Nice site, but 30 second showers belong in in 1970’s.
Would have given full marks but shower facilities let the site down. Who can shower in 30 seconds? Nobody! So why have us re-pull a chain for more hot water ever few seconds, I want to save energy as much as anyone but it’s penny pinching. Allow at least 2 mins please.

The views from the site were lovely and it was a very relaxing atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the site lacked care and attention.
When we arrived we had no welcome, just followed a man on his bike as instructed and then he left without telling us where any facilities were.
Showers and toilets need more than one clean a day as the sanitary bins were overflowing and hot water lasts 30 seconds before you need to pull the chain again.
If they spent time and money updating the site it could be beautiful.

It was the worst camping experience in my life due to negligence of its owners.
I have stopped up there for one night only as coming back late on that day from far North and sought for place to rest. On arrival at this campsite I was not notified by owners about party that was going to take place that night on their premises, otherwise I would not have stopped with my family as were seeking for quiet night to have proper rest. It appeared later on that night that group called Rally Scotland, which was an organised group of over 50 people, was stopping up there for one night with intentions to party hard until early morning hours.
At 23:00 hours had phoned an owner to complain about noise coming from a previously set in main picnic area gazebo, which holded a stand serving alcohol, console for DJ and loudspeakers as well as rows of benches with tables. I was reassured over the phone that something would be done. Initially music was tuned down for about half hour but returned with full blast after that. Despite trying to contact Simon, who was one of the owners at that time, I could not get in touch with him anymore. Party continued until around 02:00 am making me unable to sleep.
I did not hear any apologies from owners in the morning and felt very disappointed with their act of neglect.
Other than that, toilets and showers remember probably cold war and its cleanliness standards were very poor. Did not use other facilities.

Really nice campsite with stunning views. Plenty of space and facilities were decent and clean. Very helpful friendly staff. The campsite is a little out of Inverness but there is public bus every hour which we used however with 2 adults and 2 kids we were only £2 more for a taxi back! There is a great little mobile kitchen serving burgers etc at night and breakfast rolls in the morning.

We picked a pleasant May bank holiday weekend for our stay at this pleasant site on the banks of the Beauly Firth.
The very best feature of this park is it’s location. The tent pitches (we do not use electric hook up) had the pick of the prime spots overlooking the Firth and it was lovely to sit overlooking the water and watching the lights on the bridge in the distance in one direction and the snow capped mountains in the other. Despite being so close to the city it felt very peaceful. There was a little road noise at night but probably only noticeable to us because we live in a very rural location.
The whole site had a very relaxed vibe. There are quite a lot of residential homes on site which made it feel almost like a wee village nestled on the side of the water. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly.
Facilities were basic but adequate. Pull showers - maybe a little attention to cleaning and some new shower curtains wouldn’t go amis - but plenty of hot water. Washing up facilities were also provided in a separate block.
Our kids loved the telescope mounted near the beach and the rope swing was a hit as well. There is also a large playing field with goal post so plenty of space for ball games, frisbee etc without annoying other campers. The play park is mainly an outdoor gym and swings. Great for our older kids and us! The beach is a small, mainly pebble beach. Fun for some rockpooling but not one I would want to paddle or swim from.
Being a short hop into the city was a novelty for us and for anyone camping on rainy days the close proximity of swimming pools, cinemas, trampoline parks etc would be a bonus! As well as all the shops, restaurants etc in Inverness, there is a wee shop at reception that seemed well stocked with the basics.
There is heaps to do locally. We had a drive around Loch Ness with a stop off in Fort Augustus for chips. This was incredibly busy even on an (admittedly warm and sunny) May bank holiday weekend so be aware that in peak season you need to be prepared to take your time!
As well as Loch Ness and Inverness, there is dolphin spotting up at Channory point and all the delights of the Highlands just a short drive away.
If you like a hands off, relaxed camping experience with the convenience of proximity to the city then this is a great pick!
If you value spotless facilities then you may be disappointed here. An upgrade to the shower block would gain this site a few more stars.
Lots of nice touches for the kids and a great location as a base for exploring the local area or up into the highlands.
