Positives:
Excellent views
Wonderful peace
Great facilities (God knows what the other reviews are talking about there were at least 6 showers in the gents and no key fob malarky. Plus there was electricity in there for shavers etc)
Games room (good mix of arcade and classic games (table tennis, air hockey, pool, driving games, shooting games etc)
Freezing of ice packs on site (see below though)
Adventure play park
Friendly staff
Beautiful nearby town
BIG pitch
No cramming in (quite the opposite, they enforce a good distance between pitches)
Relaxed but efficient (mostly)
Cheap
Negatives:
Ladies shower room not as nice (or perhaps ladies too bloody fussy as the gents was great)
Windy
No roof on washing up area
Not enough water taps around the site
Bit of a faff to get ice packs
Hire of equipment and lessons are probably very reasonable in comparison to similar places but seemed expensive to us.
Blue-Green Algae and duck weed in the lake leading to recommendations of no swimming which is a real shame (but didn't stop us)
No swimming pool which might seem an odd gripe with the fantastic lake there but to be honest it is conspicuous with its absence due to the gym/climbing wall etc
This was a lovely site with a wonderful setting. We spent every day out on the lake in our row boat with our eldest swimming between the buoys until he got his confidence up and ended up swimming the whole width of the lake not bad for a dyspraxic 7 year old.
The pub on the road opposite was a little loud on the Sunday night but I don't think this is normal.
The town is gorgeous and just adds to the whole package.
We will be visiting again.

Went here with our friends, (2 families of 2 adults and 2 kids) for a weekend.
Had a great time, Showers were excellent, facilities were excellent too. Only thing I could criticise is there is no shop on site, but Tewkesbury (gorgeous little town)is only a 5 minute drive were there is a couple of supermarkets and a superb market on saturdays (We got enough high quality meat to feed us all weekend for £20!). The Pitches were good we got one at the far end which suited us as we had small kids we didn't want to be too close to the lake. The River Avon is a 5 minutes walk from the site too, where you can also hire kayaks etc. The on site bar is lovely and cosy with a verander overlooking the lake.
ONLY downside. I have never seen so many wasps! Nobody got stung but they were always about.
Overall a very good site indeed! would go back again and again!

Have just stayed here for the weekend so we could visit Fairford Air Show. The reviews we had read influenced our decision to book this site. The site was very busy with both tents and caravans. It appeared rather cramped and the pitches appeared haphazard. Whilst the facilities were clean, they appeared tired and am not sure that they could cope with the number of people on site. That said, it was quite clear that the lake was the major attraction and most people there were making full use of it. This is clearly a very popular site but the very pot-holed roadways do not show the site at its best. If you can tear yourself away from the lake, Tewkesbury is a beautiful market town and is only about a 5 minute drive from the site. Good shops and walks along the canal and rivers.

We have just come back from this site this weekend.
Toilet and shower block, fantastic, play area suitable and games room was good, especially as we discovered, with bad weather etc.
The pitch we were given for our tent was fantastic with a lakeside view :) Plenty room to sit outside of tent and peg the dog out. In fact it was nice not to feel crammed in at all.
There was a pub nearly directly outside the site, however bar/cafe situated on site, so no real need to go any further. (Food a little over priced). Bar did have entertainment on, on the Friday evening, noise did not disturb as we were the other side of the lake.
Activities to use were great, rowing boat, pedal boat, canoes, windsurfing lessons, as well as many more, also a gym and sauna, all of this situated on site. Brill site! All rounder.
Will definitely be returning, hopefully when I can read the weather forecast :)

