We spent 2 nights in Cheddar, 2 nights in Seaview near Weymouth and 2 nights in Brighton.
The Haven site - Seaview is great if you have children and want to keep them entertained, it looked like there was certainly lots to keep children occupied.
The facilities for those people in tents was rather disappointing. The showers were very tatty and quite dirty, I didn't really want to use them.
We arrived on the Tuesday and have to say we were glad to be here for only 2 nights.
The site is not in a particularly good location either. In the immediate vicinity there is another Haven site, a chip shop, a pub or two and a Spar. If you want to go in to Weymouth, you will need to drive in or get a taxi - we walked one evening, but it is just over 4 miles each way and took us about an hour to get there.
There is a bus service from Weymouth to Preston, it seemed to run every hour, with the last bus being at about 11pm.
I personally would not stay here again, but if you have children and need to keep them entertained, I am sure that Sea View would be ok.

We arrived at this site for 3 nights on a Saturday, we had stayed in Haven static caravans before, but never the touring area, and we have certainly learnt our lesson! The entertainment could be heard until 2am, and the touring area was like being in the car park of a night club, including the drunken people shouting and lighting barbecues up to 3am. The touring toilets and showers were also the toilets and showers for the swimming pool, so were very busy, and the washing up area was right next to the swimming pool, and had no hot water. Beware if touring at haven, it is clear that those who are camping at Haven are not there for a relaxing break, and most have no consideration for other guests, this may be good for a drinking weekend, but little else. We left the site after just one night, and moved to Binghams Farm, which was absolute bliss, I would recommend Binghams Farm to anyone looking to stay in Weymouth.

This was our first visit to the site and I must say it was great.
With the winter winds still making an appearance it was nice to have all the Haven indoor facilities to keep the kids occupied.
Overall the site was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful too. We were the only caravan in touring field but a few tents appeared in the 3 days we were there. This meant the kids had most of the field to play in.
Weymouth was lovely, okay not much to do for teenagers but younger ones and parents should love it. The old harbour and beach had a lot of character.
Being a Haven site prices shoot up in the peak periods so I would go back to Weymouth again but probably to a cheaper site.

Been going to Sea View for the last 5 years. 2005 and 2006 we booked a seasonal pitch. In April this year some of the kids swings were broken and the play area was out of use for 2 days. It is now August and they are still missing. The overall maintenance of the site has certainly deteriorated over the last 5 years

We found that the facilities were quite good, ok it's a bit of a trek up to the shower block from the bottom of the touring field but if you're lazy like my friend you can always take the car! The entertainment complex was well laid out, the food was quite good and the various acts were ok.
What I did find was that the one way system out of the park was very tricky to drive round, some of the bends are quite tight. Then there is the marvellous uphill drive right from the bottom of the campsite, remembering to go over the speed bumps (yep, speedbumps as you crawl uphill!) slow enough in order to not destroy the jockey wheel. we looked around the sister site (Weymouth Bay) but thought that Seaview was better.
The site made up for the fact that weymouth was a non event, nothing for teenage kids to do and not very many 'seaside' type shops.

Not very impressed cold water for washing up, no hairdryers in ladies toilet/shower rooms but some in the mens! Hand dryers didnt work. The park was for 6-12 year old children (mine are all under 5). Only one toilet block adjoined to swimming pool and I have no idea why they call it sea view because I couldnt see the sea at all.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Seaview campsite. This is a relatively small Haven site and we found it friendly and welcoming. We were contacted a couple of days before our stay and offered a free upgrade from a basic electric pitch to a hardstanding pitch - due to the previous weeks bad weather which we thought was great.
The touring pitches are very close to the childs play park which suited us. The pool is not brilliant but as guests at Seaview you can also use the Weymouth Bay facilities and their pool is really nice! Seaview has a footpath leading to the beach but its a bit of a trek.
Overall, we found this a nice little site with lots of good attractions nearby (monky world and Sealife centre are good days out!)

May 2005 Just come back from a 3 night stay at this site. I think you are either a Haven site lover or not, not much to do except swim in the overcrowed swimming pool, or join in the club activities, not my cup of tea. The washing up and toilet/shower facilites were joined to the swimming pool complex, so a bit of a walk for the tourers, plus crossing a one way system for the whole haven site, not a good one if your kids want to go to the toilet on their own. Washing up water was always cold. The convenience store closed at 6pm, which I thought was a bit early.
