Excellent campsite, stayed on hazel field. Shower/toilet block and playground on each field, clubhouse with children's entertainment every evening. Did not use the pools, riding or boat facilities but did have a walk round the site one afternoon and everything looked good.
Toilet and shower block was spotless. Only problems the people using them, toilet seats damaged one evening but had been repaired the next day.
Only complaint: The family rooms on each shower block need a seat and baby changing flip down station.

I have just returned from a 2 week stay at Mill Farm and had a lovely time. This isn't my first visit and since my visit at Easter the showers have greatly improved. The showers are like power showers and very revitalising especially after the scorching weather we have just had. The playgrounds have had new bark added to them giving the area a fresh look. During my visit there was a 'Take That' tribute band and the clubhouse was very busy but the bar staff managed extremely well and worked as fast as they could to serve everyone. The entertainment staff are talented, not only do they keep the kids amused they also take part in a cabaret, 'Night of the musicals' which shows their talents in singing, dancing and acting. The prices of the food from the chipshop are reasonable and you are allowed to take the food into the clubhouse. There are bits I didn't use such as the new fitness gym, horse riding boats and the pools. My first night I was disturbed by a small group of campers who were loud and swearing late at night (gone midnight) but this was sorted the following day after I spoke to a member of staff and had no other issues. The paddock was quiet at night and first thing in the morning.

Just returned from 12 days at Mill Farm.
Booked the site as looked children and dog friendly and was good value.
On site was very pleased with what we found, pitch good size (did book larger pitch and worth it).
Did get caught out by needing longer electric lead - about 3 metres too short - but only £5 rental, so no big problem.
Very nice site with very friendly staff and good facilities.
The dog walk and area are great as was the on site shop, chippy and club house. The man in Chippy and who served in shop could not do enough for you and he would even except a pint :)
In fact struggled to find anything wrong UNTIL the bank holiday weekend when a group of caravans brought mainly on site from storage by Mill Farm staff and the 'locals' turned up. (had localish accents as well)
No respect for others, children totally uncontrolled and had no respect for others and left to their own devices by parents to busy 'enjoying themselves' (hic::)and the last night (Monday) they stayed - nearly all the other holiday makers had to go to them to complain about loud arguments, shouting and swearing to such a high level should be an over 18 only site!
Also the state they left the toilets in was unbelievable, caught one trying to rip of toilet flush handle and another kicking the toilet door (these were both young boys)felt sorry for who had to clean/repair toilets after them) in Oakwood.
Shame these people are allowed to spoil it for others and there was no sign of site security to try to control them - even though it was early hours of morning.
Did notice security patrol following night after the complaints but they had all gone by then!
Apart from these two days everything else was brilliant and did not want to leave. Went of site to get away from them during most of the day.
Please bear in mind we did check site reviews and knew what to expect in regard to noisy and lots of kids and are normally very easy going and have our own two under 12 children and we to like a beer or wine but the 'weekenders' were above what anyone would find acceptable by any reasonable/respectable persons.
But as we said apart from this a great site and value for money, will go back if in area again, just probably not during bank holiday weekends :)
As a footnote there is also a fantastic pub/restaurant about a mile away called The Cottage Inn, which was also dog friendly and had good food with lovely staff should you wish to nip out to eat.

Booking this site was easy, the staff are very polite and helpful. They give you a lot of information over the phone during and after booking.
The camp site is easily accessible from the M5, if you follow the A39 towards Minehead it is sign posted (brown tourist signs) from three miles away.
The approach to the campsite is good, with wide gates. A well tarmacked road takes you down to a sign, where you are instructed to stop and walk to reception.
The site is very big and consists of four or five very large fields.
The toilet and shower facilities were plentiful. The fresh and waste water were plentiful and well sited.
Fire hoses in abundance. Very roomy elsan emptying points. All in all good facilities.
Just one suggestion. You need to provide mops with buckets and disinfectant so that campers can self clean the facilities after showering.
There were plenty of washing up points but NO PLUGS for the sinks.
As we arrived at about 8pm, the reception was closed, but we had been told (during booking) to go to the bar if reception was closed. After booking in we made our way to the pitch, which was a good size, although it is not like the Caravan and Camping Club, where you get 6m between units. But it was a good size.
After setting up we made use of the on site fish & chip shop. Very tasty and good value.
The toilets & Showers were a little dirty, grass every where, in the Hazel Paddock toilet seats were missing from the ladies toilets, (these were replaced by Saturday evening).
The boating lake was ok, but the boats were difficult to row as the oars are chained to the rollocks, I can understand why this has to be the case looking at the behaviour of some teenagers.
There is a club on site and it is a little noisy at closing time but soon settles down. Good roads around the site. The Grandchildren cycled around the site in safety, Thanks to considerate drivers. The kids play parks were plentiful, although sad to report again some bullying going on. There are two good size pools on sites, complete with a life guard. All staff on site were helpful. The site shop is big and extremely well stocked.
The on site club was ok, I went once, beer not so good, the coke from the trigger dispenser awful, spoilt the rum. Allowing people to eat their fish & chips in the club is a bad move, everything smells of fish & Chips and grease.
I will not be visiting this site again, but it is not the worst that I’ve been on.
Prices were very reasonable.

Visited with MIL and two boys aged 8 & 10.
Paid for XL pitch which was lovely.
Field almost empty. Site not at all full. Our review is based on this.
Facilities were outstanding (but owners - you need better quality toilet seats in Hazel). Washing up facilities might be a squeeze if full.
Showers were literally boiling hot. But when reported they quickly had a plumber out to rectify.
Bits of the site were a bit shabby (gym area), the boating lake was dirty and unappealing.
Site shop prices were reasonable. All staff super friendly and helpful. Late checkout £5 for 12pm, £12 for 5pm represented excellent value.
Kids loved the pools - we'll be back!