Croft Farm is a good site for those that like activities such as: Windsurfing, boating and fishing. It is a quiet site and I doubt there are ever many children on site. However, there is a games room and a good sized play area for children, plus a gym.
None of the above were used by our party, so perhaps this site wasn't one for us. The price per night reflects all those activities above. I am guessing you'd have to pay extra to use some of the activities, but I am unsure about that.
Putting that aside, the site was very good. The Toilet block was very nice. We were on the bottom field, with hard standing and electric hook up. In the ladies there were two showers, which were hot and clean and with ample room inside to dress without getting the bottom of your trousers wet. There were three washrooms with a sink in and about four toilets. There are no electric points in the toilet block, but there is a hairdryer. (Not that good though)
At the back of the toilet block there is a washing up area with two sinks. However this was not very clean and the water wasn't that hot.
Because the site is based around a lake, there are a lot of ducks and swans, which I think wander around and find shelter in the washing up area from the wind and rain. Hence why they never seemed that clean.
When we went we were lucky that it wasn't that busy. There is no real dog run for our Springer Spaniel, but because the field we were in was quiet, we were able to let him off the lead for a good run. Had it been the height of the season, I doubt we could have done this, therefore although dogs are allowed, there is no real good dog run.
If you do go to this site, please do remember to take awnings wind straps and wind breaks. It seems to be a site that catches the wind.
Lots of the pitches are taken up with seasonal pitches, so it seems to have a community feel to it.
Overall, it's a good site, but make sure if you go, you are using the facilities, otherwise it is an expensive time.
There is a pub just across the road from the site, and the town centre is only a couple of miles away.

This site is great. We loved it. The owners are very helpful to the extent that when we booked, it was very busy and 2 of our friends didn't have a electrical hookup .The owner popped round to ask if everything was ok and ended up supplying us with 2 hookup splitters free of charge. He didn't even charge us for the electricity!
The site is very clean and child friendly.
The toilet and shower blocks are kept clean and tidy. The lake is great fun for the whole family.
You have to have a keyfob to use the facilities and to open the gates so there's a sense of security.
The pub and onsite takeaway are good value, with a good selection.
Shopping is only a few miles away in the beautiful town of Tewkesbury and they even have a open market on Saturday.
We have been here a few times and would highly recommend this site.
Its definitely worth a visit.

Had stayed here years ago when it was just small site it had improved much during that time. We had pitch far side of the lake right at the back of the field site was very full cars were very close to the vans ground was ok but not good for pushing buggy/prams. Toilet block was good with good disabled room. Pleasant site but too crowded gor our taste but it was peak season both visits , so maybe we will try it some other time mid week

My first impression of the site was that it was really pretty. Our pitch had a lovely view of the lake; we were on a small hill which was a good move as I noticed the ground on the other side of the lake seemed rather muddy in comparison. The pitch price was reasonable compared to what we have paid in the past at £20 per night for electric hook up, 3 people and 1 dog.
On arrival the owner inspected our electric cable and made us go into Tewkesbury to get a power breaker for it. So be warned if you haven't got one - he is rather vigilant!
My OH loved it as he has his own windsurf kit and he spent quite some time on the water.
The pub was nice and friendly they have a tv which shows sporting events which pleased my OH as he didn't have to miss his F1. Dogs are welcome in the pub.
There are a variety of watersports on offer and they offer wetsuit hire etc. There is a small shop that sells surf boards etc.
Showers and toilets are good - there are differing reviews below, which is because there are 2 blocks; the one near reception and the bar is the one with only 2 showers. I didn't use the pot washing as we cheat and take paper plates so we don't have a lot of pots and just boil the kettle up at the tent!
Tewkesbury is a very pretty town with nice traditional shops alongside bigger High street names.
Would go back again.

Great site. Big tent area where you can pitch wherever you want. Facilities clean and very usable although shower units had rather large cobwebs in much to my sons dislike ! Lots to watch as sailing on the lake and river just a short walk up a footpath. Felt safe with kids despite the obvious water link. Great park.

Lovely, lovely campsite Reception area with sweet/icecream shop, small clubhouse with a bar / cafe area, (told you can put ice packs in the freezer here if you need to) climbing frame/slide area for kids on one side of a large very picturesque lake and camping (mixture of caravans and tents) on the field on the opposite side of the lake.
Had no problems getting a pitch! Campsite was nicely spread out and not at all cramped whilst we were there ! No idea if this is policy not to have too many bookings or if we just chose a quiet weekend !
Decent and clean toilet facilities with showers and separate sink cubicles and then a new shower block with four completely individual showers with small dressing area each! ( Note; No electricity in washrooms /toilets ! Hairdryer really not worth it! not a problem for us but know some sites do offer this)
Washing up facilities were two very large deep outdoor sinks with a wooded canopy and wooded slatted draining areas either side so plenty of space!
Very close (5 mins in car) to Tewksbury town for supermarket and chip shop etc! Pub opposite entrance at top site!
Reception very helpful and owner very hands on and knows what's what and who's who! Lake has water sports of all sorts available and although we didn't join in provided great entertainment!
Absolutely lovely site will definitely use again !
