Second time we have stayed at the site and once again was not disappointed.
Booked in and found that the Manager had not charged us for our two dogs and when asked was told to not worry about them.
The plot was great with plenty of room for two large tents and five kids.
Every where was clean and tidy and each camping area has a set of bins even emptied on a Sunday).
The shower rooms were kept to a high standard during our stay with no waiting or hot water issues.
Nice site and will book again.

What a great site this is, The shower and toilet blocks are clean and very well maintained.
There is a shop and a cafe on site. It is situated in the middle of Deal and Dover so easy access to a town or supermarket etc. The park is very well looked after. I would strongly recommend this site to other people.
The park is split into different, sections we stayed in a lovely section surrounded by trees for added privacy. There are water points in every section so not far to walk to refill.
I am booking this site again for next month.
The managers are also very friendly and helpful.

We have been visiting this site regularly since the 1980's and never been disappointed. There are a lot of statics on site, but barely noticeable as discreetly hidden behind hedgerows etc. An excellent shop and cafe is open long hours.
Perfect location for the ferries to and from France. There is a security barrier requiring a card for entrance after a certain time but late arrivals are catered for in a field close to the entrance which now has electricity.
Toilets/showers (2 blocks) are very clean with plenty of hot water, but perhaps starting to look a little tired, but don't be put off - they are fine.
The management do not bother you at all unless rules are being broken, but are always available if you need help. Very rural and pretty.
Mixture of hard standing and grass as well as large open field used mainly by tenters. Easy drive to Dover, Walmer, Deal and beyond but also served by a mainline rail link as well as a local bus, within short walking distance of the site.
Highly recommended

The second visit to this site within a few weeks as its only a short distance from my house!
A group of us go just to get away and relax, the kids go off playing, the dogs run about and we drink and eat! Its not been busy either times we have been and no one bothers us to leave on time.
You almost have a mini campsite to yourself as all the pitches are split into small areas were you can get about 10 tents/caravans, all surrounded by trees. Although the non electric field is just a large open space.
The site is well kept, and toilet blocks etc all very clean.
We will be going again soon!

Amazing Place! Toilet blocks are so clean and heated. Staff so helpful and friendly. Plenty of space whether you need electrical hook up or not.
The shop on site is ideal-the cafe does superb food! A real favourite that we will return to again and again.
Easily accessible from Dover or the environs. Great base for visiting Canterbury, Deal, Whitstable-the list goes on. The choice is never ending and you really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
Very peaceful-go visit and prepare to relax!

Arrived after 6pm so couldn't get on the main site - had to park on the 'late arrivals' spot which if you get there first allows you to hook up to an electric point through a hedge on to the main site.
Site is fine for an overnighter prior to a ferry. It is at the edge of the village, 10 min from the ferry. Train line runs on an embankment right next to the site and trains are frequent.
Toilet/wash block is good. Didn't use any other facilities. Early start - trust box for payment. I will use this site again!

Just got back from a lovely weekend. This is the fifth time we have stayed here and never been disappointed. The site is very well kept and split into smaller sections so you don't feel too enclosed. Some of the pitches are separated by 6ft high shrubs which is nice and a bit more private.
The main toilet block is very well kept and 'heated' but there is another block further down the site which again is clean and heated.
Some of the pitches are close to a railway line which isn't a problem as the last train is around 23:00 and they don't really disturb you much and the kids will love them.
There is a small shop on site that does provide the essentials and there is also a cafe / takeaway the provide excellent food at reasonable prices.
Overall as you would expect as we have been there five times we would recommend this site not only for what we have said but that it's only about 10mins from Dover and Deal

A perfect place to visit Dover and the coast. We stayed there for 2 nights (Fri-Sun) just before the trip back with the ferry and there was no problem getting a pitch without having booked. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Access to the site via a narrow road, but there is no traffic at all.
There is a small shop and cafe at the reception which we didn't use.
The toilet block we used was very clean and spacious. The shower heads seemed to be scaled and the water wasn't always hot. The washing-up sinks are outside but under a roof (you won't get wet).
Electric hook-ups were located somewhere in the field, so you might need a long cable (30m). There were no bordered pitches on our field, you can just set up where it fits.
You can leave at any time, which is perfect for the early ferries.
We've been here for the second time and will chose this site again when using the Dover passage.

We visited this site along with a group of friends for a long weekend.
The pitches are split by small hedges, generally level and are a decent size. There is plenty of space for the little ones to run around.
The showers were warm at evening time but got cold at peak morning, if you have read older reviews you will know that since about May 2008 there have been complaints about the cold showers.
In August 2010 they were still cold, but the two blocks were clean and tidy including the washing up areas.
All washrooms areas had a small carpark area.
All in all a nice tidy site.

Well we booked this site for a car rally for about 10-12 cars/families for a long weekend. The owners / managers(?) bent over backwards to help and offered us everything.
The rally site turned out to be a shared overflow field down by the set of toilets. Mainly electrics thankfully so we should have been alright.
Sadly, the owners continually sent 'one nighters' heading for France down to us as they arrived. At 11.00 pm we were helping new arrivals to fit tents and caravans into the not overly large pitches. At 7.00 am we were helping them get back out!
The toilets were tired, but clean. If you have read older reviews you will know that since about May 2008 there have been complaints about the cold showers. In August 2010 they were still cold! The office was apologetic and they had a man on the case but it took 7 nights to get a warm morning shower. The newer block by the office was in fact little better.
Good points. Well to be fair there are some!
The site is reasonably quiet but the 10.30 curfew was not heeded by some and not policed
The smallish pitches are fenced off from each other by laurel bushes to give privacy. Access to the site is ok and reasonably sign posted.
11mb/s wifi is available and at £5.00 per 24 hrs is about the norm and it worked well.
Freeview TV reception was excellent.
Kids are very welcome but there is little but exploring in the woods for them to do. There is a park of sorts about 3/4 mile away left out of the camp gates and then left again, set in a footie field!
Rabbits roamed the site day and night. Quaint!
Staff are friendly even if they do seem to be saying what you want to hear as opposed to actually doing what you want!
