Lovely place all friendly and helpful on arriving, pitched tent (was very windy so pitched entrance of tent away from the sea) near to park as I took the grandchildren, park was lively but children spent hours there, toilet block very clean showers 2op. Very good value but can be busy, good washing up area. Good day out up the downs , you need to be fairly fit to climb the steps to get up there. Road out side can be scary as there is no pavement and if walking you need to use it to get anywhere, bus service stops outside although we didn't use it. Icecream van calls daily and the icecream is huge for the money children loved it when they heard him coming, good site will go back again.

A good site with lots going on!(small fete on the Sunday, a play park for children and a cafe/takeaway if you can't be bothered cooking. Toilets very clean for the size of the site and lots of toilets and showers. Having two dogs, we stayed on the 'dog field' which was great as it was much quieter. The dogs loved running on the special 'dog field' through the long grass. The children looked forward to the ice cream van coming round every night! Close to Brean for activities and entertainment for the children although the beach warned of sinking/muddy sand. Would definitely visit again.

Just returned from a few days at Diamond Farm
Toilet block OK, seemed adequate amount of facilities although we used the van shower, but note, there is NO soaps provided. Plenty of water points and rubbish disposal points around, grey water however has to be taken to the toilet block and disposed of in the chemical toilet disposal point.
Although a site for tourers only the vast majority of pitches are taken up by seasonal vans, many look as though they haven't been moved for years!
Nice flat grassed pitches (some were a bit tight for a van, awning and a car however) majority with EHU. Reasonably priced at £13.50 per night.
Large basic childrens grassed play area with the usual swings and slides.
Didn't use any of the pubs etc. In Brean but found some nice eateries in Burnham. The walk round Brean Down should not be missed, spectacular views, carpets of bluebells and cow slips when we visited.
Website indicates site shop supplies newspapers, this is NOT the case now.

First timers and this was a great site for us. Flat field, clean newish toilets and showers. Good camping facilities - chemical toilet, waste etc, washing up area. Lots of EHU. What we really liked was the laid back approach - No 'don't do this and don't do that'. Treated like adults and most people on site respected this. Reasonable fees - we paid £13.50 per night with EHU and had a water point right next door.
Not much entertainment - but that's a bonus for us - so quite quiet.
Steered clear of Brean amusement arcades etc as this not our scene - but berrow beach and Brean Down are quite unspoilt. Didn't use any local pubs etc. Cafe on site looked nice but didn't use it on this occasion.
Will definitely return

In case you haven't time to read this review, the bottom line is that we do NOT recommend a visit to this site.
Diamond Farm was a lot larger than we expected. It is a level site with a large number of occupied seasonal pitches in addition to pitches available for tents and caravans. We had intended staying 4 nights but decided within minutes of arrival that we'd just stay the one night and move on the next day.
The facilities are clean and good - showers are available at additional cost - and there was plenty of hot water. The playground was popular but rather small given the large number of families on site. There is a cafe but we didn't investigate what was on offer. In the field where we stayed there was a Security Caravan and we were pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise during the night. Our friendly neighbour with whom we had a pleasant chat played 50's music from 8.30am until we left at about 10.30am!
The surrounding area is not typical of rural Somerset. It is a seaside resort with a Pontins down the road, Brean Leisure Park (essentially a funfair), plenty of other campsites and 'slot machine' type attractions.
In all, it just wasn't our sort of place and were disappointed as the impression we got from the website didn't reflect the reality.

Diamond Farm was the first campsite my husband & I experienced together. For our first camping experience, it was perfect! On arrival we were told to pitch anywhere on the allocated field. To be honest it was a little confusing as to where we should pitch, but eventually we picked a great spot. The ground was perfect & it was very easy to pitch. Coming back in the evening, we found a large group of lads had pitched right next to us and were extremely noisy all through the night. By the early morning the security on site had enough and confronted them & dealt with the lads appropriately. (Unfortunately they weren't kicked off the site like I hoped!)
The facilities were very clean, and despite being a busy weekend, I waited only about 5 minutes for a shower (20p for 5 mins). There were washing up facilities, and a cafe on site which was always full, so we weren't lucky enough to eat there. All in all a great experience, and we will return this year!

June 2005 Stay here during the hot week in June. Nice site, have the following comments:
Toilets/showers were really nice - very clean, spacious and light. As it says on all reviews, showers are 20p for 5mins. But cubicle 3 in the mens didn't need 20p and stayed on as long as you wanted it! They can get VERY hot - and that's not good when sunburnt. Comes out at severe angle (which means you're not hugging the wall like other sites). Just put clothes in carrier back and towel over door and you'll be fine.
Now for my gripe: On the evening of travel (Friday)we knew we wouldn't arrive til 9ish so called ahead to see where we should pitch. No answer - left message to call back. Got there at 9. 15 and called mobile number on door. No answer, left message. So we had no choice but to pitch wherever. Found a nice spot in big field next to EHU - loads of space around. Unloaded trailer and set whole lot up. Next morning went to pay and because we were staying the whole week we were told to move by Monday. Didn't know that the big field is a weekend only field (due to license limitations!)! Was sooooo annoyed at this. Spent the hottest day of year so far (Sunday 19th) taking whole lot down, moving it to other side of site, and then setting whole lot back up again! Not a relaxing weekend!
All the best pitches (around outside) are taken by year-long pitched tourers.
This meant we were in middle - exposed to sea breezes (sometimes strong) - even on this most fabulous of weeks!
That all said, we did eventually have a lovely quiet relaxing week.
It's a nice small site (in comparison) and not commercialised (which is what we like).

We stayed here for our very first ever camping trip, and were not disappointed at all. The play area for the children was great. The toilets, showers(showers nice and warm, 20p for 5 mins, but not very powerful for those who like me like a power shower), and washing up areas were well kept, and there were plenty of bins and water taps around.
My husband found that the mens urinals smelt constantly as if never cleaned, even our 3 year old son commented on the smell! , and the man in the shop was quite off & abrupt when we tried to enter the shop 5 minutes before the shop opened, despite the door being open!
The site is fairly windy, but we managed to pitch and take down our tent without too many problems, which for a first attempt was not bad, so those experienced I doubt would have a problem.
Overall though we did have a good stay and would be happy to return again

Went on bank holiday weekend very busy. Shown to pitch very friendly staff, had caravan pushed onto pitch by parks land rover as car got stuck. Beware of the cow pats in dog walking field but for £16 per night for 2 adult, 2 kids, 2 dogs, awning & hook up in peak season you cant moan

August 2005 Have just returned from a long weekend at Diamond Farm. The site itself is large, the toilet blocks could be cleaned more often as the site holds so many people they tended to get quite dirty at times. On arriving we were met by a rather grumpy man, who told us 4 times in a space of 5 minutes no noise after 11.30pm – he was not the most friendliest of people. However the site has a small cafe which serves literally any food you want and at very good prices - at the back of the cafe is a small shop area, again with a good variety and prices. Beware that this site is approx 30 mins walk out of Brean centre, but the Beachcomer pub which is excellent for famillies is 15 min walk, the beach can be accessed via the post office / shop at the bottom of the lane - approx 15 min walk. Take sun tan lotion! the sun may not appear too hot, but its deceiving due to the wind- cold at night, wind picks up about 4pm- however nice site and good prices.
