We first visited this camp site, in Very bad weather so unfortunately, we did not venture out to much.

The facilities are good and the toilets are clean and tidy. The kids loved the play area. The surroundings are beautiful. There is a pleasant looking pub at the entrance of the site (a small short walk)which looks lovely.

This is a lovely camp site and we have booked again for July/August and can not wait:)lets just hope we hit lucky with the weather for a change.

Just returned from a weekend at croft farm, on arrival your check in at reception with a £5 deposit for key pass for toilet and gate pass, we had a hardstanding electric pitch overlooking the lake which is perfect, lots of different water activities going on throughout the day, the site has small park, amusements, and clubhouse, restaurant etc. The gym on site is £5 pp per day and has a great choice of modern cardio and weight machine etc. The toilet block were fairly modern and always clean, also has a river running alongside the caravan park with free fishing, we had a few hours in tewksbury town which is only 2 miles away from site, well worth a look, will return to this at sometime in the future.

Just stayed at Croft Farm over the Easter bank holiday. This is our second stay and once again we would definitely return. We were three tents (all electric) camping in the top field next to the lake and the views are spectacular. I have to agree that the toilets and showers are a little disappointing in this area. However the toilets are clean and they are adequate. A short walk to the other side of the campsite and the showers are excellent. We used the club house on the Sunday evening and although it was busy they dealt with a food order for nine quickly and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the steak!

Site Location 9 out of 10 as its beautiful but you can hear the motorway. Didn't bother us though. Also visited Tewkesbury and Gloucester.

Site facilities 6 out of 10 as the showers are not very private in this field

Value for money 8 out of 10. Deducted a couple of points as my daughter arrived 15 mins before check in time on to an empty pitch and was charged £5. 00 early arrival time. We should have read the small print and waited to check in. We have never paid an early arrival charge before!

Customer Service 10 out of 10

Overall rating 8 out of 10 for the reasons stated above.

Had a great time and look forward to coming back.

Spent a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend at this site.

The owners were very helpful not at all pushy and intrusive.

We had a good pitch on hardstanding with electricity.

The toilets were close by, very clean as were the showers. Hot and plenty of room in the cubicle.

The whole site was well maintained bearing in mind it was under water only 2 weeks before we arrived, the team had done an amazing job at restoring the site to be fully functioning.

We will definitely be returning here.

2nd visit here we always go in a large group as they are very casual on large group bookings which does mean there can be noise, haphazard pitching and lots of groups around you, however we love it.

Beautiful setting around a lovely lake with watersports and all manner of pedalos / paddleboards / windsurfing etc to hire from the hire shop near the beach area.

Bar and restaurant which we didn't use but does do a carvery and disco nights

Dogs welcome

Play area and games room and plenty of room for ball games

It is a more basic style of camping toilets and showers are right over by the gym or the more basic army barrack style ones are nearer. It's very relaxed. Plenty for kids and not loads of rules and regs. However this may not suit all as it can feel like a free for all at times

We had been to Croft Farm a few times for the day and looked to book a weekend get together with a load of friends and family (about 8 units in total). This was no problem for the site and they even managed to get us right on the lake with a mix of tents and caravans.

We had a fantastic weekend with lovely warm and sunny weather, the kids spent all day in the lake. There is no charge to use the lake if your camping and we took our own kayaks, although they hire everything from kayaks, to wind surfers, to pedal boats in the shape of a swan should you need them. The site had very few rules, so we we're allowed to swim across the lake and do pretty much anything anytime day or night. The lake had speed boats pulling bananas and kids building ramps to cycle their bikes into the lake?? All a bit bonkers, but everything seemed to work fine.

Shower/toilet block was clean and tidy every visit, with ample space and continuous running hot/adjustable showers. The site was over all very clean and pleasant.

We didn't frequent the club house because we we're enjoying the lake with our group, but on the face of it looked okay.

Only downer for the weekend was the staff. It could have been that the sun was shining and they didn't want to be there, but they all seemed to be a bit rude to us and my friends on separate occasions through out the weekend.

My friend had used the café for breakfast and was told he couldn't deviate from the list. It was more how he was told this and he also couldn't understand the logic of not wanting to change say beans for mushrooms. We we're also spoken too rudely when we queried the bill - turned to be our own mix up and the bill was right, but all the same 'attitude'!

Overall though we would go again as a group, not so sure we would as a single family though.

We've just returned from our first visit here. On the face of it, this wouldn't have normally been the type of site that we would choose(. With it's organised water sports, 'clubhouse', kiddies play area etc)but we were attending a 'gig' in the Lakeside Cafe'.

