Lovely campsite! Very busy as over bank holiday but didn't seem it! Never queued for toilets or showers which were cleaned regularly.
Some people with music but all turned off before 9pm, lots of children but they all played happily together at other end of site! Never really heard a peep out of any of them!
Little shop very useful. Stocked basics such as drinks, snacks, gas. But get up early if you want a newspaper!
Make sure you arrive as early as possible on Bank Holiday weekends to get good pitch as no pitches can be reserved! Loads of space mind you.
Local Tenterden lovely although small and a bit sleepy. Would recommend going to Bodiam Castle on the Kent and East Sussex Railway (you get a discount on your entry into casle with train ticket!). Castle Inn next to Bodiam Castle. Ok place, kinda ok food. Pub smells a bit funny though! Friendly staff though!
Avoid Leeds Castle on bank holidays.

Have been here a couple of times now. With the exception of EHU you can pitch where you like. This means you can be alone or part of a group easily. The EHU area is more lumpy and sloping than other areas but not too much that you would have a major problem. It is just a case of careful pitching.
EHU gets busy at weekend so book up to guarantee a place although space always has been available when we have visited.
The EHU area did get noisier at the weekend but it was the early risers rather than the late nighters that disturbed us. There is a noise rule between 10.30pm and 8am, but no staff are around after 5pm until 8am so this is not enforced.
The shower block was cleaned daily around lunchtime. This did mean the ladies was locked for about an hour (mens still open!) which was a pain, but once we knew we planned toilet trips around it. Having the disabled toilet available for the ladies at this time would help.
There is a dip in the middle of the field which the kids loved playing in, though it did get quite wet and also one child thought it would be fun to break glass bottles in the area so worth checking before you send kids off to play as I don't know if staff check for litter in this area.
Investing in some play equipment would be good as there is no club or pool onsite.
There is an indian fairly close and pubs/takeaways/shops in the local villages, all would require a car though. Tenterden is about 20 minutes away and has a Waitrose and Tesco that are both fairly well stocked.
There are a number of places to visit in the area, including a number of castles. London and the coast are within a couple of hours drive if you fancy going a bit further.

We visited Woodlands Park for a weekend break. Being August we were concerned that we couldnt confirm a pitch, but they said they have never turned anyone away and all would be fine. When arrived could see why they field was massive and we found a nice spot in the field along the edge.
Kids had a great time with lots of room to play and had great fun in the large crater in the middle of the field (I spent most of the weekend waiting for someone to drive into it in the dark!). Toilet block and showers were immaculate and so clean. Located in the middle of the field there was not far to go to get to these where ever you camped.
There was some picnic tables dotted around the site to use, but not enough really usually when one came free there were lots of families waiting to grab one, so your very lucky if you do get one to use.
We had a nice break here and will return its on our list of favourites.

Just been to this site with UKCS meet. Very good open site, with plenty of room for all type of units, but book if you need EHU as this is mainly situated in the middle of the field. Lots of shelter around the outside, 2 small ponds. Excellent shower and toilet facilities which are kept very clean. Good site for touring the local area and many attractions near by, or within easy reach.

Just returned from this site. Wow! a really lovely place to stay. Nice location for you to explore the local area. The site is nice and big and mainly flat. Plenty of space for individual space or if your going with a group. Book if you want EHU. The facilities are good and clean. Large and well looked after. Little ponds are dotted around and there is a great dip in the middle where the children seem to spend all day playing safely. A great site and well worth a visit.

We bought a new tent and wanted somewhere close to test it for 1 night and this was a great site - we which we could have stayed longer - we didn't want to leave!
Was a massive field for campers - everyone has there own space, you could pitch where you wanted which is a rare things. You were given a tent tag to display - prices were reasonable.
The washing up facilities were good and the toilet block was very good. Seemed to be kept very clean, cleaned daily.
We were informed that the camp site has been sold so it will be interesting to see what the new owners do to the site, hope they don't change the campsite for us 'happy campers'!
We hope to return to this camp site very soon.

Bank Holiday weekend: very busy but plenty of space, being able to pick where to pitch a rarity these days. Quite a few hook ups (all booked up). I like not having to book a pitch, if you turn up and there is space you just pitch and pay in the morning. An old fashioned way to do things but great! A few party weekenders who were rather noisy but all quiet by midnight so no real complaints. Very comprehensive and clean facilities although only one block for the whole camping field this proved to be adequate. A freezer in the laundry area free of charge for coldbox blocks. It was a very wet weekend and the ground did struggle to absorb the terrential rainfall. Cars ferrying back and forth the the toilet block didn't help as they churned up lots of mud. Staff very friendly and helpful. Local shops (St Michaels village) including a brilliant butchers for bbqs and breakfast fry ups, mostly free range and local produce. Small well stocked supermarket next door and post office etc. Would highly recommend for families and couples alike as field big enough to encourage families to play games together instead of sending kids off to separate playing fields. Will be returning with the grandchildren, they will love it!

Just got back from a wet bank holiday weekend @ Woodlands that was our 3 year olds first camping experience. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for him.
Great site with excellent facilities. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff at the shop. The shop offers all the essentials but if you need more choice go to Biddenden, Tenterden or even Ashford - all easily reachable within 20 minutes. We noticed that a couple of the pubs on the road towards Ashford had close down and were now Indian restaurants (a sad sign of the times!)
The site is large and flat and if you don't require an electric hook up you can pitch wherever you want.
The site was very clean and well maintained. The shower block was cleaned twice daily.
The showers were busy but that's to be expected. There was problem with the water temperature fluctuating but this was explained by a notice advising there was a problem with the water pressure in the area and the water company are working on it. My wife's only issue was the hairdryer not working in the ladies.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area so pick up some guides from the shop and enjoy some beautiful Kent countryside. If the weather is poor you can visit the Designer Outlets in nearby Ashford - over 100 shops offering discount shopping.
Will definitely visit again soon!

Great campsite, with a very flat and spacious camping field. We arrived late in the evening and found there was masses of space to choose where to pitch our tent. Toilet facilities excellent, although we did have to queue for showers, but this is only to be expected at busy periods. We found the campsite pleasingly quiet even though there seemed to be many children and families present, there was no noise at all after 9.30pm ish. Would definitely return to stay here again if ever in the area.

What an excellent site. A very busy and gloriously warm Bank Holiday weekend, but facilities were kept very clean. A small shop on site, sold the essentials. Staff were friendly. A short drive to Tenterden, with it's Rare Breed centre and steam railway. Great days out for all the family. Plenty of other attractions around the area, and the campsite was centrally based. A number of EHU's available, but we didn't use one, so can't comment much. The kids were not bothered with the absence of a play area, as they happily played with the neighbours kids. Will definitely be going back.
