This campsite was clean and very well run, no over crowding and very tranquil set alongside the canal.
At the adjacent Blue Lias Inn you could have a good meal as well as a drink with plenty of tables outside as well as inside.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Loved all the flowers and the whole setting of the campsite.
Will visit again.

The pros:
The campsite is laid out nicely, with big pitches and nice trees and a couple of ponds.
Its situated near the canal and has some nice walks from it.
There is a rally field near the main site and this was in use while we were there, but there wasn't any noticeable noise.
The cons:
We did have rather noisy neighbours, which somewhat spoilt our visit and there was a lot of barking and poorly controlled dogs.
There aren't enough toilets (two in the gents) and showers for the size of the site and they were a bit unkempt at times, with no toilet paper a couple of times.
There is only one water point for the site, which was surprising.
Overall, not a bad site, we may visit again, but it could do with the rules being enforced more.

This was the second visit to this site and as before cannot fault it.
Plenty of walks along the canal and places to eat out.
Fishing next to and in the site with loads of wildlife

All good, could not fault it, will be back for a longer stay,
The toilets and showers were first class very clean and spacious.
Large plots and well laid out.
The pub food was good for the price and the staff very helpful,
Like I said will be back.

This site is a favourite of mine, I went to rest and chill, and that’s exactly what I did, each morning I woke to a view overlooking the pond and to my left the canal,
We ate a couple of times at the Blue Lias and although basic, came out well presented and very hot, the young ladies that served the tables were very pleasant and professional,
Overall would highly recommended for both staying at this site and for the food,
I will be going back.

First time camping here and the site is very well maintained and also has a fishing lake. Toilets and shower facilities were absolutely spotless.
Ate and drank at the pub both evenings and the menu we were told was limited due to the present circumstances but what we did have was delicious.
The young service team were friendly and very attentive so we will definitely be returning to this site.
All in all a fantastic restful time with friendly people, so what more could you want. !

Beautiful site. I love a good shower and this did not disappoint. The restaurant however. Did!
Such a shame as amazing location but menu did not match at all.
Our stay was only marred by someone going down behind our van whilst out and knocking down and breaking our satellite dish! Expensive 2 days!
