This is a very nice well maintained site with clean functionalal showers and toilets, if a little cold for the kids. Also the wife mentioned the ladies mop and bucket weren't the cleanest ever. All roads and pitches are gravelled.
Fees were very reasonable £15 per night plus £1.50 for awning. And a £10 deposit for the barrier card.
Nice play area for the children, a couple of benches would be nice for the grown ups to sit on whilst supervising. Very quiet at night. A few fly over by the police helicopter as it's based at BAE over the road, but didn't wake us up. Quite a few planes during the week but the kids loved them.
Chip shop, Spar and pub out of the gates and left were a two minute drive and reasonably priced.
Turn right out of the gates and there are plenty of beaches with in 15 mins drive. No more than 20 mins to drive to Blackpool though we stuck to the smaller more local beaches.
Garage 1 mile towards Blackpool sells LPG for the car at a very good price too.

We love it here, it's very clean, the shower and toilet blocks are excellent, the owners are really friendly and helpful and the children's play area is great. The dog excercise area is well enclosed and everyone cleans up after their dogs. It is a short ride away from the beautiful Lytham and St Anne's with their quaint shops and lovelly beaches. All in all a greatly recommended site.

Just arrived back from a weekend at this park and found the newly refurbished site quite acceptable. I used to visit this park regularly when owned by the previous owners, and used to have a great stay, but the atmosphere was very different this time. For one, the park is now geared very much towards the 'static caravan' and you do feel a little put out by this. The pitches are getting fewer and fewer for the tourers, and have to be booked well in advance to get even a chance of one. If there are any touring pitches they are located on a noisy field. However, very good children's playground and clean toilet facilities, and pleasant reception staff. Conclusion, geared towards the 'statics' and maybe that will be the future.

We spent a long weekend here and couldn't fault the site. Good facilities and friendly staff. The toilet/shower block was clean with plenty of hot water. There is a brilliant playground for the children, even the rain didn't put them off. There is a local chippy close by and a pub about 10 mins walk away. We had a meal in The Fairhaven a short drive away in Lytham St Annes, the food was excellent and very good value for money. We used the site as base for visiting Southport and Morecombe, and would definitely go again.

I visited during the Easter period which was quite busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are shops and pubs serving food within a few mins walk also a good chippy. The pitches were of a good size and under development with water and drains in place. The toilets were clean with ample hot water. There are a number of excellent angling lakes within 10 mins. Adjacent to the site is a storage facility with collection from pitch. The children's playground kept the grandchildren happy. The site is quiet however the is an aircraft works with a runway nearby and jets do take off occasionally during the week. Lytham and St Annes ane a few mins drive while blackpool is approx 20 mis. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend and will surely revisit.

We used this site as a base for visiting Blackpool, which is about a 20 minute drive away. The site has just changed hands and the new owner is having some building work done which should improve the site.
We stayed on the hardstanding area, which whilst functional is somewhat unsightly. The roads are apparently soon to be tarmaced which will improve the appearance. The field behind is a much nicer place to pitch but is closed during the winter months.
The toilets and showers were clean. There are 2 blocks, only 1 of which was open during our stay. There is an excellent play area on the field which our 2 boys loved.
All in all an ok site

Due to my family circumstances (a dog) was able to pitch my tent for a week and visit family in Preston at a very reasonable cost. The site was peaceful in the evenings, even though children and dogs around. Toilet block and washing facilities very clean, staff polite and helpful, will be back again in 2009 for another family visit. Lots of places to see Blackpool, Lytham, Lake district and the Dales all in a days reach.

Just had a weekend break at this site and was slightly apprehensive as could only get a grass pitch due to all the hardstandings being booked. We arrived in the dark and was directed to the field, which was like a mud bath! However went to reception and the guy was extremely helpful and apologetic and agreed we could move pitches in the morning when some of the other caravans left. We moved in the morning for no additional charge and was pleased with our pitch. The toilet and shower block was new and so immaculate and the play area for the children was great to. We were very pleased with the little shop which is in reception for all the little handy bits and bobs for the caravan which would save a trip to a caravan accessory shop.
The site was also a great location near the coast and only a few miles from the centre of st Annes. Overall had a good weekend and was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff.

Although we had booked for 3 nights we only stayed for 2 due to the bad ground conditions. This site I imagine is very nice in the summer and good weather but after heavy rain I would avoid it, the grass pitches should not have been open as they were very water logged and our awning was like a mud bath. The toilet blocks were ok but there was not much room in showers to get changed once you had showed. The play area was very good but due to the weather conditions my daughter only managed to use it once during our stay. We were quite a distance from Blackpool itself but the local shops / pubs were very good.

Yeah, nice site. In the summer. We have just spent 3 nights at this site. I would say (without prejudice) that there is a drainage problem as I have photo's showing 2ft floods! Yes I am quite disappointed at the moment because I have just returned after a weekend of dire straights and now have a lot of dirty kit. The showers and toilets are in good order. The kids park is excellent. I really would recommend this site for a weekend summer break. But I also recommend that the owners close the field pitches during the winter and not take bookings, its only fair.
