Well located near the village of Great Bourton about 4 miles from Banbury, Barnstones is a medium sized site with mainly long term residents. The site is bordered on two sides by roads so some noise from there but it certainly didn't disturb us overnight.

Owners live on site and were very friendly. Calor gas bottles for sale at £20 each. Most pitches appeared to be hard standing, of a good size and had their own drinking water and ehu hook up. Toilet facilities were clean with plenty of hot water and washing up/shower facilities although we didn't use these. Highly recommend the friendly village pub for drink and food - a fabulous Sunday roast.

We have been to this beautiful clean and friendly site many times the owner is the most helpful person you could meet. He will always accommodate you. The site is clean, friendly and the toilet / shower block is clean and modern. The site has a children s play area on site, it also is dog friendly with a dedicated dog walking area. The site is a short drive from Banbury town center where the shopping is good. The village of Great Bourton is a short walk down the road with good pubs and food the site has a good electric hookup system elsan point is next to the toilet block. Our caravan club uses this site all year round

We would recommend this site to all.

A great site for visiting nearby Banbury. Pitches all level hardstanding. Toilet/shower block in definite need of updating and could do with heating in the winter. There's a laundry and washing up room which are great. The site is obviously mostly full of full-timers but wasn't an issue. A 5 minute walk to a lovely pub serving great food. Will definitely go back when we next in the area.

Even though we arrived very late on Friday evening, we were welcomed and shown to our pitch ( fully serviced at no extra cost)and given directions to the facilities which were worthy of a 'Loo of the year award' Molly the dog made full use of the dedicated exercise area, and enjoyed the long walk close to the site following the public footpaths but had to be fireman lifted over many styles with no dog flaps! Culminating in a warm welcome at The Bell Inn public house in the village a mere stones throw away.

A fabulous site and we would definitely recommend it to all.

Electricity not good, needs making better. When you put kettle on it trips switch, so in and out caravan letting cold in, then you can't put heating on too high as it blows trip again, when everyone is putting lights on cooking tea etc so electric usage very low. Showers and Toilets have no heating so very cold in winter. Local pub does excellent food and owners and staff are very friendly, five minute walk from site

Perfect site. Staff very polite, friendly and very helpful. The site is well sign posted there is excellent space between the pitches on the rally field. The site is very clean and tidy. The dog exercise area is a very good idea. There is a lovely pub in the village. The only slight downside on site is traffic noise but you can't have everything. We will certainly be returning to this site again.

Super site, good value, £13 a night with EHU in August. Lovely toilet block, very clean and plenty of hot water. Good washing up facilities and laundry room. Site was very busy while we were there, but everyone was very friendly, almost a party atmosphere.

Some super NT properties nearby, and location is great being just 5 miles or so from M40. This was our second visit, and I know we will go again next year. Site owner and warden very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely lovely site, so clean and well kept, well laid out with plenty of space for each pitch. Toilets and showers lovely. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for the surrounding area with lots of information available for things to do. All in all a great place to stay, very highly recommended. Lovely pub serving great food only 150 yards down the road, always a bonus ! Thats all folks.

Just back from a weekend stay, nice tidy well maintained site, comprising of two fields, one for caravans and the other grass pitches for tents. The facilities were always clean and in good repair, these consisting of 3 showers (shared by male and female), 3 toilets in the ladies, (not sure what was in the males) washing-up facility and laundry room.

Down side, play area not up to much, hence 'bored child' there didn't appear to be any other children on the site.

The facilities were located in the caravan field so a bit inconvenient as we had children with us and this meant walking back and forward quite a bit, really could do with at least a couple of toilets in the tent field.

Would recommend you take supplies with you as although there is a Tesco's quite near its still a drive out, and there's not a lot else that we could find.

As previously mentioned the chip van calls Friday evening which was much appreciated after arriving and putting up our tent we really didn't feel like cooking. We were told there is a pub local that does food and a Chinese that will deliver if you know what you want and can find the telephone number (maybe this could be noted in the information area, we didn't see it)

We got the impression that this site was used for one night stays quite a lot for people passing through on their way else where.

We would stay again but probably not with the children.
