Booked this at last minute but not disappointed, arrived just before two and was greeted by a lovely woman on reception who contacted the warden who guided to our pitch under the trees at the far end of the site, we loved it and it was so quiet, no screaming kids or barking dogs.
The shower block was clean and tidy and lovely hot water.
We intend to go back asap not only because of the site but because of the place it is situated, bang on the gallon walk route and endless other walking routes.
See you soon.

Fabulous site!
Good sized level pitches
Modern, clean toilets and showers.
Delightful, welcoming owners!
We will be back and in the meantime we'll spread the word!
Conveniently situated for visiting Whitby and the surrounding areas.
In Whitby I would like to recommend Sherlocks coffee shop - very quirky and serving great coffees and delicious cake.
I am rating a coffee shop as I have said all that was necessary about Ladycross! It's great!

Just left Ladycross after a 2 night stay, myself, husband 3 kiddies and pup. Had a nice relaxing and enjoyable time. Lots of lovely places to explore, nice to see wildlife and kiddies could run free and play safe. The surroundings of the park were very spacious, clean and well maintained everything was explained well arriving and leaving. The caravan park itself was welcoming and overall 10/10. Emacualte toilets, wash, laundry areas. For myself and my family as for other familys with children ideal place as its not to far from anywhere there is the village of egton to explore and not far from Whitby etc. Also pet friendly again ideal for my family and others that have pets/dogs/cats which are welcomed. Very helpful owners Lisa and Kieran and lovely staff William and June, Thank you and hope to see you all again soon. Will recommend to all. Xx

Just got back from what we can only describe as a lovely stay.
The staff are very welcoming and polite.
We stayed on a service pitch that was nice and level. The site over all is immaculate and does have a lot of seasonal pitches but this does not alter anything.
I personally think the site is more aimed at couples than families as they is not a lot for the children to do but it all depends on how old your kids are.
Me personally would have it as an adult only site as we like the peace and quiet.
Whitby is a 10 min drive and so its close to Goathland too.
We will definitely return and enjoyed our stay.

Just returned from an eight day stay at Ladycross. This was our first visit to the North of England (we usually go to Devon or Cornwall. )
The site is very secluded and very quiet, little provision for children but this suited us.
I can recommend this site for couples. The dog walks were excellent it was great to have different walks each day through the woods, and the wildlife around the site was amazing. The toilets and showers were first class and spotless.
The staff were some of the best we have encountered and nothing was too much trouble. We were hit by the remnants of hurricane Bertha while we were there with torrential rain one day, flooded out but it did drain well and were a bit worried that our awning would blow away the next day, but the warden came round every morning to make sure everything was OK and told us to go and enjoy our holiday and he would call us on our mobile if there were any problems. I thought this was a nice touch.
One negative though, be aware that the Wi-Fi was very poor and to be fair we were told this at reception when we booked in so we didn't have to pay (the first 15 minutes is free for you to try it out). The phone signal was also quite poor.
To sum up - great location close to Whitby / Sandsend etc. Spotless modern toilets / showers, excellent staff. The campers on site were very friendly. Amazing wildlife.
Perfect for couples without children.

Our first stay at Ladycross Plantation and hopefully not our last!
Fantastic quiet site, lots of space and great dog walks around the site.
Brilliant showers and toilets
The village of Egton is a short drive away which boasts 3 pubs (maybe even 4)
Central for visiting all the fantastic locations- Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and my favourite Runswick Bay
Brilliant stay.

Just come back from another wonderful weekend at Ladycross. The facilities are spotless and modern.
We had a hard standing pitch which was huge. Plenty of room for the caravan, car, awning and mobility scooter. The pitches are really well spaced - no fear of feeling cramped at all.
The shop stocks the basics, we used Sainsburys in Whitby for everything else. There is a pub in Egton village which looks very nice but we didn't get chance to go.
The site is really well maintained - grass well kept, no rubbish, very tidy bin areas.
The wildlife on the site is lovely to watch - we even had a frog lodging in our awning!
Ladycross is the perfect site to just sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, or use it as a base for visiting the wonderful east coast and surrounding area.
Thanks to all for a great weekend.
We hope to see you again before the end of the season :-)

Stayed here twice with our touring caravan since our first visit in our tent. The staff/owners are very welcoming and helpful. On both occasions provided help with positioning caravan. The site is under constant improvement with more hard standing and serviced pitches being added. Would perhaps benefit with some kids facilities. Nice walk around the site perimeter though the woods. Good location for Whitby, but no pub in easy walking distance. Reasonably priced. We will continue to visit as it is a lovely location and Whitby is great.

Stayed for a week at the start of August 2013.
Lovely quiet site with good facilities and very nice staff. Easy access to Whitby and the North York Moors. The village of Egton nearby is worth a visit too; the first pub you come to (Ye Horseshoe) has good food and great local guest ales.
My only slightly negative observation is that there seemed to be a lot of seasonal pitches. Even with pretty much all pitches full there wasn't much of a buzz to the place outside the weekends. Others may, of course, see this as a positive!

Arrived at this lovely campsite on our whistle stop tour of the North York Moors. We were only stating one night and we found the staff extremely helpful. We were touring in an old vw camper van and had booked a hard pitch. When we were shown to this there was nowhere to tether our dog, so we asked to move pitches. This was done quickly, efficiently and with NO extra charge we were put on a super pitch with water, power and hook up for a tv!
The facilities were exceptional, very clean shower and toilet, quiet site which we intend to return to.
