Nice site with friendly warden. Has freezer freely available for freezer packs & a launderette. Shower block all clean and serviceable, but can't choose temperature of showers and you have to hold the button in with one hand and try and wash with the other.
Field is nice and level, surrounded by trees and there doesn't seem to be a time limit for arriving which is handy (no gate or barrier gets closed). It's a shame that it's not more picturesque - views of fenced off ponds and new holiday chalets spoil the setting a bit.
Apart from that, not a bad site at all.
Also, surrounding area is fabulous.

There were 3 tents and when we arrived 10.30am they were very busy and the only places available on the main campsite was against an orange fence segregating the camping field and a building site area, but we were told there was no building going on over the weekend so we were happy to accept and pitch facing away from this unpleasant site.
The warden was quite helpful and he came back later in the evening to collect our money. The toilet / shower block was very good, there were plenty of toilets and 5 showers with a small drying area. There is a hairdryer for use and a small hand dryer. There are also some sockets which I guess for those who can't live without a set of straightening irons could make use of. Outside of the toilets there was a large area for washing up. The site had a shop but we never made use of it.
The children had lots of fun, exploring the field, ponds, and orchard and there was quite a few areas where they could have a kick around with a ball, or play a game. Lots of the children had bikes, and sometimes it was a bit of a concern for their safety when cars were entering and leaving the camp site even at slow speeds.
We really enjoyed our time here, we were a little miffed that the builders arrived at 9am on Bank Holiday Monday and some digging noise commenced. We would return to this site but would hope to secure one of the pitches away from the building area.

Went here Bank Holiday weekend.
Great site showers/toilets kept very clean.
Prices very reasonable compared to other sites.
Warden extremely helpful.
We went with a party of 2 tents and turned up quite late approx 7.30pm. But this didn't cause any problems. We were shown to our pitch and allowed to get settles without any hassle. Warden came following day to collect money.
Little gem of a site will definitely return.

A nice tidy campsite with a small reception but no shop or clubhouse. Very good toilet facilities with free hot showers and an area within the shower cubicle to dry off and change. Sink area within the shower area away from the toilets. Sink area for washing up and water facilities. The camping field is quite large and there are two small lakes with fishing allowed. If you like a quiet, peaceful site this is it. Two miles along a busy road to the nearest shops, pub and chinese take away. Biddenden is a lovely area with Headcorn airport only a few miles away.

What a fantastic place! Everything you could possibly want from a low cost camp site. Absolutely value for money.
The toilet and shower facilities were excellent, warm showers and clean toilets.
The campsite manager was very friendly and helpful, really nice guy.
As two young couples visiting we had a nice relaxing time. In the day we felt absolutely fine leaving our stuff behind whilst we explored the area, and at night we enjoyed seating outside our tent with a few well chosen drinks enjoying the atmosphere.
We were worried about being too loud for the neighbours but because we were nicely spaced it didn't seem to be a problem.
I would definitely go back. Great cost effective way to enjoy the area, and that's saying something as I'm usually fussy.

Just back from a lovely few days at this site.
We went with another family, like us, with 3 kids. It was the first crack at camping for both us (other than 1 failed attempt on the wettest bank holiday in living memory a couple of years ago, but we've now forgotten all about that!) and we all had a great time.
Helped by the glorious weather, this site is very welcoming. It was pretty quiet considering we went in the school holidays and we had plenty of choice of where to pitch. We chose an area on the far side of the field by the perimeter hedgerow, still close enough to the toilet / shower block, but we felt nicely isolated.
The kids had plenty of room to run around and play cricket and football, but do make sure you take your own stuff for them to play with as there are no play areas. There are a couple of small ponds on the site where you can fish, but be warned, there are signs up saying you must have a fishing licence!
The toilets and showers were very clean, and there was plenty of hot water.
Lots to do nearby, the Biddenden vineyard is well worth a visit. With the sun burning down you could have been walking around a vineyard in the South of France!
All-in-all a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be paying another visit there during the summer. What's more, it's less than an hour from London - but certainly doesn't feel like it.

Just returned from visiting this site and will not be returning! Welcome was ok when we arrived, just told to follow the road and the site warden would show us where to pitch, if not just find the pitch number and pitch. We duly set off, looking for the warden who was nowhere to be found, so we started to pitch our tent. We are fairly new to camping, so with windy conditions it took us 2 hours to put up our tent as it blew down twice!
Eventually the warden turned up and told us that we had pitched in the wrong place and that we were taking up 2 pitches. We had parked right by the sign stating our pitch number. The warden told us that it would be a problem as there were caravans near to us. (We had pitched directly opposite other tents). There were no signs telling you where to pitch, ie; pitch between pitch numbers.
This dampened our spirits being told off in such a loud and rude way - we were made to feel like naughty school children!
The site warden was no-where to be found during the rest of our stay, and there was noise after 11pm at night.
On the plus side, the toilets were clean for about 10 mins per day immediately after being cleaned. The rest of the time they were dirty and not kept supplied with essentials - no soap, toilet roll, hand dryers not working etc. Showers too hot for young children with no way of controlling water temperature.
Nothing for children to do on site.

Just back from a 4 night stay over the late May bank holiday weekend. Chose the location as visiting family / friends in the area having lived near 30 years ago. A large open site with a reasonable toilet block, alright for the fewer numbers on the Friday / Monday but during Sat/Sun they were always busy & a queue was the norm between 7 & 9. The 4 showers were very hot, with no heat control & too hot for some youngsters. The siting of pitches appeared somewhat haphazard & finding a route back to the van was at times challenging because of tents which “popped up” whilst out. Pitch sizes were reasonable, Bikes are allowed but grandson received a gash to the head from one of the many junior riders. Investing in some decent play equipment would be good as there is nothing else on site to keep the little cherubs entertained unless you brought it with you. Small shop sold essentials but local shops not far away. Always better when the sun shines which it did plenty of for a change.

We saw this site at its best on a hot Bank Holiday weekend. The area the site is situated is very picturesque and certainly worth a visit. Sissinghurst and its vegetable garden is a must.
The site was very well maintained with an excellent ablution block. The welcome was warm and friendly and you can choose more or less where you want to pitch. No booking required for non-EHU folk.
We would certainly use this site again and would recommend it - we spent 80% of the weekend just lounging about which is testimony to how nice it is.

A pleasant site which is very well situated for many of the local attractions. Plenty of space and if you're not worried about having EHU, pitch where you like.
Only one toilet block with just a few showers each for men and women. Over the bank holiday weekend with approx 200 units on site these facilities were very quickly messy and queues for showers etc long. They didn't seem to be cleaned more than once a day, despite the high usage. The campsite is still experiencing problems with water pressure, so showers were a bit all-or-nothing.
The reception/shop was quite good and pleasantly surprised to find prices quite reasonable, although they could do with being open before 9.30 in the mornings if you need breakfast items!
Kids were having a great time, playing ball games, cycling. It was all very relaxed.
We will use this site again as it's in lovely countryside, but also close enough to the coast.
