We stayed with a tent, two kids and two dogs for 3 nights.
The owners/staff are fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The campsite was lovely and clean and we had pleasant walks around the static caravans.
Lovely little fishing lake, something to catch for everyone! a big thank you to resident Vic for teaching me to fish!
Tesco's etc all to hand and we were told of a lovely little riverside walk with paddling for the kids. Lovely big park right next to tescos.
Clubhouse not to big or busy and had a lovely drink outside in the evening. Burger van occasionally if you are fed up with bbq's! Park for kids nicely maintained. Showers and toilets clean and showers hot.
Will be visiting again very soon. Excellent value for money.

We stayed here prior to moving onto Spadling where we were meeting friends for the Spalding Flower Festival. We stayed Monday to Friday at £5 per night (pensioners price) and sited the van 3 vans up from the toilets. This suited us well as I am disabled and my husband has had a heart by-pass so everything was within reach for us. Yes it was a small pitch but it was where we wanted to be.
The toilets were very clean and fresh and the showers had loads of hot water. One mark against this site was that there was no shower for disabled although I did cope and the one toilet for disabled use would be useless if you wanted a carer with you - it was not big enough. Staff member told me that they were going to update these facilities soon. I don't know what another reviewer meant when they said the toilet block was a long way from the field because if I could walk normally then it would have been no problem for me.
The site was clean and tidy. We didn't use the shop as it was never open but my husband went to the 'club' to watch a video one night and on another they were playing bingo.
The residents were friendly and when we asked staff if we could stay on site until 4.00pm as we couldn't get onto our other site until 4.30pm, they said it would be no problem.
All in all a good site where we would stay again.
If you turn right outside the site and turn left at the first roundabout you find a Tesco. Further down there is a Coop and even further there are fish and chips shops, Chinese and Indian Takeaways etc.

Stayed for 5 Nights (Sunday to Thursday) what an excellent deal for pensioner £5.00 night with electric (Sun- Thu).
Warden's and staff very friendly. Toilets and showers very clean and nice hot water (I appreciate that was perhaps due to the site not being too busy because start of season).
Chemical disposal unit enclosed and very good.
Visited clubhouse Thursday night, nice pint, nice place.
Tesco's just short drive away, very handy. Did not venture around and about just relaxed.
All in all had a very pleasant stay and have already booked again for this year.

This was our first family experience of camping and as such The Deepings Caravan Park was ideal. Every other site in the country appeared full but yet there were plenty of pitches here and at £15 per night with electric hook up, it was good value for money.
The toilet/shower block was clean and well maintained and the pitches were flat and spacious.
The children's play area was good and the fishing pond, although small (about 10 pegs at a push,) is ideal for youngsters to catch their first fish or more experienced anglers to target reasonable carp.
The shop has everything you'd need but only open for restricted hours but then Market Deeping is only a 5 minute drive. There is also the 'retreat' bar which catered for all needs.
We only ventured off site once during the weekend to go for an evening meal at The Goat which with it's large play area and good selection of real ales (there was also a beer festival going on but there was plenty of choice before that,) was ideal for our family.
We'd definitely go back

We visited this site as it is only 2 miles from family and we wanted to visit them while in Market Deeping.
The location of the site is nice. Out of the way of main town or busy roads. The main part of the site is statics / permanent caravans and is of average appeal. A lot of 'permanent residents' and a few scruffy looking areas but the touring field, at the back, was lovely.
Nice big field. Surrounded on 3 sides by open cornfields which were actually harvested on our first day there. The boys LOVED watching the combine!
Minor downside is that the 'regulars' seem to use the touring field as their dog walking ground and, especially at the back corner, where we pitched.
The site itself was ok. Decent play area but it was a long way from the touring field. This meant that it wasn't used much by us as we didn't want out boys (9 and 6) to play there unsupervised! Not once did I see another parent watching the hoards of children in there!
The toilets and showers were also a LONG hike from the touring site.
The toilets themselves were ok. Always clean and new-looking showers which were adequate.
I guess, for a caravanner who may have a toilet in their rig, the distance to the facilities is less important but it's a definite consideration for campers and it's reason number 2 why we wouldn't return here with our tent.
Nice site overall, not bad at £15 a night including electric, but better for caravanners than campers unless you don't mind the hike to the facilities or have your own with you.

We stayed at this site over the Easter Weekend, we have been many times before and will keep returning. It is by far one of the nicest places to stay, the toilets are kept lovely and the showers are very spacious. The play ground is fantastic. The shop on site is well stocked with the basics that you run out of. Tesco's is a hop skip and a jump down the road. All the staff and owners are some of the nicest most helpful people we have ever met, hats off to all at the Deeping.

