Spent 3 nights camping at this super little sight on the outskirts of Penzance.
Convenient for shops, pubs and a stones throw from the beach.
It’s also a great base for exploring the area.
Facilities have recently been upgraded - the toilets/wet rooms are fantastic.
Roger & his team are really friendly & super helpful
We hope to be back there soon

Nice site. Wardens were very friendly and helpful plus they have a catering facility for a tasty breakfast (no cooking and cleaning up for us that day!)
Next door to Tesco’s for shopping and just a few minutes walk to the beach/ sea across the road Lovely walk along the coast to Michaels Mount
Bit close to main road but was quiet at night. Suited us well as a stop over
Nice mix of caravans tents and campers. Allows fire pit too
Shower, washing and toilet facilities a bit dated but managing CV regs very well
Thanks 😊

What a great site, not only flat, near the beach, near (many) shops and near the town, but the facilities were very good being deep cleaned twice a day with a small cafe for breakfast and evening.
The shining stars are the staff who went above and beyond when our awning came adrift in Storm Elaine, or Francis, or maybe both it's all a blur. They braved the weather and saved the day by ensuring we were re-erected and re-pegged - great job.
Definitely a site to stay at.

This site is very close to all types of amenities, Tesco, Sainsbury's, also a very short walk into Penzance town.
Unfortunately for us, we had very bad storms but apart from that the site is very good and plenty of space, for pitching tents and a member of staff does drive around quite regularly.
The bad bit about the site, it is near a main road. So you do hear the traffic but quietens down the later it gets.

Relaxed site with friendly and helpful owners. Large field with no formally marked bays which I liked.
Fire pits allowed and logs and equipment provided by owners £5 per night.
Good value.
No shop, but on site cooked food available from takeaway kitchen. Very close to Supermarket for supplies.
Close to beach and town.
Not many options for water unless one had a serviced bay.
Not enough toilets and showers for size of field, so often seemed quite dirty despite the twice daily clean. (quite dated).
Alongside a major road and round-a-bout junction, so a lot of road noise especially if positioned on that edge.

We loved this campsite and would definitely stay again.
Wonderful location, friendly staff, excellent value for money and neighbours with Tesco.
There is even a stream that runs along the campsite which our dog loved especially on the hotter days.

An excellent campsite on the outskirts of Penzance. Zoe and Roger couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived or during the rest of out stay.
The site is ideally located, a 10 minute walk into Penzance, 10 minutes to the nearest pub in Gulval, 10 minutes to the beach and next door to Tesco's. Sainsbury's and Morrisons are also nearby as is the Cornish Oven bakery.
The site has a Takeaway cafe doing breakfasts, bacon sandwiches, etc and burger and chips on an evening. The showers are free and nice and hot. The toilets were cleaned regularly and were deep cleaned twice a day(Covid).
The site is very sheltered and is mostly flat with a sloping section. Campfires are allowed and logs/kindling can be ordered at £5. The camp fee's are very reasonable, for a tent, car, 2 adults, 1 child, 1 dog and electric hook-up cost £30 per night.
There was a very relaxed atmosphere on the site and was quiet on a night.
I highly recommend staying here and will definitely returning to this gem of a site.

We had a great time at Ponsandane campsite.
The staff were really friendly and took all the precautions necessary to ensure our safety.
A lovely relaxed atmosphere with the beach, supermarkets and town within walking distance.
Thank you Zoe Roger Aaron and Aaron’s mum for a great stay.
We will definitely come back!

We have just arrived back after a fabulous long weekend in Penzance - Ponsandane Field Campsite.
A lovely little site with such helpful hosts, it had everything we needed and was very clean with lovely hot water anytime of day or night & very reasonable prices. -
Roger and Zoe are so helpful, anything you need or any information needed they are so willing to be accommodating to you.
We will definitely be back

Only stayed 2 nights out of our 4 booked.
Our pitch was super close to the main road so noise from traffic at night was pretty bad and kept us awake.
I didn't realise at time of booking the site was off a main road.
Didn't really have a countryside / cornwall feel to it. We've stayed at services abroad before and this is what this felt like except in a field.
The amenities are ok, clean but dated and in a porta cabin.
Zoe is very friendly and helpful.
Penzance itself is dated and in need of investment.
The photos in ad I felt were deceiving too as yes you can see st Michaels mount from the site but there's been some clever photography taken as its over an hour walk to it.
On the whole there nothing wrong with the site it just isnt what we were expecting so don't think we would return.
