What a great site. Relaxed family atmosphere. Plenty for the children to do if you want to stay on site. Plenty of places to visit. They do have wifi near the entertainment site but lack of wifi further away, what bliss, we can really be a family with out the constant ping ping of the what's app or snapchat. You can see the owners try really hard to make it family friendly.
Basic clean showers and amenities. Good clean fun with the evening entertainment. Will I go again yes yes yes. Two swimming pools so you can relax in the indoor pool and watch your children playing outside in the slides etc. The horse riding is quite close. And there are areas nearby to go fly your kite. Once on site you can keep the family busy with riding, canoeing, rowing, swimming, evening fun without leaving the site.

Not one I would recommend.
Toilet block dated stayed for 5 nights don't think it was cleaned over our stay, wife sliped as tiles worn. Also some heat would be good, took ages to get hot water, cubical floods.
Site has got a click as those that store vans on site do what they like dog are allowed to fun free as are kids don't get me wrong have two dogs kept on leads and a six year old. Did speak with site office poor responce.
One last note booked hard standing to get a 3ftsq bit in the grass joke.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Mill Farm, Somerset. The place is not for everyone, I have previously been to haven and this was our first time here. The place is very similar to Haven, but on a lower scale. You are out in the sticks (6 miles) to nearest town Bridgwater. Hit and miss for internet connection, majority of time none.
Our tent is huge so booked a super pitch which was in a corner, which was great. All the pitches are flat. We had windbreakers just to section off as a lot of people booked smaller pitches but had too bigger tent on it then infringe of other people space. There is shop, chippy and clubhouse on site, also washerette indoor and outdoor swimming pools which my children loved, boating lake, pony riding (extra cost), trampolines and play parks in each camping areas. We walked around the site and my children played in each play park.
Very relaxing and generally had a great time, all staff and very friendly and helpful. There was at times people queuing for washing up but this is the same at any haven campsite. Toilets and showers very clean and cleaned every day.
The only downside as other reviews is people not being considerate to noise late at night also a camper next to us banging pots at 7. 15am outside everyone tents thinking it funny on a Sunday morning. (just thoughtless of others)
Met some lovely people, which we will keep in touch. We loved this place as we wanted a quiet chilled out and not too busy (like haven) time. But as said this is not everyone's cup of tea - this campsite reminded my of camping in the 70's/80's when I was a child, majority of people spoke to you and children playing together.
We will definitely return next.

We have just returned from spending a week at Mill Farm, other reviews capture things perfectly. The team are very friendly. The entertainment is exactly what you'd expect, very Haven - our two tribute acts Take @ That (imagine take that's adopted brothers. ) and Olly Muirs were a giggle, although the bar was packed throughout both evenings - £3. 60 for a pint of Carlsberg.
The site is perfectly situated to explore the local area - a fantastic time in Dunster, Wells, Glastonbury and Minehead.
The 25 minute walk to the local cottage inn is well worth the effort, dog friendly, great value, great food.
The downsides - the pitches are very open, although large you get the feeling that everyone is on top of each other - they would do better to separate the parks into smaller sections - we were lucky and were by the edge of a park - others not so.
There aren't enough washing up stations for the size of the fields - we were in Hazel, and the wifi spends more time not working as oppose to working.
It hasn't made our top ten, and we won't be back - not our sort of place.

A large site but separated into fields so it's doesn't seem to big.
Plenty for kids to do, we hardly saw our 2 when we were on site !
The shower blocks were usually pretty clean and the showers very spacious, but there were only 2 of them per field so you had to queue quite often. A couple of clothes hooks would have been useful, as would a mop and bucket to give the shower a quick clean when you're done.
The entertainment was, as someone else has described it, 'a little bit Haven'.
My personal gauge of how good a site is, would I go there again ? To be honest, no. My wife and kids absolutely loved it though.

