We spent 5 nights here with our trailer tent and also a tent as it was a bit of a family gathering.

My 5yr old son was very impressed with the play area and according to him made his new best friends within 5 mins. The hosts were brilliant and helpful and always on hand. The small shop they have is well stocked with essentials although not bread which we thought they would at this time of year. We were situated right by the owners house which did worry us a bit but they were so kind, it was brill even when the weather was so hot and we asked if we could put our blue freezer blocks in the freezer to stop our food going off.

Negative points: Toilets - although toilets themselves were spotless, they are really really in need of replacing the building with just the toilet in was covered inside with cobwebs dead flies etc. And the toilets are so small I was unable to use this block as your knees touch the door. The shower block although again spotlessly clean is in dire need of modernisation. We didn't see where work was in progress for new ones.

Also for disabled people like myself you will struggle as the shower block and launderette are a fair walk.

We would definitely return there again for the family atmosphere but probably not until toilets have been sorted. I would still recommend the site to my friends because of the helpfulness and politeness as well especially from Priscella.

We have just returned from a fantastic long weekend here, we had typical British weather but that didn't spoil our weekend.

The campsite was excellent very relaxed and plenty to keep the kids happy.

Its a very family campsite and the kids made friends very quickly.

The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome.

The shower block may have been basic but it was always clean and tidy.

There is a little shop there that was perfect.

We liked it that much we have booked another week away there the end of July.

Thanks for a great weekend

This was a wet weekend but it was a lovely site and my pitch was dry and perfect. I was up near the road but although it was a bank holiday weekend there was very little road noise that I noticed and the views more than made up for it. The owners were so friendly, accommodating and welcoming.

I can not fault this site but the apparently intended new showers and toilets would ensure it remains by far my choice of site in the area of mid Wales. The site was quiet at night(and pretty much the rest of the time) and the pitches more than big enough even though they were fully booked being a bank holiday.

Don't let the static caravans put you off. You do not feel like an add on like you can do on some sites with Statics. There were endless footpaths and bridleways near the site which I am keen to use and had I been staying longer which I am sure I will next time I would have enjoyed. Nant Yr Arian forestry commission site is not far away and this has a lot of things to do including lots of mountain biking and walking.

I can not wait to return and hopefully next time to do more than to pick up my daughters surplus clothing! It was noted that I wasn't the only Aberystwyth Uni student parent staying at the site and it is an excellent base to do this

 Good points for this site;

Beautiful location

Very reasonable

As its a working farm lots of wandering animals

Dog friendly

Good spot for red kite watching

Well drained pitches

Friendly owners

Negative points;

Poor shower and toilet block (although I was under the impression this was a work in progress)

The tent pitches with electric hook up are right in the middle of the play area and consequently also in the middle of ball games

The nearest pub and shop is a drive away as the road is a bit dangerous to walk along although the campsite has a shop.

Well we have just returned from spending 2 nights at this site. Very, very pleasant. Friendly owners who really are very nice people. They were always around the site doing jobs or just chatting to people. A separate area has been provided for school groups and Duke of Edingburgh students. The area around is beautiful and we cycled and walked. Devils Bridge gorge is 1 mile away. The shop sells treats and basics. There are 2 toilet blocks. One that has the showers is the further end of the site but we were not paying over the top prices so no complaints there. The owners talked about installing a new toilet block and this would really complete this site.

Red kites flew regularly over the site and the sheep were in the next field and chickens too.

In March for 2 people we were charged £13 to include electric. They have just installed a wooden camping pod which we were given a guided tour of. This is ideal for bikers and walkers. It must have had the best view in the site. The top part of the campsite is mainly non-electric and next to the road but it is a country road. Views from this part of site are great and it was flat. The lower field caters more for Statics and sited caravans but was neat and spacious. Electric points were available here and a large grassed area was behind and this was sloping so you would have to level out on chocks if a caravan or motorhome.

We had a great stay here and the weather was great too.

We stayed here for 4 nights and could have easily stayed 4 more.

Devils bridge and a cafe in walking distance fantastic views

Lots to do in the area if you like scenery fishing walking etc

Very friendly owners very helpful. Clean, lovely hot showers and clean loos, couldnt fault it at all.

The red kites were lovely to watch, bit of a problem with the midges, but nothing a spray couldnt sort out.

Handy little shop on site selling milk etc,

Would go back to this camp site again very much recommended

We have just returned from a stay over the Easter weekend at this site. The owners are very pleasant and friendly and we were made very welcome. As we had a large tent, we were situated at the top of the site, nearest the road & furthest from the main toilets. There are no electric hook up stands at present, so the owner supplied a lead from the house which was fine. The toilets are dated & basic but new facilities are planned.

There is not really much within walking distance but the camp is very close to Devils Bridge, Aberystwyth & the local pub Druids Inn is only a 5 minute drive away. It has won awards but you need to book for a Saturday night if you want to eat. We arrived at 6pm & could not get a table (but it was bank holiday).

The tent field is also right next to the play area, this did not bother us & the owner did come out at 9pm & told a group of children to keep the noise down, so they do keep their eyes on things. The site itself is fine, my biggest problem was the noise at night from the road, boy racers, bikes, lorries & still going at 3am. If road noise does not bother you then you probably will not notice in but we live in a quiet cul de sac so bit of a shock to the system. If you are in a caravan, the fields are further away from the road so doubt it would be an issue. Very nice owners & with new toilet facilities, would be a good choice of site.

Hi just got back from a camping trip with the other half did the Friday to Sunday to miss the bank holiday rush hour. This was our first time camping and with what we got on the site was top marks. Priscilla met us on the site, made us feel very welcome and showed us where to setup the tent. Camping field was well sheltered which helped with the heavy winds from the valleys.

The toilet blocks/showers were very well kept and the hot water there was probably hotter than water in the cities. At the back of the site there is a green gate which leads to some woodlands, steep walk down but as soon as your down there, there is a nice walkway which our dog loved.

Aberstwyth is only a 20min drive with some beautiful scenery. In Aberstwyth there's a halfords and a millets if ever you need anything, but a guy in a shop told us of a place called Charlies which is cheaper then the 2. Devils bridge is well worth the trip with its views but is a very long and steap and tiring walk and that's coming from a 24 and 25 year old, but we are unfit.

Just returned home from a week at this lovely campsite. Owners were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay, with Bryn even organising for the football to be shown in the local hotel for my other half!

The campsite was clean and in a lovely location. Shower blocks are due to be updated this winter but are not too bad as they are with showers being warm and clean.

We (2 adults, 2 children) were in our tent on the main camping field with ehu. The only downside being that we were closer to the play area and road, but the noise only bothered us in the morning before we were ready to be woken.

The area couldn't have been better and having picked the rainiest week of the summer so far we found loads of things to do and see. We can highly recommend devils bridge and Aberystwyth town. Borth beach is also worth a visit as it is sandy and if you drive right to the end of it you will come across the sand dunes and nature park (we did this on our last day and only day of sun and it was a great way to finish off the holiday).

Overall I can highly recommend the area and the campsite, which we will certainly visit again.

A really lovely site! Really friendly owners and a very relaxed feel to the place.

Great site to use if exploring the stunning local area. Lovely hot (but not too hot) showers which are very welcome after a day in the hills, and they are FREE too! There is a little laundry room and washing up sink which has free hot water too!

There are shops and a hotel/pub a short drive away (or a longer stroll) to be able to get any bits and bobs you may have forgotten.

The site is undergoing some modernisation and it is looking great!

Highly recommend and will return!