We visited the site on a spur of the moment trip away - the weather forecast was a bit dodgy and we needed somewhere with a bit of indoor things for the kids. Arrived at site - very lovely receptionist - The first pitch we were given was right next to the loos so we were allocated another pitch which was great. I can't remember the name of the field (there are many) - but it was over the bridge behind reception and the first field on the left. If you want a bit more peace this is I think the best field. Lovely well kept spacious pitch and fab price (large pitch inc electric - £49 for two nights in July). There are playgrounds on each field which is great as you can always see the kids, plus proper roads so kids can ride safely on their bikes.
Toilets - very clean and tidy. Swimming pools - absolutely great but can imagine it would be mega busy in there in the summer but we had lots of fun. Shop - good camp shop stocking a bit of everything really and reasonably priced for a campsite shop.
Chippie - again very reasonably priced (£2. 50 for kids meal box inc drink plus chips/sausage etc).
Club House - very plain inside with rows of long tables but fine for us. A plus - you can buy your food at the chipshop and eat in the clubhouse which is good. Prices same as most places - £3. 50 for pint of beer etc.
This is quite a 'retro' campsite in that it reminded me of camping as a kid. Not too 'trendy' particularly and I think it would lose its charm if it become too swish. Best of all for us, there was not a sign of the 'darling' brigade which is exactly what we wanted. Just decent normal people (and very helpful - one couple brought our washing into our tent for us when it rained and we had gone out for the day). Just one last mention - every single member of staff we came across was very helpful and smiley - a rarity these days! We will definitely be returning soon ! Oh and be sure to visit Dunster Castle - stunning grounds and castle.

Visited at the end of June for 3 nights (Thurs to Sun) with wife and 2 year old daughter after a recommendation from a work colleague who has used the site for many years since his kids were small. Wanted a site reasonably close to home, good price with plenty of facilities, this seemed to fit the bill perfectly especially as the price included a FREE late departure (4pm) which is almost unheard of !
Would be nice to be given a bit more information at check-in about the site. For example opening times of all the facilities and an entertainment program ( including classes ran by the gym ). Literally just get told how to pitch and directions.
The pitches were of a reasonable size with plenty of space between. Kept forgetting we were on a 10amp supply so kept tripping breaker with heater and kettle on at the same time which was a bit of a pain. One thing I did notice was not many of the electrical hook up points had waterproof covers protecting the breakers from the elements which in my opinion is only asking for trouble.
Toilet / shower facilities were kept reasonably clean although had quite a strong smell of urine in the mens. Showers were very hot which makes a nice change but maybe slightly too hot for showering your kids. Nice little touch was the music constantly playing in the background.
Two of the best swimming pools we have used on a campsite for a long time. The indoor pool was like a sauna, never been in a swimming pool so warm which made it perfect for the little one. Possibly a little on the small size if visiting in peak season. The outdoor pool was a lot colder but no where near as cold as expected. The flume was great fun, daughter literally made me go on it with her 100 times. Changing / shower room was small so again, can imagine, in peak season it being a bit of a nightmare. Found floor to be extremely slippery.
Daughter went for her first pony ride (£5 for 20 mins) and loved it ! Thought the staff would have kept more of an eye on us just in case we needed any assistance.
Ice cream van visited on a couple of the evening which was obviously very popular with the kids.
Used the on site chip shop / takeaway on one of the evenings. Found the food to be really nice and great value for money, only complaint would be how long it took to be served and get the food (40 mins). Could also do with being open for longer to stop the whole campsite turning up at the same time !
Went to the clubhouse on the Saturday evening, typical campsite entertainment with plenty of fun and games for the kids. Found the Cabaret act (Bianca) to be very good. Expect the normal clubhouse prices for drinks and snacks. Place could do with a major update, starting to look very dated. This is possibly on the cards as the toilet facilities at the club were very new and modern.
Wife used the gym and was very impressed with the standard of equipment, also not a bad price at £5 per session. Wife would have gone to the Zumba class but didn't know it was on until it was too late.
Didn't use the on site shop, games room, boating lake or trampolines so cannot comment.
Found most staff to be very friendly and helpful so overall would say Mill Farm lived up to our expectations and will be definitely be recommending and returning again soon.

I have been here 3 times and each time it has rained and I got to be honest it gets really wet I was glad I did not have a motorhome.
I could see that some improvements have been made compared to my last visit however they do need extra staff to cater for the number of people they had there.
For instance there was only one lifeguard who was standing in the doorway trying to watch the indoor and outdoor pool, and you had children jumping of the bridge into the boats and no adults to be seen.
But saying that the chip shop was great and the club house was ok,
We stayed in the meadow and found the toilet block a bit of a trek from our pitch the toilet block was clean considering the mud and the showers was warm.

Stayed ere for a two night break, this is a pleasent site that is set into several different fields each area had its own facilities, so you are never to far away, they were kept clean & tidy although the cleaning took place mid morning and lasted for more than an hour so it was out of action at peak times, most of the pitches are on grass which seem to be rotated on a regular basis which is good, we had a nice friendly welcome & everything was explained that we needed to know. We made use of the indoor pool which was good. There is a shop & clubhouse on site which we made use of although as we were slightly out of season times were limited. Our pitch was quite roomy but we did not have any one next to us, I would think it would get a bit tight during peak times. There is a stream which runs through the site which is nice, our Grandaughter loved the fact that each area had its own playpark so she was never out of sight. The showers were not that hot & it took ages to get warm water through, there are a few areas of the site that are starting to look a bit tired which is a bit worrying this early in the season, all in all not a bad sight but I think I would avoid returning in high season.
