Just spent a lovely week off peak here, mainly walking and cycling straight off the site. The welcome from the wardens was lovely & friendly & helpful, taking us to our pitch and explaining how to walk to the beach.
The toilets and showers were constantly being cleaned so always spotless, but would have been nice if the push button showers lasted a little bit longer.
Rubbish collections also very regular so everything was nice and tidy all the time. Exceptionally good value at £13. 50 a night including our entertainment passes. We only went in early for the bingo, then back in later for the live acts as all the in between stuff is geared to children. I don't expect it would be so easy to come and go in peak season as you would struggle to get a seat in the club since its quite small.
We didn't eat in the pub but looked an extensive & reasonably priced menu. Made use of the wifi in the bar.
The Fish & Chips up the road was very good. We would definitely go back but only in off peak season again

Came here about 8 years previously and stopped in a static caravan and really loved the area. This time we visited using out own touring caravan which was a hefty way to go but not that bad considering it took us 6 hours of driving to get there.
The whole site is set on a hillside with plateaus set down them with numerous pitches on them. The road through the site is one way and very steep but the overall layout of the site was very good. The staff were very helpful as to were the rest of the haven staff.
The toilet/shower facilities were outstanding with key coded entry and a vast number of toilets and showers to chose from and a fenced park next door for the kids to play in. The rest of the facilities on site were the usual haven set up but on a smaller scale which was ample for the site.
Had an indoor pool which was heated and very relaxing especially when the sun shone through the glass roof. The site is within walking distance of Weymouth and is a main bus route if you cant be bothered to walk back.
There has been a lot of new roads around this area in ready for the Olympics which is a big asset to get to the site.

First time camping at a Haven site and we had a great time. We had electric hook up which also had a water tap. Warm welcome from the Touring Wardens we were show to our pitch, which was a bit bigger than we had expected after reading other reviews. There wasn't much grass on the pitch but I suppose during high season it doesn't get chance to recover.
Toilet block are obviously quite new and were kept very clean by the Wardens who were in there regularly throughout the day. There are hooks on the backs of shower and toilet doors but no separate 'dry' area within the shower cubicles.
In the ladies there was a cubicle that had a full size bath with shower on flexible hose, toilet and sink (also one in mens I believe), a bath very useful for young children. Socket for hairdrier. Separate baby changing room/toilet and a separate disabled 'wet room'. Considering we were there in high season we never had to queue for a shower.
We did occasionally have to queue for a sink in the washing up area. The site overall was kept very clean including the pool areas.
Added bonus of being able to use the neighbouring Weymouth Bay site as its pool areas have recently been upgraded and are lovely.
There is a playground area very close to the touring area great for our children but not close enough to cause a noise problem.
This site is a short drive from Weymouth with a great beach. Plenty of large supermarkets close by, so we didn't really use the on site shop.
Entertainment every day/evening although some of it was a bit repetitive particularly in the early evening. After coming to Seaview we would now book with Haven again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in half term in our folding camper and wish it could have been longer! It's one of the best campsites we have been to and even though it was school holidays and it was full it was really quiet every night.
The shower and toilet facilities are quite new and are cleaned every morning. There's probably not enough showers given the number of tourers on the site - in the ladies there were 4 showers and one bath. So there was a short queue in the morning - it's just a case of timing your visit right.
The pitch was massive with plenty of room for car and awning. It was well looked after - nice grass, no litter.
We took our two children (2 and 4) and the facilities were excellent. There's an indoor and outdoor pool (outdoor pool with inflatable slide for older kids), a playground, and daytime and evening entertainment - we took them to the 'Tots disco' one night and then to Cinderella panto the next night.
There's a nice Spar shop and a Papa Johns pizza takeaway who deliver to your tent. You can also walk over to the other Haven site and use their facilities. They have an indoor soft play and a brand new pool complex with a lazy river which was fab.
All in all a great site and we will definitely be going back.

