Mixed feelings on this site.
We went there with our two children and found the site as a whole to be very nice. A small play area for the kids, as well as vast expanse of open grass where my two played football and had water fights quite happily with other kids who were staying. We liked this part because the kids could be seen at all times whilst running about and being kids.
The clubhouse was good, with pool table, bingo, quizzes and large screen tv.
The owners keep koi and there is a beautiful koi pond with ornamental bridges and so on. There is also a small lake for fishing which I unfortunately didn't get around to testing. It did appear to be pretty small but looked well kept. Other than that, I can't comment on it.
There is a small shop, which at the time, were just setting up and getting stocked etc after taking it over. It had a pretty good range of items and the people that run it were kind enough to give me a large armful of books while they were having a clearout!
Finally, our one problem.
We are clean freaks and as such, we found the Elsan point at this camp to be truly horrific. It was basically a hole in the ground with a protrusion with a lid. The smell was awful and I left very rapidly whilst retching!

We stayed over Whitsun bank holiday weekend, on the very bottom touring fiend, and ended up with really bad weather, but site was very well drained. Lovely site, nice welcome, nice clean toilets and showers, only one washing up sink, but this never seemed a problem. Mainly a privately owned static site, with touring pitches around the edge and a small touring field at the end. Small basic shop on site and a small pub (which we never got the chance to use). We will definatley go back again.

We visited this site on the first May Bank Holiday. We were met immediately by the owner who was extremeley friendly and hospitable, as was everyone on site. We had a super pitch just as you enter the site. I was a little concerned as we were right next to the club house, but I had no need to worry as there was no noise disturbance at all. The showers and toilet block are cleaned regularly. Childrens play area was a bonus as it kept four of our's amused for ages.
Short drive to the local town of Market Deeping, with supermarkets and shops. The shop on site was a bonus for those little things you forget, and the shop keepers were very friendly.
Would definitely visit again and would recommend.

We visited this site over the May Bank Holiday. We found the site clean, well run, friendly owners although it was a little cramped. There is a large area with static caravans and the tourers/tents are around the side and to the back of the statics. We were pitched in the top field. We thought there might be a bit of noise as there is a club house on site but we had no problems. Lovely local pub called The Goat, good food and reasonable prices. We would definitely visit again.

We visited this site over easter 2008. The weather threw everything at us so we didn't get to see the flower beds under the snow! It's a lovely site in the middle of nowhere. Flat and somewhat exposed although a hedge has been planted. The EHU is newly installed in the touring field and held up well in the freezing cold. The site seems to have a lot of statics and permanent pitches. There is a small bar and children playground. The toilet block is heated and was always spotlessly clean despite the mud every where. Tescos is 5 minutes away by car. The site has a code operated barrier and was quiet at night. There is a small fishing pool on site where John did quite well before freezing. Not a lot to do either on site or in the surrounding area.

We stayed on this site for 2 nights, (friday and saturday), and we found the site very nice. There seemed to be many more permanent pitches than touring ones. We stayed in a big open field at the end, which opened out onto the fields beyond, although it was extremely windy, it was a nice location.
The showers and toilet blocks, although not sparkling were adequate and clean, with plenty of room to get dry in the showers, which in unusual!
We didnt try out the bar,as we were only there for 2 nights, and we stayed in the van and had a bbq.
It is quite remote, you need a car to get anywhere outside the site, but it is peaceful, and we had beautiful unspoilt views of the sunset and the stars at night.
Overall a pleasant stay, would stay here again if we returned to the area.

Booked this site as it was the only one in the area that I could find with a pitch! But it wasn't a disappointment! We didn't arrive until after 9pm and the owner arranged to let us on late. He showed us to our pitch and told us to sort out paying in the morning. We were placed on what looks like a new tent field, in an EHU pitch. The group was VERY hard (and had forgotten our mallet, luckily someone lent us one) and we struggled to get the pegs in. But once the tent was up we had a great weekend. The facilities were good, clean but not what I would describe as new. There were no hooks to hang your towel on in two of the showers, though if that is all we can find to complain about it can't be too bad. The play area was passed its best, but did have a bouncy caste - how cool! The site is secure, it needs a fob to get through the barrier. And its in the middle of nowhere! The site was quiet, even though its close to the A16, and we really enjoyed our stay. And for £12 a night (with EHU) it was a good price too!

Went for 3 days and wound up the only the family on the tent field for the last two days. The field itself is perfectly level. Although, it is right in the middle of farm land with no wind barriers at all! Batten down those hatches! The pitch was lovely and mowed very short but the ground was extremely hard! Extremely! The site is very neat and tidy, well, the Tent field anyway. The shower block is fantastic. Roomy and very clean. Only down side is the amount of spiders throughout. If you don't like spiders beware! I mean we all expect to see them when we are camping but this site has tons of them in the shower block, and they are big. They even have big ole dead ones lying around. I am not sure why they don't get rid when cleaning them. It was a major turn off for me and our son! Oh, and the showers are free with plenty of hot water! The bar was nice and round of 3 drinks only 5.50. Limited to two choices of cheap beer! The playground is dated and toys for youngsters old and dirty. Not impressed with those! The owner was friendly and helpful. Nicest I have met so far! The store on the site was never opened, not once while we were there. Luckily, there was a Tesco around the corner. The one vending machine only took exact change and one sink for washing dishes, expect a to stand in a line and wait. While we enjoyed our stay because we went sightseeing everyday, had it been raining or we wanted to stay on site, it wouldn't have been so grand. Not enough to do and store and bar only open to suit owners and not campers. While some aspects of the site was great the bad outweighed the good and we would not go back. OH, and like another reviewer below, we too had a hard time getting our 10 pound deposit back for the fob. We had to hunt the owner down to get it. No one in office in the morning.

We have just spent a long weekend at the site after reading previous reviews, and we were very happy with what we found. On arrival we were given a personal tour of the site then shown to our pitch by the site manager. Every time a new arrival was brought to the tent area the manager would stop and speak to most of the campers which made a pleasant change to most of the sites we have visited before. As for the sites amenities we found the toilets and showers spotless, the park was a little on the small side ( but it is for under 12's), there is a small very well stocked fishing pond ideal for pack down fishing rods ( you should bring bait with you as it was a struggle to find a local fishing tackle shop). They have a bar / club house which came in very useful in the evenings and very very reasonably priced. On the down side visitors with older children may find it a struggle to keep them entertained, but we didn't venture out of the site so are unable to comment on outside entertainment. Overall a nice little camp site that we are sure to use again.

We basically booked this site because it was the only one that had space over the Bank Holiday break but we weren't disappointed! When we arrived we were given the pitch next to the road but once the warden saw we had small children, he moved us to a quieter part of the site without us having to ask. The pitch itself was large and flat, plenty of water points and the road is well lit.
The toilet facilities were clean and the showers reasonable. I was disappointed that there was only one dishwashing basin though.
The play area was more suited to our eldest daughter (4) but there were some toys for our two-year-old to play with, although she seemed more interested in the monkey bars! We didn't feel particularly welcome in the bar area at night with the children on the first night, but on the Saturday night there was karaoke and I didn't feel quite so uncomefortable. The weather was awful on our last day and there was little to do on site in these circumstances.
The office/reception bit was a little confusing as to when either would be open and although you can get a fob to get in and out of the park, we had to return to the site the day after we left to get our £10 deposit back, which wasn't terrible as we live 30 miles away but was a journey we could have done without.
Would definitely return in the future if I could guarantee good weather!
