We spent 3 nights here in our converted camper van, went really to test the awning, which was great! Our stay was very peaceful. The toilets and shower block were lovely and clean, water always hot. Got adopted by a little black cat who visited every day and night. We nearly brought him home but thought he may have belonged to someone in the static homes! Got the bus to Blackpool right outside the camp, enjoyed a great day there, weather was great. Went to the local boot sale at the country & western campsite up the road, grabbed some bargains. Had Sunday lunch at the Pickwick Tavern, food was lovely and reasonably priced. We would return as it's a good location for access to Blackpool, Lytham etc. Recommended

Fantastic, from check-in to leaving. 3 families had brill time. Pitch sizes are plenty big enough with space for our Outwell Montana 6 plus the car next to it, but with still enough room to walk round, and not right ontop of your neighbour. Super dog run, which was clean and bin emptied daily. Next to this is a mini football pitch, then directly next to this is a really great play area for kids, the kids were happy to play here for ages and you can see both all the time on the touring field, which is great with smaller children. Toilet block was about 60 yards from tent, cleaned every day and were spotless. Very warm 'free' showers. Also second toilet block with dishwashing area. Pay £10 deposit for security fob for barrier and toilet key. Plenty bins, very pleasant, nice people, very well runwith on-site shop. 15 min walk to shop and pub and only 5 min drive to Lytham. We will definitely be going back next year with some of our friends.

We booked for a 4 night stay in our touring caravan, on arrival the entrance was off a busy main road and not very well signed, after leaving the office we headed to our pitch through what resembled a builders yard/storage yard, this was a very bad surface full of pot holes, when we reached our allocated pitch it was at the end of a row with a huge dip in it and all the edges were full of muddy puddles. We went back to the office and were given the next but one pitch along which also turned out to be a bad move, as it was like a bog for the duration of our stay, the caravan was filthy, the dog was filthy and all our shoes were wet through. We lifted the steps and the rubber suckers stayed buried in the mud.The grass site is in desperate need of drainage and levelling all over. The next 3 caravans to arrive also went back to the office to complain that their pitches were soggy and uneven the same as ours. The dog walk was ok but you has to tramp across soggy ground to get to it. More investment in hardstanding would be very beneficial to the site.
On the better side the play area and the toilet/shower blocks were excellent. The site was tidy and not littered with rubbish. It is only a short run to St Anns and Blackpool.

Had a two night stay. Very good value at £11 a night.
Wonderful play area for our two small children, 2 and 3.
Toilet facilities were very clean. The only problem was that the floors in the shower block were very muddy and needed to be mopped more often (though I can appreciate this may be like fighting a losing battle).
Well stocked shop. Small freezer for ice blocks.
Great location. There is a fabulous playground about 5 minutes drive away - well worth a visit.
Only a short drive away from Lytham.
We spent the day in St Annes - lovely clean beach.
Would definitey visit again.

Have just returned from a 7 night stay at this campsite. Nice small site but not at all peaceful when we were there. The non electric tents are in a corner by the dog walking area - agree with a previous camper - it is a pity dog owners cannot clear up after their dogs.
The playground from early morning was very noisy and where we were positioned meant a constant stream of screaming children running past our tent - even kicked one of us in the head one morning! Unfortunately we had two very noisy nights where one couple arrived to set up at 1am and their large dog barked for about half an hour! Also a large group of people stayed up partying until after 1am.
Did report to reception next morning and they were very understanding on this and promised to talk to those concerned.
Saying that, when they had gone it was peaceful.
Toilet blocks - 1 for men, the other seems to be undergoing building work so was rather busy at times and the ladies had two blocks but there were no showers in the 2nd block. Showers that there were though were hot and quite powerful and kept clean. Nice washing up area with huge sinks and nice laundry facilities and freezer.
Was overcharged on arrival and receptionist on duty was very unhelpful but on departure I managed to sort out where the discrepancy had occurred and a very nice different receptionist on duty duly gave me a refund.
Great price and location for Blackpool. Great for people with young families, not sure great for anybody wanting a lie in after a hectic day and night in Blackpool! Would ask to be further away from playground next time. Will try site again when in the area.

Just got back today from a 2 night stay here and I must say it was lovely. My husband, our 12yr old daughter, her friend and myself all had a wonderful time. The price was fantastic, just £27 for all of us for 2 nights. The site is family run and all the staff are very friendly. They have a good childrens play area where the girls spent most of the time. There is a lovely well fenced off, if small dog walk, but it is lovely. I just think its a pity that some dog owners can't be bothered to clean up after thier pets. There is also a small laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, because we didn't stay long I didn't use this facility. The showers and toilets were immaculate. We never used the small onsite shop as we were only there for the 2 nights but from what I could see it was well stocked. You have to pay a refundable £10 deposit for a gate pass and toilet key but both are a great idea. There are shops not far from the site if you turn left on leaving Oaklands. The weather was wet to say the least and parts of the site did flood, but the site owners were more than happy to assist anyone that wished to move their tent to another part of the site. St Annes is good for a nice day out and close to the site. Blackpool is only a short drive away (aprox 20 mins depending on traffic) RAF Warton is almost opposite the site so there are jets flying in and out across the day, but never at night. My husband and I almost became plane spotters hehehehe. We will definitely be returning to this lovely site again soon.

We stayed here for 1 night only to try out the tent and wanted a site nearer to home, you know in case it wasn't our thing!
The site was spot on. Small and manageable for me the other half and my 2 children aged 8 & 3. It rained very heavily overnight but the ground stayed firm underfoot. The showers were hot & powerful, toilets clean and cleaned everyday, and there were 2 blocks considering the overall size of the site. Good facilities we were not put off camping even with the little leaks. Will definitely be going back if in the area. A lovely family run site very near to Lytham. St Anne's and Blackpool.

Just got back from a 2 night stay in a tent. Prices were very reasonable (had 6man tent) (2 adults and 2 kids under 5)cost us £11 a night. The site and owners were lovely. Toilet/shower block (x2) were lovely and clean. All pitches are allocated by numbers, plenty of room for tent and car. There is a fantastic play area for the kids with swings for bigger kids and also for babies, slides and climbing frames. There was a dog walking section and the reception has a small but well equip shop from camping accessories to chocolate and ice creams. Will definitely be going back again next year.

This was our second visit to this site and my kids really enjoyed the fantastic new play area.
The toilets were very clean and modern and I never had to queue for a shower once during the week that we stayed.
Unfortunately, we did have quite a bit of rain and while we had thought the ground we were pitched on was flat, it rained so much a muddy dip appeared under the kids bedroom area and some water got in. The ground was really too flat for the rain to run of properly and we spotted lots of dips in the ground. Cant blame the campsite for the weather though.
No noise is allowed after 10.30pm and while this is great for those with little one's, my hubby and I found it a bit challenging trying to keep 3 excited boys quiet, so that was a bit stressful.
The site is within close proximity to all Blackpools attractions and there are also plenty of places to eat nearby.
Having look at other campsites around Blackpool, I really think this one is the pick of the bunch.

We have just got back from this campsite from our first camping trip, I took my son 7, daughter 15mths my other half and her mother. A five min drive to Lytham sea front which was very nice for a day out. What a wonderful place this was, the toilets were spotless and the showers worked very well, the staff were friendly and helpful, the camp shop stocked most essentials and there is a mini market round the corner. There is a good play area for the kiddies, and dogs are kept in a separate area. I highly recommend this site and a nice peaceful retreat for anyone with a family.
