Stayed over August bank holiday but didn't feel to busy as the toilets were always clean and tidy without the need to queue.

The showers either cost 20p for 4 mins or 50p for 10 mins and lovely and warm.

On arrival there was a man who took you to your pitch which was just big enough for caravan awning and car wide ways but as we only have a 2 birth we could put the car in front of the van.

The on site shop only had a few things but as all I needed was milk it was fine,

I would return to this site

We stayed for 7 days in July and were made very welcome. A small park but with first class facilities. The one down side was that although we stayed from the 5th to 12th July, the Bar/Food was only available on a Friday and Saturday from 7 to 1030 with last meal at 8. 30pm.

The toilet/shower block was superb, plenty of room with shower curtain and seat. Piped music which ranged from Classic FM to Country and Western!

No bus stop near but can recommend the local Park and Ride for Oxford.

My wife particularly enjoyed the trip to Bicester retail park. If you go take out a second mortgage first! There are dedicated coaches from Victoria bus station in London to the retail park. There is everything from Jimmy Choo to Gieves & Hawkes (Prince Charles' Tailor) to Prada.

We intend to return to the area and will certainly use this park again.

This was our second visit to Diamond Farm, the first one in June was rained off. We found the site excellent, a laid back and friendly staff quickly showed us to our EH in the enormous and very flat field. The toilets were very clean and serviced at least once a day, I had a 50p shower and found that it lasted so long that I gave up and walked out, it was still running after I had dressed and left, oh and it was hot hot hot !

Although there were two school parties playing football all day, they were very quiet as soon as the sun went down and the evenings were peaceful. There are a lot of long stay vans on the site and all the people were very friendly and willing to help, which was very nice.

Brean itself is caravan city, there's thousands of them, but it hasn't got too commercial, there are all the shops you can need with a few arcades thrown in to keep the young ones happy, and the beach is just enormous, my dogs loved it, they can run all day without getting in anybody's way, but beware if the tide is out because they can get very muddy !

I found that the best way to approach the site was to go into to Burnham-on-Sea and up the coast road. It's a few miles farther but if you have a larger van it misses out the narrow lanes and hump back bridges you will meet.

Altogether a great site, plenty of water taps and a central rubbish and effluent site near the shower block.

Will I go again, certainly.

We have just returned from 3 nights at Diamond Farm. Disappointing is how I'd sum it up. We arrived to a particularly indifferent reception from the Warden (a smile costs nothing!) The site is HUGE (by our standards at least) and seems very biased towards seasonal pitch caravaners. The wash block needed a damn good clean but at least the water was lovely and hot all the time. 20p for 4 mins of shower is fine as long as the water is hot, so no problems here!

The tent field is behind the caravan area and it a lovely field, open on 2 sites with great views. When we arrived the field was very empty and there was no jostling for position at all. We took a bicycle ride to Brean beach, how the park website can say it's a about ¾ mile along a country lane astounds me, yes its is about ¾ mile but it was a busy road.

Brean beach is horrid with cars allowed to drive on the beach spoiling the views for everyone! Brean itself is an awful place too. On the second day at diamond farm unfortunately the chavs arrived here too. Swearing, drinking, shouting and riding motorbikes at speed up and down the camping field were the order of there day. Quite why these people feel it's OK to spoil everybody else's holiday is beyond me.

Day two took us to Weston Super Mare, which is a typical seaside town.

The little sectioned off area for children to play in the sea was lovely however and 'Winston's' fish & chips are worth seeking out.

This was our first trip with the caravan and we were not disappointed. Owners very helpful and accommodating by putting us next to the dog walk.

The long stay caravanners were very friendly and I was envious of them. The site was lovely and flat and although we had had quite a lot of rain we were still able to erect our awning with no problem. Showers and toilets immaculate, showers especially were hot and plentiful although it cost 50p.

Shop was a bit basic but sold the essentials, cafe when open did good and plentiful breakfasts. Due to the rain we did not go far so cannot comment about the beach or the town.

All in all we had a lovely laid back 4 days and wished it could have been more. We are looking to spend xmas somewhere this year and if this site was open all year round then it would be up for serious consideration.

First time visit to Diamond Touring Farm in Brean, Somerset and our last as there is a very deep and wide, unfenced, water filled ditch edged with tall grass only, thus hiding the edges of it, bordering two sides of the touring caravan and camping field.

We were a family party of 15 which included five young children (aged 23 months to eight years of age) and even though they knew children were part of this booking we were still given pitches at the side of the ditch.

We were told it was mentioned on their web site. Believe me I've searched since coming home and cannot find any mention of it (unless someone can point it out to me).