Firstly, there is a swarm of Crows at the park. They nest in a line of trees just across from the Tourer field and the tent was subjected to ongoing aerial target practice. 5am crow wake-up call not fun so avoid if this if you want some peace! It really isn't good!
A warm welcome from the wardens greeted us when we arrived and were shown to our pitch.
PITCHES: We were somewhat concerned as the basic pitch we were allocated would not take our Montana 6 and car, so I asked to be moved. This was done without fuss and the new pitch was thankfully better sized. Basic pitch size varies from tiny to fair, so this seems to be a little 'luck of the draw'. I'm just glad we arrived before the site filled up!
New-for-2011 pitch layouts are a mixture of grass, mud and rubble. Not flat in the slightest and look to have been arranged by a cowboy. This is obvious when you see the pathetic bushes that have been installed as a boundary around each pitch. The biggest annoyance was the rubble mixed in with the grass. We spent 10 minutes picking up stones before we began and had to send our son on a commando mission to crawl under and recover the later-found stones!
EHU and taps all around the edge of the field, with basic pitches in the middle. Well lit at night but not disturbingly bright. The road is rubble which doesn't help as this gets kicked all over the field.
FACILITIES: The toilet block is split male and female with a separate baby changing room, disabled toilet and wash room round the back. The facilities have been repaired since the last reviewers visit and everything is in place. Taps are the timed, push-on type which whilst understandable is frustrating (especially in the dish washing room!).
On Friday the block was clean, dry and very warm - I was pleasantly surprised. A welcome relief at 5am from the cold weather outside! Unfortunately by Sunday the block was filthy. The ladies was worse by all accounts, and you could hear many conversations on the park about their state.
The push-code entry really isn't a big deal and they are about chest-height so no stooping required.
There are approx 8 sinks, 5 showers, 4 urinals and 3 toilets in each block, with a hairdryer and 3-pin mains plugs along with shaver sockets.
Didn't use the laundrette so can't comment.
ENTERTAINMENT: Typical Haven facilities such as arcades, family shows, nice bar, standard kids arcade (2p and 10p mainly), free kids play area in the arcade, Spar, Papa Johns etc.
The entertainment/bar toilets next to Reception were awful. Better off using the tourer block.
Play park near tourer block basic but the kids enjoyed being able to let off steam.
The swimming pool indoors is a basic rectangle but was really warm - more so than you'd expect. Toilets and showers were poor however - again, use the tourer block. Ability to use the sister site just down the road (within walking distance) was a good addition although both were much the same.
STAFF: Touring wardens, Spar shop and arcade staff were very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately reception staff on the Friday night weren't interested in assisting. We tried to buy Sea Life tickets and even tried to take advantage of a really cheap 2012 deal, but the staff didn't even try to close a warm sale by providing the info we needed!
On Saturday night the new shift staff were much more helpful.
LOCAL AREA: Sea life centre worth a visit but get tickets from the Haven reception for a decent discount. There's a couple of chippies, pubs, a co-op and Spar on the main road within 2 mins walk of the park. Portland Bill worth exploring.
Allow a minimum of £1 per hour for parking in all car parks in Weymouth. The new pricing has been stuck over the old which is still visible and shows the price hikes implemented in anticipation of the 2012 Olympics.
Weymouth town centre is a mass of temporary lights and roadworks. Avoid the promenade/King Street by car if you can or be prepared for a long wait.
GETTING THERE: From Weymouth centre if using Sat Nav DO NOT turn down Church Road (dead end) if it tells you to! Keep going up the hill and it's 50 yards further on.
Overall, due to the crows, pitch size and quality of the ground on the pitch we would not use the park again. Otherwise, we were happy with what it had to offer but prices can be steep in peak season. Go out of peak for what will probably be a better trip.

