We stopped at this site for an overnight stay when travelling north.
Site is in a lovely location on the banks of the beauly firth. It is only 3 miles from Inverness.
Site itself is dated. It has several tacky looking static caravans around the perimeter of the park. There is a section for tourers and another part on the banks of the firth for tents and tourers (limited hook up points). The latter being closer to the toilet block.
Play area for kids consists of a row of swings and a sand pit. It does however have another grass area with a set of goals and plenty of space for ball games.
Pitches are not marked and you basically pitch where you like.
Toilet/shower block again dated and in need of modernisation. Toilets clean. Showers - 4 in ladies. All operated by pulling a chain which in turn activates a push button. Showers were not very clean the day I used them.
Site is in a great location with scenic views and has lots of potential. I would use again for an overnight stop but not for any longer.

We booked 2 nights at this site 28th & 29th July, we stayed on 28th July, spacing is incorrect between pitches, as another motorhome parked along side us, leaving us barely enough room to open the motorhome door.
We returned on 29th July after a day in Inverness, to find there was no sites available with hook up. We had to leave the site and look for somewhere else to stay.
We contacted the owner and he promised a refund, after sending emails etc. , we are getting nowhere with them. On the night that we stayed we were 'entertained' to loud music and noise to after 11.30pm.
On returning on the 29th, the site was choc-a-bloc, children were running amoke and again the units were on top of each other.
I would certainly not recommend this site to anyone.

Spent 2 nights here, cost for 2 adults, 2 dogs and elec was £19. 20 per night. Wi-fi was £3 for the length of your stay. Site is 3 miles from Inverness and there is a bus stop right outside the site which takes you into Inverness. Bus takes dogs. Site is on the banks of the Beauly Firth so has some lovely views. Reception was friendly, site shop very basic. A lovely site which we would definitely visit again. No children's play equipment but there was a separate play area. We managed to park beside the water so dogs could run straight into the water.

This is a beautiful site situated in amongst lots of mature trees. The views are breathtaking! The site is down a narrow tree lined road away from the road so no traffic noise. We camped with our large tent and had an electric hook-up. The man in reception was so nice and helpful. Even offered to lend us an extra length electric cable if ours didn't reach! We could pitch anywhere we liked so we chose right down on the waterfront. Pitch was very level and had no problem with tent pegs other than a few tree roots. Tents can pitch up alongside caravans i. E. No segregation between caravanners and campers. Ample pitches available. Ample hook-up points.
We used the sites wi-fi which was great from our tent. Wif-fi costs £3, good connection. We also managed to receive a sgnal fr Sky tv! There is a hot food catering van on the site which is about 50m from the campsite. Food is excellent! Fantastic bacon butties in the morning. The lady is very nice. The van opens for 1. 5 hours in the morning and for a few hours in the evening. The site shop is pretty basic but bearing in mind that there are several large supermarkets only a few minutes drive away, then we felt the site shop was more than adequate.
We had a night out in Inverness on the Saturday and it cost approx £10 for a taxi. Taxi service was brilliant, arrived bang on time with a 'one ringer' to let you know he was on his way - how quaint!
When we arrived the pitch we wanted had obviously had a caravan on it for some time which had only just left that day therefore the grass was pretty long. We spotted a handyman/grasscutter and asked if he would oblige us by cutting it - no sooner said than done! Now to the shower/toilet block - ALWAYS immaculate and clean.
Unfortunately there's a BUT and it's a big one. You have to keep pulling a chain every 1. 5 mins or so to keep the shower running. I found the chain very stiff to pull and it's not easy washing your hair with one hand! One of our camping neighbours had taken tie-wraps with him and tied one round the 'apparatus' to keep it constantly on until he had his shower, then snipped it off when he was finished - very handy tip, but we only found this out on the last day. The system to keep the shower on seems way outdated and unnecessary to me. Plenty of hot water though and always clean. Frustrating as the showers were it wouldn't stop me going back as it's a lovely site but this time I'd take tie-wraps for the shower. Lovely children's play area including a large, clean sandpit. The shop seems to keep erratic opening times.
All in all we had a brilliant weekend at this stunning site.

A site with different aspects and one that has a natural beauty next to the Firth mixing caravans and tents the old fashioned way - it works.
Seems to be various places to stay (no real pitch marking in some areas) so sense needs to take over and for some this seems to be missing. Anyone near us were woken by young gent who decided to run his tuned (loud) car at 07:40 in the morning. Thankfully they left with their extended family and wheel-spinning AWD pick-up.
Chatty lady in small chuck wagon was a nice touch for the tenters or anyone who did not need to bring all the cooking gear (or do the washing up). She was early for brekkie and still came back in the late afternoon for evening orders. It would help her if campers tried to limit their dishes to one type of food rather than pick one of each item on the menu, but she coped well around £5 a main meal seemed good value as it was cooked fresh rather than kept hot all the time.
Facilities are a little 'rustic'. Forget windows in the gents shower, just vents open all the time. It can be a little brisk for those who like things warmer. Plenty of force in the shower and they are big enough for anyone, and the air temperature probably helps with the queues!
You can cycle into Inverness although it's a main road with fast cars so children would be better travelling by car. A bike is a good way to get about there, plenty of bike stands to park up.
TV reception is fine but satellite signal is sporadic due to lots of trees getting in the way.
Much better site location than others we've stayed at around the Firth, if you time it right, you might get to pitch along the waterfront, no extra charge but only a couple of elec points could cope with these pitches, so favoured by tenters who bask in the glory of a great view just inches from the waterfront.
Good site for tent camping, we'll be back.

