I have just returned from a weekend with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. When we arrived the very kind ladies in the cafe stayed late to cook us a meal, over and above as they were only 5 mins from closing and stayed to cook an extra 8 meals. Many thanks again. The weather was a bit hit and miss but we had a great time. Everyone is so friendly and the site is very clean and tidy. The shower blocks had been re-vamped since our last visit and everything was new and spotless. There is even a free hairdryer and the water was hot! This was our 3rd visit to this site and we will return again.

Used this site for a one night stop before catching the ferry. We contacted the site before arrival as we were going to arrive late. The staff were very helpful and gave us the code for the gate over the phone and told us to pitch wherever we were happy to do so. As it was dark on arrival, to pitch where we liked was great, as we could pitch our tent near a light. The site was clean and well maintained. The ablution blocks were clean and warm. We had breakfast at the site cafe which was excellent value for money before boarding the ferry. Our stay was very short, but would definitely use again.

Just returned from a one night stay here prior to catching the Ferry to Europe in our VW Campervan and what a perfect start to our trip! The owners are really friendly and there is a nice laid back atmosphere here. The pitches are an excellent size and there is no check out time as such, as people are coming and going at all hours due to ferry times, which helped take the stress out for us. Despite the busy nature of the site, there was very little disturbance to us and we got a good night's sleep ! There is a lovely little shop and café on site, and toilets are clean and well maintained. One of our party didn't arrive until late at night, but we were able to let them in using our code on the barrier, and they paid the next morning. It's nice to see such common sense can still prevail at campsites in this country, as some can be so wrapped up in rules and regulations, they forget to see the stressed out people behind it all! The site is literally a 15 minute drive from the port at Dover, so was perfect in that respect too! All in all, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend this site to anyone!

It's always a pleasure going to this campsite, and this year was no exception. Whilst we were only there a few days, we really enjoyed it and will be going back again later this year. The welcome was good, and it was nice to be there whilst kids are still at school. Nice and quiet for the most part.

On the positive side, the campsite is well sheltered, especially from the wind which was handy because it was quite windy, and where we stayed, there were hedges separating the pitches. Also not many bugs around, but lots of rabbits to look at. The toilet blocks (or at least the one we used) was clean and tidy, and the radio is a nice touch.

On the negative side, the rabbits have left their markings all over the place, and the peace was shattered one morning by a chap cutting already short grass with a very large and noisy mower. He also uses a huge tractor to collect the waste from the ample rubbish bins on site. Aside from that one gripe, I do have a couple of niggly suggestions. They really ought to get the shower curtains and toilet seats replaced as both are past their best and showing their age a little.

Visited here as a stop-over for the Ferry next day. As others have said the site is clean, well kept and with friendly wardens, and loads of statics. We had to pay at the time of booking as it was just one night. The toilet and shower blocks were clean. Bit of a surprise to see the train going by so close to the touring field but this did not disturb us. The access to the site was a bit tricky through the little village, however on the way out there is a bit of a hill before you come to the main road. You then have to turn right for Dover across the traffic, this is quite frightening as there is limited visibility and cars travel at well over the 50mph limit-this might put us off coming here again. But a lovely site nevertheless.

Nice site handy for ferry site is 10 mins from port. Stayed there loads of times in the past you can pitch where you like. Very help full wardens. While there it's nice to visit Dover castle, Langdon cliffs lots of nice places to go. Cafe on site which Is handy and a shop selling basic supplies. Love visiting the site can't wait to go again.

A large well laid out site, focussed on static holiday homes. There is hard standing for caravans and ample water, toilets, showers etc.

However, the camping field has very little grass and remained muddy throughout my short stay. This mud transferred to the showers where there was no mop for cleaning up.

The £15 fee for one person in a tent is high for March and is the same as two adults with a caravan and 4 wheel drive! Strangely for a leisure facility, the reception kept office hours with arrivals after 5pm being guided to an overnight field.

Had a fantastic stay here, beautiful well kept site so welcoming. Workers never stop to make your stay enjoyable. Toilets and showers are spotless and clean. The cafes food is very yummy lol. And those ladies never stop. The site is in such a beautiful location in the country with access to a train that takes you to all places of interests. I will be going again with all my family again. Definitely.

The site is lovely. Very pretty and lots of bunnies around. There are plenty of different pitches to place your caravan and you get to choose where you want to be placed with many of the pitches separated from the one next to it by a big hedge so there is plenty of space and it feels quite private. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts and lunches are good too. We parked our caravan right at the far end. But it was only a couple of minutes walk to the loos. The showers are included in the hire charge so no hunt for 20P pieces. The hairdryer facility was free too. There are also washing machines and other equipment for those who want to use it.

There is a railway line along side. But we arrived on Sunday and didn't notice any trains. On weekdays there were trains but very quiet and seemed to pass in 2 or 3 secs. Perhaps a couple of times an hour. But I didn't really notice them.

The only downside I can think of is that wifi is quite expensive at £5 per day.

But to be honest I haven't got a bad word to say about the place. I will deffo be going there again. Perhaps many times :)

Great site, close to the port and Folkstone, this was the second visit in 2 years and we were still impressed. The facilities were good and clean. The reception was very friendly and helpful the café on site is great. Would have no hesitation in going back only draw back is if you are up the back of the site the trains are annoying. The internet is a bit off and on though, but I got a trial code from the lady in reception so I didn't have to pay, as it didn't work.