We stayed here for three nights after the Easter weekend. Pitch was bigger than the other haven sites we have stayed on. Ground was very hard I think due to lack of tlc but grateful it didn't rain. Toilet block is meant to be new but lacked anywhere to put your clothes and only a few showers and one wasn't working and were left in a messy state by others, partner couldn't shave in gents as no plugs in sink. Luckily we didn't pay much for the three days. There is no takeaway shop for food on site. On first night there was a rowdy couple in caravan swearing and banging and shouting at each other our next door neighbours called security a few times but nothing was done luckily they left the next evening. I know haven caters for children but we spoke to a few adults who said that the entertainment could be better later on for adults ie after 9. You could walk to sister haven site through the caravan site next door and use there facilities. And it was a short walk to beach. Just down the road about 15 miles is ludworth cove which was very nice.

We booked this site because after reading reviews and seeing the website it looked like much had been spent on it, including the new toilet blocks.
When we arrived it was a very friendly welcome and we were let on the site early, when I got to the pitch however I was quite shocked, not a blade of grass in site and prayed it would stay dry. It did for for three days then the heavens opened and the pitch was just a muddy bog which was just a nightmare, I have no problem with rain and camping but as many will know on grass it's fine but on mud it sure is not.
The pitch was a good size and thankfully we did not book the smaller ones as they were closer together than I have seen any pitches, they were right on top of each other.
The toilets were kept very clean but really let down by a needless keypad locking system that many had issues with, why lock the toilets and wash room up? does not make any sense at all. Sadly lots of vandalism in the new block already with taps not working and soap dispensers pulled off the walls.
A visit to the launderette was awful painful as there were no chairs or even one table to use, little things like this just help.
Arcades and entertainment were standard stuff and nothing to write home about.
All in all I felt a little let down as the pictures on the website and in the brochure have clearly been touched up giving the impression of tarmac driveways and lush green pitches, when really they are loose granite all over the place. Seeing as this was refurbished last year it is in a pretty poor state now.
On a positive note I cannot fault the wardens who were helpful and very friendly, but we will not be going back here again.

My wife and I are trying to emulate the BBC Coast programme by driving around the UK coastline.
We arrived at this site without booking and were warmly welcomed and directed to an excellent touring pitch which was a concrete pad with plastic re-inforced matting between the roadway and the hard standing.
The site was busy, but the toilet/shower facilities were excellent and although the weather had turned to persistent rain, the floors were kept dry.
There is an entertainment centre which did not interest us, but the social facilities and food outlets were good. There is a SPAR shop on site with long opening hours.

We stopped going here as the shower/toilet facilities were awful, so was glad to find out a lot had been spent on new ones.
New ones = about 4 toilets 4 showers and a bath for the male side to cater for over 100 vans and tents' lets just say you only kept the seat warm for the next person!
Brand new yet already worn out taps, hairdriers and no-where to hang anything in the shower. Queues everyday morning and evening to use the showers anyway.
Chemical dosposal point in a side room with a door always closed, lovely smell when it warmed up I can tell you!
What they have built needs to be triplicated around the touring pitches. The pitches on the grass side are rubbish, uneven varying sizes, so close together as already said, no care to them at all
Same level of haven entertainment, pool okay, nice walk to beach - if you can find it ;) The only good thing was the female warden who was very helpful
We paid £300 for the week which was average, but my partner was struck down with viral meningitus and I needed to stay in the area while she was in hospital. Graciously Haven site offered me the same pitch for £600, despite a call from my partners hospital bed, the best they could do was £180 for 3 days, luckily I found somewhere else

This was a lovely haven site, very close to the town, lovely staff very helpful, we had a great holiday with no problems,
Pools were small but nice, pitches was marked out with plenty of space and own tap, toilets were always cleaned,
My whole family had a great time, excellent value for money, would recommend to families, excellent views,
We walked to the local pub over the fields for carvery £4.95 which was yummy.
We have been on lots of the haven sites and I would say this is one of the best.
