We have just spent a very pleasant weekend at this site and felt compelled to leave a review for you. The whole visit was excellent from the phone call made a couple of days beforehand which was answered by a very friendly voice, followed by the nice welcome from the owner on arrival (even though we arrived at 8pm Friday evening).
The whole site is well set out over 3 area's, all flat with both gravel & grass with electric hook up everywhere.
The toilets / showers /wash up are all clean, modern and fully working.
The over riding special thing for us was the fully fenced and gates dog exercise area that forced all us dog owners to us it therefore not harassing other patrons with our dogs.
Lastly it is very reasonably prices so well worth a visit.

Loved it! The staff were friendly (it was our first time out in a caravan and we had help reversing) and the facilities were spotlessly clean. Lovely warm showers and sparkling toilets.
We were in the rally field near to the dog exercising field so we had tons of space which suited us, our dogs and our eight year old.
The Friday night fish and chip van was fab.
Liked it so much I am going to ring up and book again tomorrow!

We stayed at this site for 3 nights on our way down south as it was close to the motorway to carry on our journey.
We were shown to a pitch by a really friendly man who told us where everything was.
The site was lovely and the toilet block very nice too.
There are a lot of sited caravans there and residents that must spend a lot of time there.
I felt that this site was not very child friendly. This might not be the case in the big field near the play area but it was where we stayed on the other side of the site. Children were not allowed to go to the toilet on their own unless they were over 12! My 10 year old son went whilst we were unpacking and was asked where his parents where by 3 different people. I have stayed at plenty of sites in the last few years, all child friendly but on this site children were not allowed to ride their bikes.
I will not be returning which is a shame because it is a really nice site in a nice area.

We arrived on a hot Friday evening to be greeted by a very friendly gentleman who showed us to our tent pitches (2 family tents as we were camping with friends). We offered to pay before pitching up but got told pay later, no rush. We were allocated large flat grass pitches close to the children's play area (as requested) where our 4 children aged 3, 4, 5 and 6 ran off to have a great time. There is a great sand pit, toddler and normal swing, 2 climbing frames and a slide. A few strides away was a cold tap which was perfect on a hot summer evening. The facilities are great and very close by, hot water in the enclosed wash up room, chest freezer for ice blocks and clothes laundry room. The toilets were clean and bright (I only tested out the ladies!) with a free plug socket for hair straighter etc. There were several showers with a fold out seat and plenty of free hot water. Queuing was not an issue for the showers. The added bonus on this site was the 7. 30pm Friday night fish and chip van with lovely chips. And an hour later followed the ice cream van. There are roads on 2 sides of the site one more of a main road than the other but we had no issues with traffic noise. Perfect site, perfect weather, fantastic price (£11 per night) Highly recommend it to anyone. Will definitely return again and so would our friends.

I felt I should leave a review for anyone planning to come to this site with a tent.
Firstly, the site is lovely - its very well kept and clean.
The facilities were 2 shared showers, separate mens and ladies toilets, a laundry room with one chest freezer (which you could use at your own risk) and three washing up sinks.
The children's play area was actually quite nice although a little old. Its in a secluded area with some shade and a picnic bench for parents to sit and watch. It's got a sandpit, 2 swings (one of which is a baby swing) and two climbing frames (one with a slide).
Prices were really reasonable - £13 for a night with electric is very good.
There were a couple of downers though - 1. There is only one set of facilities (toilets, showers and washing up etc) and its in the other field. This means when you have smaller children it can be quite a trek to get them to the loo. One of our little ones didn't make it on a couple of occasions. I also wasn't really able to let the older one run off to go on his own because he had to cross the entry to the park and cars were constantly going round.
Oh. Bikes are not allowed on the tarmac area of the site. So I wouldn't bother taking them unless you're planning on going for a bike ride around the town or something.
The second thing is the noise of the traffic: I honestly have never stayed in such a loud location for night time traffic. I'm not sure if it was better in the caravan field but I honestly felt like we were on the road. We had arctic lorries going all night long and I did not sleep well despite being shattered.

