Warm friendly welcome. Only a few staying so given choice of pitch. Site as described. Lovely clean facilities, little chilly in showers, but it was very cold and windy when we stayed. We rarely stay at any site twice, as like variety, but would definitely go back to this one. Couldn't fault it. Local pub served good food and cheaper before 6pm. Very close to eden project, but wouldn't recommend walking as no pavements, even though you get a discount for walking !

What a find! What a little bit of heaven. We felt that we were privileged to be sharing the owners special bit of Cornwall. Lovely terraced sites with a beautiful view. Bus stop 300yds down the road enabled us to visit Fowey and Mevagissey. We could have walked to the Eden Project. Clean toilets and showers and the owners always to be seen cleaning and gardening and just being generally friendly. A large field to run the dog in just made everyones stay perfect. There is a pub down the road, a convenience store and a garage also a chinese takeaway. I really hope we can come back.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Very nice friendly owner.
Had pitch up on a slope with amazing sea view. It's a quiet site with no entertainment/play area. This was one of my reasons for picking this site I mostly wanted a quiet base to explore Cornwall another one being close to the Eden Project.
The toilet block is practical and clean as is the kitchen area.
A convenience store is at the bottom of the road also a chip shop and chinese take-away.
It's a pretty site very close to St Autell.

A friendly welcome, clean and spacious site with excellent facilities. And at a fantastic price too - £20 per night incl EHU was the cheapest we paid all week.
Not quite the 2 minute walk to the Eden Project that's advertised but certainly no more than 10 and not too hilly which meant no grumbling from the kids.
The local pub, a petrol garage and a chinese takeaway were all within a 3 minute walk of the site. The pub was welcoming to us and the children and the grub was fine. The garage stocked all the basic provisions we needed and the chinese food was still warm when we by the time we got it back to our campervan.
All in all a great little site with lovely views and perfect location for the Eden Project (which gives a fair discount plus free kids entry for those who have walked or biked to the site).

Just returned home from a lovely long weekend at Doubletrees Farm, this was our 1st visit to the site and we were very impressed with the friendliness of Sue and her family, she always had time to stop for a chat and nothing was to much trouble. The site was on three areas with two areas being flat and a field that had a slight incline. The pitches were quite level and spacious. The ground was quite hard and the views over the river and sea were lovely. The toilet block was clean and suitable for all your needs. Hope to return in the near future.

My family (2 kids and husband) and I have just returned from a lovely 4 night stay on this site. It is ideally located for exploring cornwall, we had days out at Fistral Beach (about 45 minutes drive) and Carlyon Bay (about 10 minutes drive)there is a large Tesco and Asda within a 15 minute drive from the site for all the essentials. There isn't a shop on site but there is a garage at the bottom of the hill for emergency supplies.
There are plenty of leaflets on ideas for days out and Sue is more than helpful. I chose this site due the close proximity to the Eden Project so we could walk there (kids are free if you walk) and it is perfectly located to do this.
The toilet and shower facilities are very clean and hot water on demand, the washing facilities are also good
Most pitches have a sea view and during our visit we had a choice of several spots to choose from. There was a family pitched next to us and several other couples/groups however everyone was very quiet after about 9. 30pm and I never heard anyone before about 8. 30am which is a rarety for camping and a pleasure.
I would definitely recommend this site to others and I'm sure we will return again.

We are staying at this site as I speak, and cant believe how lovely this site really is. The web site has only two photos, which don't do justice to show the absolute beauty of the site, and of the panoramic views over St Austell Bay, from Gribbins Head round the bay to Par Beach and over Par Town, from every pitch on site. It has everything except a children play park, but with the amount of space provided in the fields of the farm, where you can see your little darlings running a muck, there shouldn't be a need for one, as they should be able to entertain themselves well enough.
The owner can be seen regularly around the site, but never intrudes unless its to wave a friendly good morning/day', and Ben the Farm Collie is a bundle of energy, tail wagging, and never stops running, never far from his master but never a problem. The site and facilities are manicured and pristine, maintained within an inch of its life, pitches all flat on a sloping, tiered hillside, convenient for everywhere, locally on foot, and in the county, being central.
There is nothing to comment on specifically as the standard is kept so high, except to say that the owners should be very proud of everything, and I would prefer to stay at this site, rather than any of the bigger sites, who are company owned and only interested in image and profit and packing as many units onto the site regardless. This is a family business, who take time to make your stay as good as it can get. Well worth every penny and more I believe, and the site should be respected for all it provides. We will be recommending this site, and singing its praises to everyone who enjoy high standard sites, and will always respect the facilities provided. Thankyou for providing our own piece of Eden for our 2 week stay, we will be back, hopefully very soon, and again and again in the long term future.

What a lovely welcome from the owner, toilets very clean and warm, showers very warm. The land is a true delight, flat. A basic field to walk your dog in, what more do you need. Local pub ( The Four Lords) really lovely meal served by great staff, dog welcome in pub ( provided on a lead) There is a Chinese take away, which was brilliant value for money. Local pertol station with shop and cash machine.
On a clear day you can see lovely views of the bay.
All in all we will be returning to this site.

As many before have commented, a lovely site with a very friendly and helpful owner. The site is terraced and all pitches are flat. There is a great view out to the sea in beyond St Blazey. Toilet block is clean. Ladies well heated during our cold season visit, though the Gents was somewhat cooler.
The Four Lords PH down the lane has new (since Oct 2011) friendly publicans, Ashley, who does the cooking and Jill. They were busy finalising the new menu, but managed to sort out a very satisfying and reasonably priced dinner for us. Ordered a couple of his award winning pasties to pick up next morning. These were among the best of the several different versions we tried in our 2 week trip.
Well stocked garage shop next to pub, Chinese takeaway opposite - all 3 minutes walk. Bigger supermarkets in St Austell, 5 minutes by car.
We walked to Eden Project in 20 minutes. Had booked the site because of proximity to Eden, but intend returning on out next Cornwall trip because it is so nice and is in a good base to explore so much.

WINTER CAMPING
2 people, tent, 1 car
£10pn
The view from this site is amazing!
The lady owner of this site is so friendly. She was very welcoming, giving us loads on information on the local area. She dropped the price to £10 from the normal £15 which is really appreciated when your doing a tour of britain on a budget.
She allowed us to have a bbq aslong as it was off the ground (lent us bricks) and she also said it was ok to throw a log on the fire later on (I don't think most sites would allow that)
They had hookups and water points all dotted around
Machine £3, dryer £1 per 30min
The toilets were cold. The radiator was on but no heat. I would describe the toilet/showers as the type you get in football changing rooms. Nothing wrong with that but nothing fancy like some we have stayed in. Hot water was nice. There was a plug in the girls which my partner could use to dry her hair
I would return to this site as it was cheap, good location and had most things you need.
The lady also allowed me to log onto her own private internet. How nice is that!
Brilliant pub. Britannia inn only 5 mins drive away
Eden project 2 mins drive