However, we had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, it's a nicely laid out site and the staff were very friendly.

A large percentage of the 'touring' caravans on site do seem to be pitched for the season (with their 'full' awnings, little gardens, gravel pathways etc) and this, along with their accompanying flags, canoes, windsurfers etc, did lead to some areas looking a little 'cramped'(. The area in which our 'Lakeside, hardstanding pitch' was located did feel a little 'cramped', especially when compared to some of the more open, grass pitch areas. ). Also, some of these 'seasonally pitched' vans had their A frames pointing away from the road, which meant that if you reversed a 'UK sided' caravan in, you'd be looking straight into their habitation door/awning (this may bother some people).

We were given an 'info sheet' on arrival but a simple map of sorts would've also been handy.

For those with youngsters, it is worth noting that there is no life guard on duty(so, Your kids, You keep an eye on 'em!). And oddly, there didn't seem to be any lifebouys around the lake either.

We would certainly go back. Although it wouldn't be during school hols. And we'd choose a, hopefully, less crowded area of the site.

The reason this site worked for us was because we went with 2 other sets of friends who were in tents, we have a tourer, we were able to pitch together set up camp and were left alone to get on with, it was great to all be together with hardly any rules/regulations etc had we gone as a single family unit I wouldn't of enjoyed it so much definitely had a festival / rally feel to the whole site and facilities are basic so if you want to let your hair down play some music let your kids run wild and sit up chatting with a camp fire heres the place to do it, if you want peace solitude and luxury this is not the place for you.

Unmarked grass pitches with electric, we were on the front row overlooking the lake on top of a slope in the top field superb views however jammed in at the back. Tents, caravans pitched all over the place but nice amosphere fairly flat and dry.

Toilets a long walk we had to use the ones shared with the gym, 2 showers ??? not close or private enough to walk over in your Pjs as they are right in the thick of it by the bar, need a good clean, ran out of loo roll and handsoap very basic

Bar, busy there was a band on lovely setting however right on the lake but its very popular wih people who are not staying on the site

No shop they are missing a golden opportunity to make money and provide a good service to cusomers

Gym - extra cost but looked well equipped

Watersports fab. Pedalos canoes rafts everything you could think of. Superb. Lots of people all ages swimming in the lake there's a beach area by the club but its very busy as you can visit for the day for £5 and lots of large groups of teenagers and families do, our kids went lake swimming and loved it a great back to nature experience

Staff ok quite abrupt and matter of fact but well manned reception.

Good play park and games room

This site is vey busy with day visitors, school watersports and they run activity days/weekends and there is a lot of hustle and bustle, toilets and showers basic but if you want to get away in a group or go for a rally the lack of restrictions make it hassle free I would definitely visit again with friends

 Overview

Easy to find and on arrival the staff were welcoming. We arrived during the week, the site was relatively empty and we were not sited but given general directions to where we needed to be.

Pitch

We sited on a well drained pebbled pitch with tap and electric hook up nearby, pegs for the awning went in easily.

Staff

Camp Staff were welcoming but not chatty, one individual was very quiet. During the busy weekend they all appeared stressed.

Security

A series of fob operated (£5 deposit) barriers in operation were good but I couldn't understand the £5 charge applied to our neighbors grandchild who visited for the day.

Site

Easily accessible by road, centered around a lovely lake (0. 75 mile walk), great for dog owners. Access to the river Avon. Pitches are flat, well maintained and set in three areas.

General

During our stay there was a Triathlon event which meant that for half a day the whole site was very busy, but this didn't intrude. This site does not have a shop which for its size is bizarre, we used the pub, not the club house. It was a shame that the clubhouse is not open in the evening during the week.

Site easy to find, we were staying with friends so we had booked 4 pitches together overlooking the lake. On arrival we found reception and booked in, as we were the first of our party to arrive we were told we would be shown where the pitches were. We followed a member of staff who stopped, pointed to 4 pitches then drove away he did not show us where the water or toilet blocks were or give any other information.

The pitches are large, pebbled hard standing. We were on the front as requested so we had a very nice view. Good site if you are into water sports although we saw several children out on canoes etc without life jackets!

We had a lot of rain during our stay and the whole site was very badly waterlogged including our pitches even though they are hard standing which led to our belongings in the awning becoming wet through when a puddle formed at one end.

Showers not well looked after, bar area overrun with unsupervised children at weekends. No fishing on lake but easy access to the river for free fishing, which fished very well.

Good area, short drive to Tewksbury which has a good assortment of shops and has a Morrisons and Aldi supermarket.
