A nice quiet site, if you don,t mind the occasional train. Football ground opposite not a problem and we watched academy games on 2 days, good football and it was free.
Toilets are very clean but are typical Caravan and camping Club, very dated and need refurbishing, wardens very helpful. Some great places near by especially for wildlife watches.
Road from town over railway bridge very narrow, we met 2 coaches on it and had to back off.
Dingwall is a strange little town, but has some great little shops and tea shops. The best is The Courtyard Coffee Shop opposite Lidl car park.

One of the best sites around, good friendly welcome pick your spot or as advised by staff. Good hard standings for motorhomes and a service point is provided. Excellent services and very clean and tidy site.
The lack of kids was great. No play area suggests its for the quiet and peaceful type of holiday. Just what the doctor ordered. Good level and not boggy at all. We had a good week with no rain.
Good size tesco's and excellent selection of take away in town if you don't want to cook. Barbecue not a problem, so we had two. Very handy for local town and shops. Left the van and used bikes every day. Stayed a week and will be back next year.

We ended up in this campsite after bypassing Applecross as it was too wet, Torriden as it was just a field and various other campsites as we couldn't find them.
The site was a little difficult to find given Dingwals' one way system, but once you're on the right road it was easy to locate.
On arrival we were directed by the warden along the one way system to our pitch (at regulation 5mph). The warden then measured out the space for the 2 tents to the nearest foot and gave us a good introduction to the site and the nearby shops.
The campsite was flat with well kept grass. Lots of trees surrounding the site, along with a decent height wooden fence. There was a public path to the other side of the fence but it looked safe. Site is on the outskirts of Dingwall so very quiet with the occasional nearby train.
The facility blocks were a bit dated but clean and warm.
Along the walkway behind the site there's a 24 hours tesco, along with a decent selection of pubs and restaurants. Station is also not far away if you wanted to go in to Inverness.
Would stay again if ever back in the area.

Stayed here for three nights. Wardens were very helpful and friendly. As previous review stated, driving past Ross County Football Club was a bit daunting, but didn't bother us at all.
In fact, Ross were playing at home on the Saturday afternoon but it was quite nice to hear people having fun and enjoying themselves. Life's too short, so enjoy it while you can.
Pleasant short stroll into town where we visited the Indian restaurant on the Saturday evening. Tesco is great for stocking up. Back to the site - good facilities, only two shows in the main block but there was another single one along the pathway. Clean facilities and would definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Good clean site. Showers, toilets, washing up sinks, chemical disposal and electric hookups.Averaged sized pitches.Accepts dogs.Very handy for Dingwall. Nice walking in the immediate area and very handy for the local railway station. Some very good deals on Scotrail.
Nothing for children on site but a games field opposite. Visited the Mariners Arms nearby. It boasts a warm and friendly welcome. Not our experience. No motorhome service point. Friendly and helpful wardens.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in June this year. The wardens were extremely friendly and helpful as were other campers as we have not had a tourer or tried to erect an awning in over 25 years.
The site itself is lovely, clean toilets and showers nice and warm, good disposal facilities.
The site is only 5 mins walk away from town centre and there is a good sized tesco's in the town.
Its a lovely quiet site, the park adjacent which borders on to the local football club, was being utilised by the cancer relief organisation when we arrived as they were doing a 'Walk for Life' event, walking continuously for 24hours to raise funds for cancer relief there was music playing which we found nice in the background.Sadly some campers were asking when the event would finish and what time the music would stop. The music was there to gee up those taking part to keep them going through the night. They switched off the music at about 23.00 hrs and the participants kept walking. However I felt that as they were doing it for a good cause a little bit of come and go would not have went astray after all it was only for the one night that the music would have played. Sadly there are always people who will find the smallest thing to complain about.
All in all though we had a great couple of days at the site and the weather was brilliant but sadly changed on our way home northwards.
The only downside and we did not have our grandkids with us was that I did not see any play facilities for kids which is a shame as itys nice to see kids enjoying themselves on holiday.
We will definitely be visiting this site again.

Lovely site and as expected very clean. Wardens were particularly friendly and helpful.
Toilets and showers very clean - but only 2 showers in ladies. Motorhome point was fairly awkward to get to difficult to empty tank without driving very close to tents pitched opposite.
Lovely walk into town through a small footpath. We ate in Dings Chinese restaurant in town - good food and good value.

We stay here last year and loved it. Spotlessly clean and tidy, great local shop in Dingwall, friendly staff. We booked a week this year but it was very busy and we had a very small pitch. During the week we never had space to erect our porch awning. On the whole very disappointing after last year.

Have just had an enjoyable 2 night stay on this well laid out site and found the facilities were of a good standard and always spotlessly clean. The site is close to the railway station but the passing trains were hardly noticeable so not a problem. Dingwall town centre is a 5 minute walk with a large Tesco's and a Lidl as well as some good Indian & chinese takeaways .
The site wardens were always on hand were most helpful and friendly and we will definitely use the site again

Very pleasant site, though the arrival experience past the football stadium wasn't promising. A small site, subdivided by low hedges and blossoming trees and thick with rabbits that drove the Spaniel demented. Plenty of hard stands for motorhomes (caravans were put onto the grass), and not too close. Toilets homely, warm (welcome! as there was a cold East wind) and clean. Free showers, but only two of them and nowhere to sit down while you waited. Dog walk off site, between the river and the football practice pitch. We were woken up by the trains, but we're light sleepers and it wasn't a problem. A short walk into town, fine buildings but not nearly as pretty as the nearby spa town of Strathpeffer (which also has a beautiful but very uppy-downy golf course). Take the train down to Plockton (beautiful village near the west coast) -station is in walking distance.
