This is a great site, the beach is just over the sand dunes at night all you can here is the sound of the sea, its so peaceful as The wardens are on site. The toilets are kept really clean and only people on site can use them as each tent has a key however they are small. The showers are quite small but again really clean with great hot water.

The washing up room has two sinks but only one plug and this is also very clean.

The wardens will hire out ice blocks with a 20p re frezze charge. Their is no playground on site but the kids who where 8 & 2 didn't seem to mind as they made their onw fun. Everyone on site was friendly we had a great time and can't wait to go agian.

Off site their is a cafe and a bar on the next site which you can use and their is a spar shop and a chippie half hour walk or 5 min in car, porthmadog is 15 drive and has a small tesco which closes at ten and many other shops.

I loved this camp site with my kid having adhd it was brill when it was quiet, but it gets busy, that's when my son goes on one but I am going back on thurs of this week cause loved it.

Easy access to beach just over sand dunes shop half an hour walk away we walked it good for tiring the kids out but just make sure you check closing times on way through cause we walked up at bout 8.30 got there at 9.15 but closed at 8pm does close later in summer though.

Staff and people around there are real helpful an pleasant I went spar for gas for camping stove and the lady in spar opened the beach shop next door to try find me some.

Lots of things to do with kids on camp just have to use your imagination, football, outdoor games which you can buy from Porthmadog just about 15 mins up road in car.

Brill facilities, hot showers, wash room for pots, washer machine and tumble dryer. Although the showers where piping hot my wife said but I managed to get in them. As for rubbish there was none in site, the maintenance man did a good job an help us out if we needed to know anything.

There is a bar across the road but at the time I was there it only opened night at the weekend and not for long.

It was fantastic that's why we're going back, just take your own beer, it is expensive down there compared to where I live anyway!

This is a great site if you love the beach. It is set just a few yards from it. I think this site is fantastic for families. The wardens are aiming this site for couples and families only and in my opinion they are doing a great job. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times while on the site. I think this is fair as not all people like dogs and you are right next to the beach where your dogs can do as much running as they like. The wardens keep on top of this to make sure everyone enjoys their stay.

There's only one toilet block which I could find which has 2 gents toilets, 2 urinals and a shower cubicle, the ladies had 4 toilets. Then next to that there was quite a new shower block which had 3 showers for gents and 3 showers for ladies. All these blocks are kept spotless by the wardens, who work very hard to keep this site ship shape. There's also a section for washing up, there's 2 sinks in that part.

The site is quite open so if you're in a tent just make sure you have a few decent tent pegs which can be used in sand (as you are right on the beach almost).

There's no electric hook ups on this site but I don't think it's a problem as it just adds to the peace and quiet (no tv's or music systems blasting out). There's no shop on site but it doesn't need one as just down the road is a well stocked SPAR shop and a chip shop next door to it.

All in all, this might be classed as a basic site but it's in a fabulous setting with great wardens to make sure you enjoy your stay. Whatever you need, if it's not on site, you will find it very close by. I like a peaceful holiday and I searched everywhere for a place like this. It's simple but relaxing here. We will be back here again.

Great little site, visited mid week and was very quiet, located about 10 yds form beach. Toilets quite old but clean. Showers relatively new and again very clean. Wardens are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again, kids had fantastic time.

Staff on site very friendly and welcoming the site was very clean shower block nice and clean. No childrens play area but who needs one when the beach is so close. If they cannot find something to do on there then it is time to go home. Shops are within five min drive from the site . The site is a very quiet site if you want to just sit and relax which we did and loved every second.Already planing re-visit

We have been twice to this site and it wonderful our boys can go straight onto the beach to play. The site is kept very tidy and is well managed with clean toilets and shower block. Will definitely be back again. The shops are very good at Porthmadog with a big Tescos if needed, but there is a smaller shop closer to the campsite.
The beach is very clean and tidy. There is alot of space for children to play and the adults to play with there jetski's

My girlfriend & I visited this site back back in May(2008) with our two boys, eight and eleven.

The Warden couple although only into their second year were very friendly and helpful, and are I am told aiming the site at couples and families only - much to our relief with the boys.

It was a lovely site right next to the beach. The facilities although limited - toilets, showers and washing up block were exceptional clean much to the pride of the female warden.

We will definitely be visiting again and again. Well done to the Wardens !

Lovely site, the main bonus being the beach is just over the dunes. A little over priced for the lack of facilities. (only toilets and showers) however well worth it if the weather is good because of the closeness to the beach.
The weather wasn't great this visit and spent three days avoiding the wind sat in our camper. Not good fun with a four year old! However am not put of visiting again, within crawling distance of the beach, and about 20 minute bike ride from a pub, local spar (which is very well stocked) and chippy!

First visit and it was fab. Didn't realise how close to the beach it was. Unfortunately on Sunday the weather was not so good and most of the toilets were blocked, but the attendant was doing her best to solve the problem. Did not go to the club or cafe so can't comment. Site is clean and priced very good for it's location, as it is only a hop skip and jump away from beach. Would recommend you try this site. I'm usually very picky and I have paid £15 per night for my tent plus extra (ie kids/dogs) but I have now tried this cheaper site and found it just as good. I paid £8 per tent plus £2.50 per adult and our 5 children were free you don't get much free nowadays. Play area was located a little out of the way but it was no trouble for me to walk up with my children and sit down to read while they had fun on the park. The site has hook up's available but as I have a tent I do not book with electric as I do not need it. We all understand about personal space and there was plenty of it we were not crammed in like sardines. All in all very pleased with the site I'm going again next weekend.

Our first visit to this site was mid week, off peak season. We really enjoyed our stay, the couple running it are very friendly and helpful and we loved the closeness to the beach. The toilets and showers, although basic, were clean with plenty of hot water. The ground is very uneven but we managed to find a level space to pitch. Our second visit was on Bank Holiday weekend and this time, understandably, was very busy and very noisy. The toilets and showers were filthy and there was no hot water. This site doesn't take bookings and I think they were trying to squeeze as many people in as they could possibly fit. Will definitely visit this site again but will pick our dates very carefully.