I have been to this site many times and left good reviews but on this visit I wasn't happy.
There is at least 30 permenant long stay caravans which people live in 24/7 on this site now and I did feel intimidated at times. You know they live on site because there awning are dirty and really old and warn out and they have there post delivered by the owner. They all know each other and when its hot drink together. On some of them pitches there is two cars to the pitch and I was always told one car per pitch or on the grass as you come in. The playground is so dated now that the climing frame has split in lots of places and is now wobberly this could break at anytime and its an accident waiting to happen. This really needs updating but the sand pit is still a big hit. I also noticed there's now some permenants moved into the field as well now which is wrong. The trees and bushes around the site are now really overgrown and this site isnt what it used to be. It used to be a lovely site for a holiday now with the permenant people living on site 24/7 its more like an estate if you know what I mean than a caravan touring site I'm afraid. I wont be staying again on this site I would rather paymore money and stay on a caravan club site.

One of our favourite sites in the Midlands. Lovely clean showers open all the time day or night and very friendly staff available to help at all times. With a pub five minutes walk away and another 1 mile down the main road you will never be short of a lovely meal and on a Friday night a local fish and chip van visits, just listen out for the bell. There is also a rally field which we like to use but the main site is serviced hard standing and not at an unaffordable price. An enclosed dog area is on site so you can let them off the lead for a good run around and a play area for the kids to keep them entertained. Can't wait till May when we return for another relaxing time.

Lovely site, very welcoming helpful owner. Gave information on local services as had puncture and told us where to go for a good deal. Very clean showers, toilets and laundry room. Very well priced for electric hook up pitch. Dog walking area was very handy as we had our dog with us. Close to pretty village with good local pub which welcomed us and our dog. Had a lovely stay. Would visit again when in the area.

Just spent four nights on this lovely little site. It was our first trip with our Caravan so not far from home, a chance for us to get used to the technical things.
There is one facilities block housing toilets (3 or 4 ladies and 2 mens + urinals) and 2 shared showers (fine but no curtain so care needed with keeping towel and clothes dry!) This building also houses 3 washing up sinks and a laundry room (50p's needed)Outside this building is located the waste water disposal, fresh water tap (think there were others around the site too)and bins.
The children's play area was quite dated and in places broken so we took a lovely stroll most days through the village of Great Bourton and tucked away on the left almost opposite the turning for Little Bourton is a fab park where our 6 and 9 yr olds spent ages playing.
We also walked to Cropredy (handy path along the side of the road) and wandered along the canal, there are 2 pubs here and a shop by the canal bridge. We didn't sample food at either of the pubs or the ones in Great or Little Bourton but they all served it I believe.
The site and owners were quite relaxed, we paid on day 3 (very reasonably priced too, cheapest I've seen) There appeared to be a lot of caravans sited here permanently and some were residential, this caused us no problems although you could hear vehicles leaving fairly early in the morning. There was also distant noise from the main road which runs along the end of the site, couldn't really hear it in the caravan though.
The main site didn't have much open space (there is a rally field too which was quite jammed with a rally when we got there) the pitches are fine and mostly hardstanding but it generally feels a little cramped.
We ventured to Banbury for swimming, shopping and bowling, there is also a big Tesco and retail park as you enter Banbury.
All in all a lovely site which we will probably return to for quick weekends away as it's so close to home.

Just come back from a 3-night bank holiday break and what can I say. You will be hard pushed to find a better site at £12 per night.
The site itself is a little cramped, but for little money you do get a nice warm friendly welcome, level hard standing pitches, spotlessly clean toilets, shower and washroom.
The site has a dog walking area and a child’s play area but as I did not need to use these I cannot say what they were like.
The site itself is located just 3 miles from the centre of Banbury and a 15-minute walk to the pretty little village of Cropredy where there are two pubs and a shop. The Bell Inn is located a few hundred yards down the road from the site, which is a nice little English style country pub with great food.
Overall, a lovely site in a great area, very reasonable fees and I am already looking forward to my next visit.
