Excellent site, clean toilets, well kept grounds, dog friendly, lovely area, even chip van on Saturday evening, very friendly and helpful. Been twice this year will do so again, close to Stoke Gabriel, Paignton and Torquay. Stoke Gabriel is a lovely little village renowned for a tree in the church yard that is supposed to be 900 yrs old.

My wife & I spent a delightful week at Higher Well Holiday Park, during June, when I booked I asked if we could be reasonably close to the facilities block as my wife has arthritis’s. On the Saturday we arrived we were offered a choice of three pitches, all very close to the facilities block, so top marks to Mr & Mrs Ball for taking notes when we booked. The pitches are very generous in size, with electric hook up on every pitch, the site is well cared for, clean & tiny, with the grass kept short. The facilities for a site of eighty pitches are excellent, with four family wet rooms well kitted out, the Ladies & gentlemen’s facilities, each have four private showerseach, private wash facilities & also hand wash basins, both with plenty of toilets, the block was built in 2001 & it is just as good as if it had just been opened, so top marks to all the staff, it was always spotlessly clean. We paid just £87 for seven nights, with no extra or hidden charges, not even for electricity, so Higher Well is such great value for money. The site is situated just outside if Stoke Cabriel, on a farm in beautiful countryside, but just ¾ mile from the River Dart Estuary & you are just a few miles from the sea, with Totness, Paignton, Dartmouth, Brixham & Newton Abbot close by, Higher Well Farm makes an excellent base to explore South Devon. We will definitely be returning, next time with my sister & our grandchildren. I highly recommend Higher Well Farm to all my fellow campers who enjoy a good site with excellent facilities that gives you great value for your money. Keep up the good work.

Just returned from four nights here, well worth it, large spacious pitches, excellently cleaned facilities, electric hook up at no extra cost, large ball games field for the kids. Ideally located for Totness, Paignton, Dartmouth, short walk to nearest village with two pubs and near the River Dart Estuary. Couldn't really fault anything about the site.

Just got home from 2 fantastic weeks at Higher well farm and all the reviews are right its a great site, the showers are free and hot plus spotless. The site is in beautiful country side but is only 3 miles from the sea side, the local village is a 10 min walk away with 2 great pubs with good food and there is a local cider farm just down the lane. The site is quiet after 10 pm and the pitches are clean and spacious the camp shop has all your emergency needs covered, the staff and owners are very friendly and helpful all in all a great little site and supper value for money and is very safe form children. WE ARE going back next year.

Just had 1 week at Higher well Farm. The location near Stoke Gabriel village is perfect, 2 nice pubs & river shack for food & drinks, only 30 mins walk. The pitches are spacious, slight sloping. The site is very peaceful, the toilet & shower blocks are kept clean & modern. Lots of water & waste points, well maintained. Great value, will be returning next year

We've just returned from Higher Well Farm having spent 2 weeks there, this is our 3rd year we've visited and will definitely be going back. The site is so well laid out lots of space between each pitch and very peaceful, it's in a great location for Torbay and also for visiting most of Devon.
The toilet/shower blocks are always clean and there are family bathrooms too. Great washing up facilities and also a laundry room if you need it. There is also a small shop on site where you can get most basic essentials and you can order a newspaper for the mornings. It's a lovely 20 minute walk into Stoke Gabriel which is on the River Dart, where there is a couple of pubs that do good food. The owners are very helpful they can't do enough for you. Would definitely recommend this site

Fantastic family friendly site, been staying here for over 20 years both as campers and in their static caravans which are always spotless, the camping facilities are brilliant and excellent value. The site is perfectly located for all the nearby tourist attractions and beaches and the local village is a nice gentle stroll away

We have been to higher well farm 2yrs now and have booked for 2014. We have loved each year camping at higher well. Very clean. Always welcome. Plenty to do, carnivals, wild ponies on the moors ((Dartmoor. ) not far from the beach. Still have not visited most parts of torbay. I would recommend this camp site.

We wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Devon. It is faultless!
If you do not require electric you can camp anywhere you choose within a huge field. Every time we have visited there has been plenty of space and it has never felt crowded (although it is always outside of school holidays). I believe if you require electric or have a caravan you are given a plot but these look very spacious.
The owners are very friendly, booking is flexible and they are more than helpful. The toilet block has separate male and female toilets and showers. Showers are free and always hot! There is a disabled toilet and family room with shower. There is also a washing up and food preparation area in the same block. All facilities are always spotless.
It is a peaceful location with lovely views but only a 10 minute drive in to Paignton.
It is the perfect campsite if you want some peace and quiet!

Really enjoyed visiting this site, stoke Gabriel is lovely and they have a couple of great pubs.
The site is clean and has all the facilities that you need. You can pick where you pitch so it's great for some privacy. The dogs were very welcome and they had some lovely walks too.
The shop was closed when we needed it and then the owner appeared and opened it again just for us! Couldn't ask for more when it came to customer service.
Would definitely recommend to other people and visit again