Stayed here for 1 night as a start to our holidays. Very friendly staff and lovely views over the Beauly Firth.
Decent playpark which was luckily right in front of our pitch which meant we could keep a close eye on the kids.
Some of the pitches overlook the Beauly Firth and are right on the edge of the shore, so if you have little ones that like to wander then you would be best to ask for a pitch further away.
The shop does not sell much but there are a few things to be had. Inverness is a few minutes drive away where there is everything you could need.
Huge Tesco's Extra at the business park on the Aberdeen road. Things to do in Inverness Inc, Dolphin watching at Channory Point, Dolphin Cruises, Loch Ness visitor centres, and Loch cruises, Aqua leisure and Ice Rink at Bucht Park.
Whin Park, miniture railway and boating Pond at Bucht park. Couple of soft play areas, loads of pubs, restaurants and fast food outlets and loads and loads of shopping for the lady's.
Black Isle wildlife park is good for the kids, You can hand feed the animals but watch those goats, they will steal the bags of food out your hands or try to eat your kids jacket :)

Visited Bunchrew with the Mrs for a weekend last September at the end of the season and enjoyed it thoroughly, so when we were looking for somewhere to take the kids for a week, we returned to Bunchrew.
We put up our large 5 man tent and a second smaller 4 man tent at a cost of £192 for the week (incl 2 cars).
As others have said, the location is lovely, right on the water within spectacular mountain surroundings.
All the usual facilities, shop, laundry etc but also an ice cream van visiting as well as a static hot food wagon for breakfasts and dinners.
The toilets and showers were clean and always well stocked with soap and toilet paper etc, although the hand driers need fixing.
My only issue with the showers, again as mentioned by many, is the requirement to pull a chain to operate the shower, meaning you have wash with one hand.
Despite the site being very, very busy, I only ever saw a queue of one or two people waiting a few minutes for a shower during the peak time.
Having said that, these were very minor issues I'm only mentioning to bring them to the attention of the owners.
There are no fixed pitches, so you basically pick your own spot, so obviously the earlier you arrive on site the better choice of available spots. Two of the nights saw the site so busy, some thoughtless folk had pitched tents on the football field, and right in the goal at that. This did not go down well with the kids as they could have pitched anywhere on the whole field.
This lovely site is very handy for Inverness centre and only 10 mins from the Vue cinema or the fantastic Inverness Swimming Pool and Leisure waters.
Two shopping tips, avoid the nearby Co Op and go the Morrisons in Inverness Centre. It's only another mile away and you'll avoid getting ripped off.
There is an absolutely fantastic butchers, Frasers, in Queensgate that does spectacular BBQ stuff as well as every kind of sausage incl some very exotic sausages. Ideal for campers.
We had a great time at Bunchrew again and will def be back.

Nice site, great location on the Beauly firth and only 3 miles from Inverness. Large site, good sized pitches. Good play area for kids. Clean toilets and helpful staff. Great base to travel round the highlands.
Would definitely go back. Take away van on site, we didn't use but seemed to do a great trade on bacon butties in the mornings. Launderette and shop although not brilliantly stocked but then you have a big Morrisons, Liddle, Aldi and co cop within a few miles.
Beach is not sandy but site lies right on the firth with great views of the bridge crossing the forth.
There is also plenty room for your dog to run around, I wasn't aware of any designated dog areas but there might have been some. My kids loved it and made some new friends.
The play area is well overlooked and has swings and things and there is a separate ball park area where my boys could easily have a decent game of football.

We stayed here on a Saturday night in June, we pitched right be the sea as there was plenty of space. Pitches were very flat.
The guy in reception was very helpful. We paid £14 for a small tent 1 adult, 1 child and 2 dogs.
The toilets were basic but clean, a small pitch for the kids to play in, there was a lovely lady in a small cabin selling hot food and drinks, I didn't eat there as we had that organised but it looked and smelled good. The shop looked full of stuff you might need, milk, bread, drinks and stuff for kids.
Great location just outside Inverness.
I would definitely return here in the future.

The site is beautifully placed over looking the Beauly Firth with great views of the mountains beyond. It's lovely and sheltered in the tent area near the water even when high winds are experienced around the area.
The toilets and showers were ok - the toilets appear to have been half modernised; new sinks in an old fashioned building. The showers operate on a chain that you have to keep pulling which is quite annoying.
We pitched our tent with a lovely view but returned on our second day to find a very large group of Dutch caravanners had moved in - paying no regard for where they pitched. It would have been nice to have been warned about this when we checked in, although at check in no one was around so we just went ahead and pitched where we fancied as instructed to on the board at the office.
There were so many caravans that they were squeezed in all over the place and bang went our lovely view.
Although the site was very full there were no issues in queuing for the toilets or showers. There is a shop on site but it was very hit and miss when it was open.
The site has a playground which consists of a few swings - not the greatest. We had a lovely time here but if it wasn't for the fantastic location I wouldn't have felt so happy.
