Visited this site several times over the last few years for the fishing with my elderly father. Wardens always very accommodating re his mobility issues and ensure we have good access to the lake and the facilities.
The lake is so well stocked that it makes fishing here a real pleasure for my father especially. The facilities have been greatly improved over the years although we agree that the equipment in the games room needs replacing.
However we can't speak highly enough of the wardens for whom nothing is too much trouble. We look forward to many more return visits.

We have stayed at this site numerous times over the last few years and it has improved every year, the site is well laid out in a nice location with a lovely fishing lake and an abundance of other wildlife to watch out for.
The recently refurbished shower/toilet facilities are fantastic and kept very clean by John, Cath and the team of friendly hard working wardens.
There is a small children’s play area which does get a little noisy during the day but generally the kids are well behaved and the noise stops early enough to not be a nuisance.
There are a few take-away facilities just down the road in the village and a couple of visiting vendors selling food.

Great site, we were situated overlooking the kids park and it was perfect, could watch the kids play safely in the centre and they played happily into the evening. Lovely pitch with plenty of room and sun all day.
Other pitches overlooking the lake are also good, ideal for older kids and no kid families. There was another field with no lake or park which seemed a bit average in comparison.
Indoor games room a bit poor as most of the games either tired or broken.
Pizza van arrived one evening and was great, fresh crisp base pizzas in 20 mins.
Would definitely return.

My first ever experience of a camp site since I was in the Boys Brigade!
The Pro's - beautiful lake area, friendly wardens, lovely to walk round, everything seemed well spaced out but be in mind I am no seasoned expert.
The things to improve - smallish W/C & shower block got crowdwd quickly. We were near the kids play area so the few aeroplanes that went over were a welcome noise reduction!

First time glampers and it was thoroughly good fun.
Enjoyable site, good spaces between tents, friendly staff on site as well as friendly seasoned campers who seemed all too willing to share and improve our experience.
Close to LegoLAnd and Chessington. Would recommend

An attractive site with a lake and lots of trees. The wardens are friendly and helpful.
The toilet block is small and old-fashioned but clean, the wardens checking and cleaning it last thing at night as well as during the day.
It's a 20 minute walk along a pavement to the shops and the station, where there are regular trains to London and also to Hampton Court.
We like children, but one or two families seemed happy to let their children run around screaming and shouting at 10. 30 at night, which was a pain. Still, that's hardly the fault of the site.

Our first visit to this beautiful site left us very impressed. We were pitched close to the amenities which were spotlessly clean and to a good standard. Our pitch was a good size and we were very happy with it. The site is in a remote location, so a car is a must to get anywhere and taxis are not cheap! As with anywhere, some visitors are selfish and not very considerate of others - noise late at night or very early in the morning, cars sending up clouds of dust as they drive (too fast) around the site! We didn't notice this to any great degree on this visit however, it did happen a few times. Sunday afternoon / evening was beautiful as the site emptied out quite considerably! The only 'down' side for us was that the fields were very muddy (despite the hot weather) so the wheel of our waste water butt and our shoes were caked each time we went to empty or collect!
Overall we loved it and had a great time - will definitely be going back!

I think the other recent reviews have said it all about this site. A beautiful location, but for some reason it seems to attract a certain type of client who thinks he owns the place and lets his offspring run around until all hours.

What is there to say. This is a club site. It is clean, it is tidy, just as you would expect. The only comment I would make is that the ablution facilities are a little dated, but clean.
The site has good access to local theme parks. There is nothing within easy walking distance, but a short drive will take you to local shops. There is a local Chinese restaurant that will deliver to the site.
There is a small child's play area (make sure you are not pitched too close) and a play room for older children. Both appear to be well used by the children using the site, which is nice to see.
C&CC ready camp tents are available here. The stewards appeared to give these campers a preference to other customers, not sure why. We have used the ready camp at another site which were much better equipped than those located here.
Pitches are level but you will be close to your neighbour!
Pros
Good location for Theme parks
Cons
Needs some investment to update facilities
Would we return: Yes

This was quite a plain ordinary site and certainly not worth the premium price. Toilet blocks nice and clean. Lovely lake for those who like fishing. Nice playground. But, it's in the middle of nowhere so nothing much to do around although it is good for getting to places like Chessington. The bins are at reception which is quite a long walk so car needed to empty bin bags.
The biggest problem though was our neighbour who is on a seasonal pitch. We strongly advise that you ask not to be put on pitch 31. We parked our car on our pitch and when our neighbour returned he parked on our pitch and pulled right up to our car so we couldn't get out. There was no intention to discuss why he was parking there at all - he just did it. I challenged him politely and he whittled on about how long he had been a member and how he had been parking there since March. This was despite him having a lot of space on his pitch. As he has a seasonal pitch, the wardens didn't really want to do much about this and so we had to put up with his unsightly 4x4 on our grass at the front of our caravan for the whole stay.
