy and we went onto the beach with the dog, walking to the right where they are allowed.

Returned and cooked and had time to wander the site. Toilets block, shower block and a couple of sinks for washing up.

Ideal quiet set up, no masses of kids, playgrounds and pubs.

Slept well and then the next day we showered and as others said, using the combination lock in the night was a chore. Kept the code on me so no issues. Rather that than have the beach users using out facilities.

Toilets, showers all clean and nice hot water.

We took the awning down, loaded up and paid the £4 to go onto the beach in the van.

Sun out but windy. Spent the day there and then set off home.

Campsite was ice and quiet and good for us, however not the industry as the weather is ruining it for them.

We will be back, stopped nearby a few years ago, that was dirty. This place is spot on.

Thanks and recommend to all.
