Stayed here for eight nights and we were very fortunate with the weather almost every day. The site is in an idyllic spot overlooking the loch, with a fantastic dog walking area that must be more than half a mile long.
It's a partly sloping site so you may need levellers. The showers and loos are immaculate and there's a good laundry and washing up room. The motorhome service point is slightly tricky for longer units in that you are partially blocking the road round the site. The shop is pretty basic although they seem to have quite a lot of 'bits' rather than food. Staff are great, really helpful.
If you need to do a bigger food shop there's a Co-op on the outskirts of Portree and also, fairly close to the Co-op, somewhere selling fruit and veg (the sign said they had other groceries as well, but we didn't visit so can't confirm).
There is no longer a grocery shop in Edinbane. Occasional bus service going to Dunvegan and Portree but you need to watch some of them as they are school buses and you can't always get on. The bus stop (request only) is at the top of a fairly steep drive that's probably 1/4 mile long. The pub/restaurant is some distance from the site and some people we knew said it was pretty expensive - again we didn't visit so can't say for sure.
No children's playground (hooray!) and not really anywhere for ball games, so maybe not the place for a family holiday - having said that, it's good to get the little darlings out in to the fresh air isn't it?
We would definitely return to the site especially in May/June or possibly September/October. The midges were just starting to be a nuisance in the evenings so take some citronella candles and some Avon Skin-so-soft!

Scenic and absolutely beautiful surroundings but as we arrived on a last minute booking we were given the last available pitch. Shouldn't complain as it was down to our lack of planning but we were pitched in the thoroughfare to the shower block so all the foot traffic to and fro and the odd couple who didn't wish to walk and would drive to the toilets leaving their engines running as they did so.
There was also an air con extractor right here above our heads which spoilt the lovely peaceful evening we were hoping to enjoy.
Niggles maybe but after enjoying some fantastic sites on the hebrideas at much cheaper rates it was a reality check at the end of a lovely week.
Can't leave this post on a sour note so some positives, shower block good, friendly owners with a well stocked shop and great walking from here.

We stayed here for only one night, returning from the Outer Hebrides. We arived late afternoon and left early the next morning. A very clean, tidy, well managed site. The facilities are excellent, as you'd expect from a C&CC site. The site is next to the loch and the cursed midges were out at dusk.
The town of Portree is only 20 minutes drive away for shops and pubs. A perfect stop over but we could have easily stayed for longer.

The usual high Camping and Caravan Club standards. The wardens and their deputies were very helpful and friendly. Being Skye, the location was predictably fabulous. The grass was a bit boggy down at the bottom near the water's edge due to the very wet Spring and Summer. In hindsight, being tenters, we should have avoided that area although it does offer the best views.
We were told that the owners designed the shower block themselves and what a good job they have made of it. The underfloor heating is a great touch and helps to dry the floor off after they have been mopped. The washing up room, in particular, was the nicest I have experienced. All very well thought out and spotlessly clean, although we found the closing time of 10:30 to 12:00 quite long and strangely timed.
All-in-all a very pleasant place to stay and I am sure we will return one day.

Stayed in September. Good pitch, wardens helpful and friendly. Toilets and shower block excellent.
All round good site. Bus stoo near site. Easy to get to Dunvegan etc. Only downside of the site were the midges. Dog walk along shore was good. Very pleasant 2 day stay.

Beautiful Location, fantastic scenery and views. Well worth a walk along the water. Very peaceful both during the day and at night.
Pitches great and very spacious.
Facilities were immaculate and plenty of.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. What a lovely touch to be shown to your pitch and asked if your water needed topped up.
Will definitely be returning.

This is a nice typical Camping & Caravan Club site with good clean facilities, the site is well laid out with quite a few hardstandings although the grass pitches were extremely boggy, nice views over the Loch for those lucky enough to get a pitch towards the bottom of the site, I saw a couple of otters in the loch 1st thing one morning ! there is no TV or mobile phone signal in the area but you can subscribe to a local Wifi (Highland Wifi) for a small cost. The wardens were very helpful too.

Stayed here for 4 nights in a recent trip to Skye. Arrived on a wild wet and windy afternoon. Whilst my husband checked in David filled our fresh water up in the pouring rain and took us to our pitch, fabulous location right on the waters edge which we really appreciated when the sun finally came out! Fabulous showering and toilet facilities and a super laundry. Perfectly peaceful at night and would recommend if ever you are on Skye. David and Nicky are a credit to the site.

Excellent site at loch side. I do like the way you are personally shown to your space which must keep David very fit cycling to and fro. As one would expect with a CCC site, immaculate facilities.
My only quibble is the timed shower buttons which get really annoying when they go off when in the middle of a wash. There was also (male showers) a problem when the hot water would change temperature as other shower users press the buttons. For me, given the expensive price of a night, a false economy.

Location: Lovely location with stunning views of the tidal loch and surrounding areas
Pitches: Spacious and all have views with separate area for tents.
Facilities: Excellent and very clean the only down side is that they are closed for cleaning between 10:30 and 12:00 which is the most popular time they would be needed (better to be closed PM for clearning etc. )
Comments: Owners very friendly and helpful and even though it was heavy rain/wind when we arrived still took us to our pitch and explained the site. (noticed them helping new arrivals errecting tents in the pouring rain)
Little shop (at reception) sells basics which is handy as nearest shops are 10-15 mins drive away.
All in all a great site, lovely location and very peaceful.
