Very pleased with the site, access was easy and a very warm welcome from the Wardens. The site was very clean, facilities seemed newly refurbished and were kept clean and tidy all day.
The site was very quiet (noise) and very friendly despite being full most nights. The pitches well laid out the ground was grass and easy to peg out. Whilst we were on site storm Hector hit the area, but the site was very sheltered from It.
Asked the warden if I had better take down the awning No was the reply the site is very sheltered as it was. There are a number of trees on site that helps. For dog walkers there are a number of nice walks from the main gate.
The town of Dingwall is easily accessed 5mins walk with its supermarkets many nice local shops, museum, restaurants and local services bus and train.

Stayed here recently for one night, the site and facilities are superb and a credit to the wardens. The location is great with a five minute walk into town via the river path (ten minutes to Tescos). We had a meal at Victoria restaurant in the main street, great food and good value. Caution if you have a dog, the site is like Watership Down I have never seen so many rabbits on a site. But overall a great site.

Stayed here for 1 night. Very friendly reception and showed to our pitch. Hardstanding with ehu and water just next to us. The wardens were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
It’s a strange location, next to football stadium, but it’s quiet and an easy walk into town or to the railway station. The line runs next to the site but there are only a handful of two carriage local trains pass by at slow speed. You can walk alongside the river.
Great elsan point and very clean facilities.
There is a Tesco supermarket and petrol station nearby for stocking up.

Spent 5 nights at this site, entry road is past the football ground the surface is desperate for a makeover, site itself is level grass and hard standing, a lot of trees can block satellite signal, TV signal is poor, rail line passes just behind but not much noise, toilet block has just been refurbished so excellent. Large field at entrance and path along old canal for a dog walk. Dingwall is a 10 minutes walk from site a tesco and lidil and other shops in town. Train station 5 minutes from site, a pub on platform does good food. No children's park but a play park near to tesco. Wardens were welcoming and friendly.

This site is adjacent to Ross County football ground so must be busy on match days, so best to check if a match is on. It is also adjacent to the railway but our pitch was a distance away so did not notice any noise from this. Hardstanding pitch was on the small side meaning you had to park on the grass. Toilets looked new and were immaculate. Site is well maintained, pay wifi is available but signal was poor. Staff on site were friendly. Only a short walk to the town and a large Tesco and Lidl not far away. Walks by the river are adjacent to the site. No on site playpark on the site. Needed to use satellite for TV as could not pick up signal.

Lovely, small, quiet, well kept site. Spotless facilities. Friendly, helpful wardens. Nice dishwashing and laundry areas. Walking distance into the centre of Dingwell. Just near the football ground and also the train line runs at the back of the site. Neither caused a problem.

This is a well maintained site and the facilities are first class with spacious showers and individual wash cubicles. There is no extra charge for use of the hair driers. The laundry and wash areas looked excellent also although we had no cause to use them.
At just over £16 per night for CCC senior citizens it is very reasonable for the standard offered. You will be tempted as we were to stay just a little bit longer as it is an excellent base from which to explore the area. Railway station is just round the corner and has a simple but very nice coffee shop there. Various bus routes operate from the town.
Site seemed very popular with dog owners as there are various options for exercising and walking along the canal and owners were all very responsible.
If you are looking for somewhere that is completely quiet you may not enjoy it here. It is right next to Ross County Football Club and Academy so there were sometimes training sessions in the morning. We didn't find this in any way invasive. The occasional train rumbles past and again this is hardly noticeable. The seagulls made more noise!
TV reception was weak and patchy on pitch 3. It would be advisable to ask where reception is available before pitching up.
The site is within easy walking distance of the town which has a Tesco and Lidl supermarket as well as various other places to shop, browse and eat.
The four star rating for child friendliness is simply because there is no specific play area on site. There is no other reason why parents would not want to bring their children here.
Would have no hesitation in returning.

Had one night here while enjoying the NC500. We were given a warm welcome, we asked for a sunny EHU pitch & were taken to a pleasant one on mown grass where the dog could lie down (tied to the van) and stare at the many rabbits grazing nearby. No sight or sound of any of the unpleasant unleashed dogs mentioned by a previous reviewer, and our dog enjoyed her walks along the river beside the adjacent football training ground. The toilet block has been refurbished, it's so fresh & new that the keypad on the door isn't in use yet. The trains were infrequent & not a nuisance in the evening when we sat outside. Dingwall has a good feel about it, a strong sense of community, and there's free Highland Wifi on the pedestrianised main street. All in all, we liked the site so much that we timed how long it took us to get home, with a view to returning in future to stay longer. It cost about £16 for EHU on grass, members' age concession, good value.

Overall we enjoyed a three night stay on this site in late April. The site was, at best, only a third full - mainly motorhomes touring the highlands. In contrast we were a largish tent booked onto hardstanding with electric hookup. The only problem came from evening noise - v loud disco music - from a travelling fun fair on the neighbouring football ground car park. Great if you are thirteen but a bit of a nightmare to us oldies! We booked using the call centre the day before but were NOT warned of this in advance. Fortunately it didn't go on beyond 10 o'clock. The other sources of noise were 1. From the neighbouring railway line but the trains aren't frequent enough to be annoying. There was even a steam engine passing by on Sunday morning. 2. Ross County's football ground if there is a home match but we are talking of crowds of 3, 000 not Wembley Stadium.
The site is a little awkward to find - turn first left straight after the railway bridge. The wardens were friendly. The site is level, reasonably sheltered with new, and spotlessly maintained, facilities. Reception sells absolute essentials but Dingwall has a very large Tescos, including fuel, and a Lidl both a mile or so from the site. There is a nice walk along the canal into town, also ideal for dogs, with excellent views over the Cromarty Firth. Mobile reception good and the site wifi worked well.
Day trips: we went to Culloden battlefield, National Trust for Scotland but free if you have the English membership. This is a strange place - the battlefield itself with its memorial cairns is free access and very atmospheric but you pay for the new visitor centre. We found this interesting but probably not enough 'entertainment' for smaller children - a better bet is Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness if you have primary aged kids. In the afternoon we called in at Rosemarkie on The Black Isle to see the dolphins - again, the car park by the lighthouse has been recently tarted up but is still free. On the other side of The Black Isle you could easily see the cruise ships moored at Invergordon.
Lastly I must put in a good word for Tore services - a petrol station with a small shop and truckers cafe just off the A9. Don't be put off by appearances, it was both friendly and the best value mug of tea and slab of cake we had all trip whilst seated on a Starbucks style leather sofa!
