This was around the 10th time we have visited this site as we us it to check our equipment at the start and end of the season.
Always found the staff helpful and friendly,
The shower and toilet block is the cleanest we have ever seen, mops provided to clean the shower after you finish and large showering areas.
There is a small shop that also sells some camping equipment, buy a few items and you can sometimes barter a discount.
The club house is small and can get very crowded, although there is an outside patio area with heaters.
The snack wagon is ok, don't have onions as they always seems too wet/greasy.
The small lake there(called The Puddle) has some great fish, large Carp, Golden Tench, Koi and a single Bream!
The site is handy for Spalding, Stamford and Peterborough. Probably because it isn't by the coast it is a very quiet site.
It has been going through some expansion over the last few years, but nothing that you will lose sleep over.
Back there in September. Enough said

We stayed here for two nights. Having booked a pitch before we left home, got there & wished we had not bothered.
Although the owners were friendly enough, we were given the wrong code for the gate, so could not get in.
The general appearance of the site was shabby. There are several holiday homes, which are well kept, but also a lot of what appear to be abandoned caravans on site. The touring pitch feels like an after thought on a field, at the far end of the site.
The burger bar & club house are only open at weekends, no good for people who stay on week nights.
There was a small ditch near the water tap, which appeared to be used as a dirty water dump. Not very nice.
The free showers are a positive, but it is a long trudge to the facilities from the touring area.
It is a five minute drive from the local super market.

Well what can I say about this park ? BEAUTIFUL that just about sums it up. The people that run it are the nicest you could wish to meet and Darren the proprietor is nothing but a smashing fella as are ALL the people that work here.
The add shown for this beautiful bit of land does not do it credit. If your looking for a bit of heaven then look know more this is the place to be.
Its very well looked after by a fella and once again what a smashing fella and just about as helpful as one human being can be. I myself and my lovely partner Deborah will NOT be leaving here in a hurry.

This is a real hidden gem of a site, and at £17 for a whole family, incl dog, awning, shelter, etc. Is a real bargain.
We stayed for 9 nights, and our daughter and her family for 11 nights. We had requested to be near the playground, and Belinda accommodated us perfectly.
There are currently 4 super huge flat pitches near the playground, with water points & EHU (16amp - no tripping!). I believe next year that this won't be used for pitches due to the new touring field opening (see below for details).
The position of the pitches we stayed on can only be described as 'quirky', being in the middle of a horseshoe road, between statics. But they were lovely!
There's a separate camping field at the top for tourers and tents, and there is a good mix of statics (holiday homes and residential) as well as tourers.
The entrance is on a coded gate. There is a small clubhouse on site which is open Wed-Sun, and has bingo, quiz nights and live acts on a Saturday. Drink prices are reasonable too. There's a handy covered heated deck area, overlooking the playground.
Phil's burger grill is excellent, with quality local produce at very reasonable prices. Great burgers, proper Lincolnshire sausages & the chips were lovely! Handy for the kids. He also does a cracking breakfast bun in the mornings if you don't fancy doing your own fry up!
The showerblocks are old, but very clean, and the power showers are fantastic. It makes a refreshing change to not have to press a button! You can see that a lot of investment has been done on the showerblock. There are only 2 ladies & 2 gents showers and no family room. Only once did I have to queue for a couple of mins though. There is only one pot washing sink, which is under cover, but a bit poky. Water was always hot.
All this will change for next year when the new 3 acre touring field is opened. The campsite will be licensed for 90 pitches, but the owners have decided to only have 51 super size pitches, complete with water points & EHU. A brand new showerblock is planned, complete with power showers and disabled & family wash rooms. A new pot washing facility with multiple sinks is also planned.
A laundry facility was being built and was due to complete at the end of the week we stayed.
For the kids, as well as the great safe play area, they are planning a recreation zone for the new touring field, including humps for bike riding and other sporty activities, which should go down well with older children.
Nanny Pam runs the small but fairly well stocked camp shop selling the essentials. You can freeze your freezer packs for free here as well.
I can't say enough about the friendliness of everyone on the site, including Ray, the warden, who is very very helpful. The residents and all staff were very welcoming.
There's a lovely Koy Carp pond, which is completely enclosed (safe for kids), with gorgeous shrubery/flowers and a pergola seating area. Nick was very informative about the fish, and the kids loved helping him feed the fish. There's also a surprisingly well stocked fishing 'puddle' with over a 1000 fish, which I believe is reasonably priced at £4 per day if you're into fishing.
A note on pitching: the pitches are generous and flat, but it's on clay. If the ground is dry, you'll be better with steel and/or rock pegs, as our plastic ones bent. In the rain, it can get a little muddy around the high traffic areas in and around tent entrances.
The site is very well maintained and has lovely shrubery/flowers.
Tesco and Co-op is 5 mins down the road, and the area is handy for visiting historic Market Deeping, Stamford, Spalding and Peterborough. I believe there's a great little pub called The Goat serving good reasonably priced food, but we didn't get a chance to visit.
Overall, the site is very relaxed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely return next year! Fully recommended.