Got a late cancellation for Easter Bank holiday for our first ever venture in touring. Never towed before, never set-up a caravan, so was pretty clueless with a few notes off the internet to help.
I needn't have worried as it wasn't too long before willing helpers came out of the woodwork. Was it that obvious that I was a beginner?
Very nice site in a flat, quiet location. Seemed to be mostly permanent tourers pitched there. Many were unoccupied. Perhaps they prefer not to be around during Bank Holidays. Because of this the site was actually quite quiet, which was nice.
Well maintained site. Nice play area for children - swings, climbing frames etc. On synthetic chippings for good safety. Big area to kick ball around on top field. Toilet / showers clean enough for me, bearing in mind it must be extremely difficult to keep them to an acceptable standard in damp conditions. Nice, hot showers.
Clubhouse there, but I didn't try it. Shop too, which was showing as being open on BH Monday. Checked a few times during the day, but no sign of anyone.
With being first timer I have nothing to compare the site with, but it seemed very nice to me. If it wasn't 2.5 hours away I would certainly go back, but will try to find something a bit closer next time.

We stayed on this site for 2 nights last weekend while visiting family who have just moved into the area.
The site is well cared for, touring field is level, showers & toilets clean, & we met some really nice people in the club including the owners.
The price at £12.00 a night with electric is very reasonable, we had a great weekend & will definitely be back.

We visited this site over the bank holiday weekend as we have family who live nearby and they recommended it. I think the site has some good and bad points so will give an overall view.
It is in a very lovely location as it is right in the countryside and you are surrounded by open, flat fields. It is a quiet site despite having a little club house at the entrance and the main A41 very near. We did not hear any of the traffic noise and were too far from the club for it to impact on us in anyway. The touring field is very flat and despite it being bank holiday not overcrowded at all. The pitches appear to be well spaced although it is hard to tell as they are not defined and people seemed to pitch where they wanted. It has no shelter from the wind as is very exposed but not a problem to us as we are in a caravan, campers may want to pitch away from the farm fields. Tescos is 3 minutes away, the Goat is lovely for food and Rutland waters, a 40 min drive was great for family cycling. The staff all seemed very friendly, although it has got the strangest little shop I have ever found on a camp site!
Now for the negative: It is full of caravans that appear to pitch/live there permanently. The playground was very uncared for and quite tatty to say the least. The showers were most unpleasant, old, and very grim (full of insects and cobwebs too and in need of total refurb to justify the £19/ night fee we paid) Luckily we have a shower so we were able to use that but campers would not be so fortunate. We had a nice weekend as our family and several bottles of wine ensured that, but it would not be a site that I would visit again. We had our 2 sons with us aged 14 and 11, there did not seem to be any other kids of their age on the site which I found a bit strange.

We (the wife, 5 kids and myself) have just came back from a week on The Deepings Caravan Park. Overall we had a very good stay and found the site well suited for what we needed.
The sites facilities (toilets and showers) are pretty basic but were always clean and heated. Showers aren't very powerful but are hot and free, however I am only 5ft 8' and managed in the showers, not sure about anyone over 6ft tall. The shop on site is stocked with all the basics, milk, bread etc. And they stock locally produced bacon, sausage and eggs which are all fantastic and cheaper than what you would pay for the same quality in a supermarket.
As previously mentioned by another member there is a tesco 5 minutes away by car which is open til 9pm weekdays and 4pm Sundays, there are also shops in Market deeping town but we never used them.
The onsite club is a welcome break and reasonably priced, it is not noisy and is respectfull of campers no late noise etc.
Although there is not much to do near to the site, we used it as a base to tour lincolnshire. We visited Skegness, Melton Mowbray, Oakham, Boston, lincoln and Peterborough. Our kids loved the pleasure beach and day out in Skegness, Another good place to visit is Ferry meadows in peterborough for a peaceful walk and parks for kids and a great place to picnic, there are cafes and bars but typically expensive!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Ray who does maintenance on site, who helped us move our tent because it wouldn't go up in the high winds.
The only downsides to the site are, there are only four showers for the whole site, it was quiet when we where there but would be inadeqaute if it had been full. The main tent field is at the moment very open and offers no protection from the wind, which with the area being very flat does get bad, there have been trees and hedges planted all around but these still have to grow to be helpful, there is a small playpark which was ideal for our younger kids but nothing to do for kids over the age of 10.
Overall great site, friendly and helpful staff, clean and free showers, handy shop and pub. Will visit again if in the area.
