A stunning location but doesn't the owner know it. As a result she is not at all interested in the normal sort of things to make customers welcome, for example:
I) showers closed between 11am and 4pm and again after 8pm
Ii) need to pay for washing up water and this facility closed after 8pm
Iii) no loo paper or soap
Iv) owner insists you pitch within 2m of each other
Showers and toilets were, to be fair, clean and the location is stunning. If you can ignore a very grumpy owner and petty rules you will probably still enjoy.

To have paid well over £300 for 3 pitches which I was promised would be together (I was shown the 3 flat pitches in their own little paddock that we could have last August & on that basis we handed over our booking fees in full)
To get there & be told that we weren't together, she expected my parents to site their caravan on a pitch so sloping that they needed three chocks under each of the near side wheels & even then it wasn't level. This for a chap with bad knees was a no no.
The 2 tents were in a field 3 fields away from our parents and to be squeezed into a 50 feet by 10 feet space whilst leaving room for another 6 tents.
We were informed that there would be no hot water on in the showers & toilet block for another 36 hours. Because we were the only ones there & she wasn't turning the boiler on just for us! (didn't understand why we couldn't have the pitches that we'd paid for in that case! It's not as if anyone else was on them)
We were then told that if we didn't like it we could lump it & she refused to give us all of our money back. So we did lump it; to a camp site just down the road.

Love this site, the views are spectacular & the beach is right on your doorstep.
The site is quiet, even though it was busy, you aren't crammed in like cattle going to market.
The owner was very friendly, her rules are to be stuck to no questions asked. However the rules are more than reasonable & justified & worked for the benefit of all.
There are minus points however, if you are no good at reversing your caravan, do not even consider attempting to drive the 4 mile single track road with infrequent passing places to get to the site. Thankfully I can reverse well as have been towing for well over 20 years, but it was still hair raising having to go backwards with only a 2 inch clearance either side of the caravan. At one point it was walls either side not hedges where a mistake meant a hole in the side of a van rather than a scratch!
The lights were off in the toilets at 3am and there was no light switch. I tripped over the step on the way out.
The site is not posh by any means, rusting and abandoned farm machinery dotted about, a worrying amount of ragwort in flower about as well, especially as there were horses nearby.
Loo roll, hand driers & soap not provided & the limited shower times were more than bizarre. For £24 a night I don't expect to have to 'drip dry' in the loo & not be able to shower when I get back from the beach at 9pm.
All in all some strange rules, some which work, others just seem to scrimp on money being spent on the place. I would still consider this site next year .
The site location would be 10 / 10 if it weren't for the single track roads to get to the place

Spent a week here at the beginning of August. Great site for us - basic but friendly and in a terrific location on a farm at the end of dead end lane. 5 min walk to the most beautiful (and empty beach). Very narrow lane approaching the site but as long as you arrive after midday you should not meet a caravan coming the other way! Greeted by Mrs Price who is a great character and wanted to make sure we were happy with our pitch. We were in a small paddock with just one other tent and a fab view of the bay.
Yes the showers are very basic but hot and spacious - fine as long as you keep your flip flops on! Didn't really use the loos as we had our own in the caravan. You do need to take your own loo roll though which isn't necessarily a bad thing as it means the floors aren't strewn with it.
There is a small site shop selling basics but also a shop up in the village with lovely home made bread etc. There is also a village pub which is busy at all times (being the only one in the area). Very pleasant but not a great choice of food.
The Gower Peninsula is simply beautiful as long as you aren't looking for excitement and tons of stuff to do. The beaches are amazing and mostly empty. The surf is great. There are ponies roaming around much of the central peninsula much to my daughter's delight and it's a lovely area for walking. Swansea is only 12 miles from this site and worth a visit if you want to get away from the beach.
We took our bbq down to the beach one evening and cooked our sausages as the sun went down and our kids rock climbed and surfed down the huge sand dunes on their body boards!
All in all we had a great holiday here but this is definitely not a 'bells and whistles' site, which suits us. Our kids are 10, 12 and 15 and loved it (but they are used to holidays where you can get away from it all).