Looking at the previous glowing reviews, we must have caught this site on a bad day. Looking for a seasonal pitch we went there on a reccy. The area did look lovely, pretty town and villages etc but the site itself appeared to be surrounded by flat dusty fields.
The statics area, koi pond and fishing pond all looked lovely and well kept, as did most of the site facilities when we checked them out. But the touring pitches - ugh! very very close together, looked more like a refugee camp!
The 'takeaway' was the smallest burger van I've ever seen. Also when we eventually got hold of somebody to ask about seasonal pitches, the lady concerned made it abundantly clear she wasn't about to go out of her way to help us and couldn't wait to get rid of us so she could go back to her lunch.
If I had to sum up this site in one word it would be 'poky'!

We've just spent 2 nights at The Deepings. We wanted somewhere in the region that had camping pitches as well as statics to hire for a family get together. Our needs were met brilliantly by the site. It was small, friendly and laid back.
There were 12 of us in our group and we had 2 tent pitches and one static. From booking the site to arriving and checking in, the service was great. Nothing was too much trouble.
Some of our group forgot their camping chairs and the very helpful site warden lent us his chairs for the weekend.
The facilities were clean and well maintained.
The children's play park was perfect for our collection of 6-10 year olds and cheesy chips from Phil in his snack van at 10pm were very welcome!
We didn't use the bar facilities but they looked very pleasant. One of our party bought their dog and she was well catered for with some reasonable 'off the lead' walks right by the site.
What a great little park - thanks for a great weekend.

Recently been to The Deepings taking advantage of their pensioners special. Excellent facilities and very friendly staff. The pitches are large and a mixture of grass and hard standing The relatively small pond has some very large fish so make sure your tackle is up to the job if intending to fish during your visit. The club house has very reasonably priced drinks and there is a small snack bar available most evenings. The shop contains most of the necessaries and there are supermarkets only a short distance away.

Just back from another 5 day pensioners special, check it out best value I have ever seen,
As usual very clean friendly site with good facilities, even though fairly full still quite quiet and peaceful.
The pond is only small but holds an excellent stock of various fish, from very small to very large, if you are going to fish make sure you take suitable tackle, I was only using very light breaking strain and it took me two and a half hours to land a large carp. Well worth the time spent though

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in our landrover 'roof tent ensemble'.
We had a most wonderful stay and were made to feel very welcome by Roy who even loaned us a map of the area to help us get about on our bikes. The facilities are very good a nice block of loo's and single cubicle showers with plenty of space.
The showers totalled 4/5 and I can imagine a few queues in the high season, but they were clean, free and most welcome after a long day in the saddle. The site itself is flat and made up of statics, motor homes, caravans and the odd tent.
Nice facilities for children with a good play area which had some use while we were there. There is a barrier for getting in and out and there did not seem to be an issue with security.
Being a couple of miles out of Market Deeping it is easy to head into town as there was limited on site food eateries. There is a clubhouse we never ventured inside but it looked harmless enough.
I am not a seasoned camper but this was a terrific little place to be based and is well maintained and spotless. I am looking forward to our return visit next year and hope for less wind as the site is a trifle exposed and the breezes rattle the canvas when you are 9 feet off the ground.

Just had 5 nights at the Deepings arriving on the bank holiday Monday, lovely site with barriered entry. Kids playground kept our 6 year old daughter happy with her new friends. I spent hours fishing in ' The Puddle ' its size belying the size of fish which were in there.
The small club was quaint and prices were reasonable, a small burger van served very decent food. The on site shop had the essentials and the shower block was well kept.
There is a Tesco and co op within 5 mins drive, Market Deeping is nice to have walk around with Spalding and Stamford within 25 mins drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend to others