Easy to find, 20 mins from junction 23 off the M5. Massive site, easy check in.
Plenty to do to keep children occupied. Games room with pool tables, table tennis, air hockey, swings, slides, trampolines(small cost). Free boating lake(great fun). Fantastic free outdoor& indoor pool. Designated dog walking areas. Shop on site with essentials & more. Nightly entertainment & karaoke in the social club. Took my staffie for a walk at 0700 on Tuesday morning & the local hunt on exercise cut through the park(amazing sight for a inner city boy). Really enjoyable value for money site. Easy parking for my large van. All in great site & recommend to anyone with children.

We stay here every May bank holiday with our VW friends and have 3 fields with over 100 vans. Have stayed in 2 of the fields and the site is spot on.
Toilet blocks always immaculate and well maintained. The staff, in particular the groundsmen/maintenance team are second to none. Nothing is too much for them. They always get invited along to our evening functions as we host several bands during the weekend. They guys are considered more like friends now.
Great facilities, two pools, indoor and out. Must say the outdoor one in May is pretty chilly but the indoor one is like a tropical paradise heat wise.
The chip shop is great value and I defy anyone to say they are hungry after eating there too. The bar and clubhouse is quite dated but there is always a smile and polite service. Normally during the holidays entertainment is provided too.
The shop, all be it franchised, is very expensive. It needn't be but I guess make hay when the sun shines.
One year a foul waste pipe was blocked and the guys worked all day to find the blockage, replace pipe and backfill. A few of them even missed a Christening for us which demonstrated their commitment to service. They always have a smile and are a real friendly bunch.
As for wifi, it's not an issue for us to be honest, but yes phone signal is very poor. Drive or walk toward the exit of the site and you'll soon pick up a signal for those that need it.
I wouldn't say it's right out in the sticks and with easy distance of Bridgwater. A morrisons is on hand as are a few other well known stores, sainsbury's etc.
We have also stayed during the summer months for 3 nights and again same level of service.
Will definitely be going back!

We camped here from the Saturday to the Monday. Cracking campsite. Clean toilets and showers. Lots of things to do on site as well. We didn't use all the facilities but had a good walk around for future reference. We used the chip shop on the Saturday night and we found it good value for money and very nice indeed. The club house was great on the evening with the kids being entertained by the crew and the two mascot bears. All staff we came across were very friendly and the swimming pool was lovely and warm and kept my nippers occupied whilst we were in there. The pitches are flat and have a play area in the middle so the kids can play in the view from your pitch.
we were a bit annoyed about some noisy campers that came out of the club house at 11. 30 and were obviously having a good time but not mindful of the other campers around. Luckily our kids slept through the noise that went on for around an hour. Maybe the site security needs to do a sweep of the campsite after chuck out time just to keep people in order. But we won't let that dampen our stay as they were obviously enjoying there last evening on their holiday. There wrong doing. Not the campsite. The next night we didn't here a peep. We will visit again for sure.

We visited here over the end May bank holiday. I would say that this site is not everyone’s cup of tea but it is what it is and we enjoyed our stay.
We arrived and were dealt with by very helpful staff and directed to our pitch, which was, disappointingly right next to one of the play parks. This irritated my teenage daughter as all the visiting kids were walking right across our pitch, tripping over the ropes on the way past. I alleviated this problem by putting up the windbreak, the teenager was still regularly annoyed though.
The field that we were put on was very, ermm how can I say this, “chavvy”. It was full of families travelling around on mobility scooters (without having any disabilities) in their dressing gowns (all day) and shouting at their kids. The other fields looked a better option!
The pool was good for the kids and there were lifeguards there watching the whole of our visit. The little boating lake kept the children entertained too, although the boats were aged and very few actually had 2 oars and could do with some updating. The evening entertainment was along the style of Haven and the like. The bar was quite expensive. The on site shop had most thing you would need and fairly reasonably priced.
There is no local pub or town within walking distance of the site.
All in all I would go back to this site, I think, for the children who did enjoy it.

Don't normally do reviews but I had to with Mill Farm.
We found Mill farm to be one of the nicest sites we've been to for a long time,
The facilities are good and well managed especially the toilets,
Our children loved the boating lake and the play area around it, not to mention the swimming pools and slides.
If you want a friendly site with nice facilities where the staff are willing to help you this is the site for you
Thanks for a great holiday see you again soon Mill farm