We actually created our own fence by erecting several windshields behind our caravan and four tents, having to go out and buy two extra ones to cover the whole area behind them.

Fortunately the children were brilliant and once the danger was explained to them stayed away from the windshields; needless to say we adults were on the alert all of the time we were there.

Also, there was the river to look out for which was tidal and very deep and was not fenced off on the site in the area which runs along side the large area of permanently placed touring caravans some of which were in various stages of disrepair).

The site's web page makes its facilities appear first class. If I was to give the site and its facilities a score between one to 10 (with one being low and 10 being high) it would be four but then you'd probably need to go there yourself to appreciate where 'I'm coming from'.

Mind you one area that could definitely be improved on by the people using the whole of the site, would be the bin areas. If people placed all of their rubbish in the correct bins and ensured that all cans and plastic bottles etc were flattened, then there wouldn't be the need to put rubbish on the floor thus making the bin areas very unsavoury, as there would be more room in them.

Other than that the weather was very hot but windy and Brean, etc, is just like any other large static and touring caravan/tent area with people on holiday to have a good time.

You can, after paying £3 to park all day, take your car on to the beach but beware when the tide is way out (it is after all on an estuary) as there are mud flats which will catch the unwary out and you will sink into it (not a nice thought).

Keep children away from it and dogs on a lead at all times, especially if walking towards the water. There isn't a lifeguard on duty but there is a beach warden who drives out now and again with a loud hailer telling people to come back up the beach away from the water.

If going to Brean, try the Sunday carvery at the Beachcomber Restaurant, as its good value for money.

Stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and helpful, generous pitch size, lovely clean toilets/showers.

Shop stocks the basics, and you can get hot food in the cafe, or to takeaway. Short walk in to Brean will take you to more shops and the beach, which is dog friendly.

Bus stop right outside main gate, but we walked everywhere as we had our dog with us. Even walked to Burnham on sea, on the beach, about 4 miles.

In the other direction is Brean Down, approx 2 miles, and we highly recommend visiting there.

If the gates on the sluice weren't locked it would be ideal, because you could cross the river then and also walk to Weston super mare.

Stayed for 3 nights good location as it's away from the main area of Brean, bus stop out the front gates (did not use it ourselves). Site owners are very friendly and very helpful.

Pitches very flat and lot of clay in soil, comfy but does not drain very well.

Be aware: at the bottom and right hand side of the camping field is a very deep drainage ditch which is not obvious and is not fenced off, children could easily fall in and get into difficulty.

Grass is well kept and mowed on a regular basis. Field very clean, good play area for the kids near reception in next field to the tent field.

We had plenty of room on the pitch for a Montana 6 with front extension and windbreak next door can be quite close though.

Toilets are cleaned once daily if not twice, still get the odd person who does not seem to be able to flush them though.

Showers are 20p for 4 minutes or 50p for 10 minutes, coin slots shower starts after a minute or so of coin being put in. Good size cubicles with attached change area with each shower.

7 showers in total and plenty of sinks (in mens as I did not use the ladies myself)

Try not to camp near the toilets as the smell from the area is quite strong as the rubbish point is also there.

Brean itself is quite rough but ok for supplies, site is a good base to travel to Cheddar and Wookey Hole, we took the kids to Wookey Hole and had a fantastic day out with plenty to do and see included in the price.

All in all a very good basic site and would recommend the only let down is it's in Brean.

We spent 10 really good days here, the showers were clean, and only after they had cut the grass did it get dirty, but not for to long then it was clean again. The shop was ok, as for the cafe, we never used it so cant say.

We stayed over a bank holiday so it was pretty full but at night still quiet.

Peek times the showers had queue's.

The pitch we had, had electric and was a good size in a very large field, with water tap near bye

So I would say great place to stay with your tent and would stay again.

We stayed on this campsite for a week. We were shown to our pitch quickly. The pitches were very generous.

This was the first time we had been Camping and We was a bit anxious that we would go over the allocated limits at 7. 5m x 8m but we had nothing to worry about. The grass was flat and beautifully kept and and the site was not at all over crowded.

Toilets and showers were clean and tidy, with very friendly cleaners.

We did use the cafe, We found it extremely good value and very generous. We were able to buy the basics at the shop and had a few meals there and staff really friendly and helpful.

At nights we was surprised how quickly it became quiet, so there was no problem with any noise late at night. Overall it was a lovely site and we wish we could have stayed here longer! Lovely to drive onto the beach and the kids enjoyed the Leisure Park, the downs Nature Park.

Lots to do and we would definitely come again. Thank you Diamond Park for a lovely Stay!