This used to be my favourite site every time there's good weather for a weekend we would pack up and go. Myself friends family and two dogs one of which is a staffy, until this weekend when Mrs price informed me she does not take staffys or Alsations any more. Must have visited with my staffy 20 times and never in all those times has Mrs price complained about my dog. I suppose it was a good thing we phoned first usually we just turn up, so staffy owners be warned you are not welcome here

Campsite wasn't easy to find once you reached the main village of Llanmadoc as no signposts, had to stop and ask for directions, we had rung before hand and told no need to book even though we wanted electric hook up. On arrival was told no electric available but they managed to find us a hook up. Campsite is on a slope so just be careful which way you pitch your tent. The owners don't seem to mind how you put your tent up as there are no designated pitches
Facilities were okay toilets and showers have seen better days and could do with modernising, small shop with basics ie bread and milk. Wouldn't attempt to walk to the pub down windy lanes for about a mile so drove but found it was fully booked on the saturday night a friendly local advised us of another pub a few miles away and the food there was lovely
Beach was a few minutes walk over sand dunes and fantastic hardly anyone else around in the middle of august.
This was our first camping experience and the kids enjoyed themselves I think next time a few more facilities on site would suit us and a more modern shower block

When we arrived we were greeted by Mrs Price, Very friendly but made sure we understood the rules of the park. The site is in a fantastic location for the beach which is within a 5 minute walk. There was not a playground / facilities for children, however who needs a park when you are right on the beach! The nearby pubs and shops are a definite car journey away so make sure you have everything you need before you settle for an adult drink. There is a well stocked shop for essentials and the clean showers and toilets were near to the pitch, although do not forget to take your own paper. A recommendation would be to have hot water for the washing up facilities, we only spent two nights here, but could see foresee this as an inconvenience if we had booked for longer. We will at some point make plans to come back here again.

The campsite we originally booked on was a mud bath and we contacted this site and they made room for us to stay. They were very friendly and even called me back with directions to the site.
We had a tent and our friends had a caravan - the long narrow lanes to the site are a bit tight, but we managed.
Rain had fell for the best part of a month in this part of Wales (to which we were unaware!). The entrance into the site was very muddy and we had to be pulled out by tractor on ENTERING the field! Very basic facilities - only one shower was opened on our last day and there were still people arriving when we were leaving. The shopkeeper was closing up for the season and making a loss selling things off cheap.
First campsite we've been to where you had to take your own loo paper - there was no soap or hand drying facilities within the toilets either.
Very basic and really not worth the £21 per night we were charged.
On a good note - had the weather been better - the beach would of been gorgeous to sit on all day - but unfortunately all we saw was rain, rain and more rain.!

The site is in a lovely location with excellent views and fantastic potential.
Unfortunately although the site fees are very expensive £21 per night for a tent.
The grass is sloping, uncut and boggy after rain (almost every car and unit required towing by a tractor off the site)
The showers and toilets are dirty and do not appear to ever be cleaned properly, with limited access and when the site is busy it is necessary to queue for toilets, washbasins and one of the 3 warm showers out of the available 5.
There is no hand drying facilities, no soap and no toilet paper provided. Washing up facilities are basic and for a full wash up in warm water it requires 2 x 50p.
During the bank holiday everyone was crammed in which made it almost impossible to access the toilets without queueing especially as the showers are only open for limited periods.
The area is lovely, visit Plantasia in Swansea an excellent day out, not expensive and very well run.

This was my fifth visit to this site since 2002, so something keeps drawing me back.
We stayed for a long-weekend and the cost was reasonable at £16 per night.
The facilities at the site are basic: a small shop, toilet block, showers and dishwashing facilities (free except 50p for hot water for cleaning dishes). The showers were clean, reliably hot and free. However, they are only open until 10am, and then 4pm until 8pm. This may sound restrictive, but I do understand that day visitors from the adjoining beach have been known to gatecrash the showers to get a free clean before they head home!
There are no facilities for kids as such. There is, though, an amazing unspoilt beach with high dunes just a stones throw from the site. The two camping fields are also pretty wide and even at the busiest times there is plenty of room for kids to run around in safety.
The two fields are also on slight slopes leading down to the beach. This does mean that your tent may look a bit wonky if you don't find a flat bit of ground! You might also find yourself rolling into your partner if you're sharing a room - or find your blood rushing to your head or feet.
You will find that you have no choice other than to drive through 4-miles of narrow county lanes with only passing places to get to the site.
The surrounding area is pretty sparse, but that's no bad thing and it is truly beautiful. There is a small shop and gastro pub in the neighbouring village (Llanmadoc) just over a mile away. Delicious local lamb and BBQ packs can be bought at Weobley castle's farm shop (about 3-miles away) and there is good petrol station shop/supermarket at Llanrhidian about 4 miles away. If you do fancy a bit of civilisation you can drive into Swansea for some shopping in about half-an-hour.
The Price family who run this site are very friendly, but will not suffer fools or troublemakers gladly! It should be noted that only families and couples are allowed here.
