We've just returned from a fabulous 6 nights at Ewrbarfe Farm. This is a brilliant, family-friendly campsite with fantastic views. Our 2 young children had an amazing time playing with the other children on site and the owners' lovely boys. It was everything that camping should be! There's a play area for the kids and a large green open space for them to run around. The site is peaceful, well maintained and the facilities are first class!
There's a new, modern shower block that was always very clean and toasty warm. We were particularly impressed with the family shower room that made showering our grubby munchkins so much simpler!
The site is well located near Devil's Bridge and we were able to have some great family days out. We honestly cannot recommend this site enough. Thank you for a lovely holiday - we'll be back next year! :)

We stayed on this small site beginning of July. When we arrived at reception the park owners were friendly, helpful with lots of information given such as places to eat etc etc.
Yes, it's only a small site, but I liked that. The children had some swings and a slide to keep them occupied with lots of room to run around.
The best thing apart from the views was the new shower block! It was just fab, warm (warmer than the tent!), kept spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water.
Will be back.

Just left earlier from this beautiful but dirty site. Received a text on our drive up asking what time we would arrive but on arrival the reception was closed, eventually received a text telling us to pitch wherever. Whilst putting up the tent owner did come and find us to say hello and come pay when finished. The toilet block is very modern but I did not see anyone clean it whilst we were there (dirty bins, hair on the floor, stuff is like to not mention left in the loo for days. ). No signs for the bins. Camp field felt like an after though, very close pitches, camera on top of main house so felt very overlooked! Shame as the views are stunning but taken by the permanent residents on the site.

We arrived earlier than anticipated and there was no one to be found, it was around school finishing times and as we discovered the owner was out picking up the kids. We used the time to go into Aberystwyth (10 mile) and do some shopping.
On return we found the owner in the shop/reception (which apparently is open anytime the owner is there).
The site is well kept and very clean, it is mostly a static home site so you would expect this.
The amenities are very good, warm/clean showers and toilets. You didn't even have to take a scourer to the pot bash room as they are provided.
The only draw back I could see was that we were on a grass pitch and all four electric points were located at our pitch and would be some what inaccessible to others had they turned up without a really long hook up lead.
Nice little jaunt down the hill (1. 5 mile) to Devil's Bridge and it was well worth it.
Lovely view, especially sun down.
Great site.

Just spent 2 days at our favourite camp site. As usual the site was in pristine condition with beautifully prepared pitches and the new amenities block up and running. This amenities block deserves a review of it's own. It has cost the owners an arm and a leg and has taken some time to complete but it is a first class building and was well worth the wait. I personally had no problems with the old block as I believe that when you're camping, a bit of 'roughing it' should apply! However, it seemed to be the main focus of moans and complaints about this park - well not any more! Another complaint seems to be the shop ie it's not really a shop! Some people won't be satisfied unless there is a supermarket on-site! Aberystwyth is only about 20 mins away and there is a shop at Ponterwyd Service Station ( 1 mile down the road.
This site has limited playthings for children - swing, slide, sandpit - another common complaint - take your kids to Butlins/Alton Towers etc if they need more than that. The site is next to a working farm so lots of farmie noises etc the site gets lots of Red Kites over it (also regular flights of fighter jets, Chinooks and Hercules aircraft - fantastic site to see theses planes at low level) and the Cuckoo's were cuckooing like mad at this time of year!
We'll be back in the summer with our Grand-daughter and are already looking forward to it! Keep up the great work Bryn and Priscila!

We won't be going back! Here's why:
On arrival at 4. 30pm the 'shop/reception' was locked up and nobody was around. Luckily a resident of a seasonal pitch spotted us and got the owner from a static nearby. We were told we could pitch wherever, but were left to our own devices to find water, waste disposal etc. Hook ups were easily accessible. In fact the whole time we were there the owners were pretty scarce, which was fine unless you had a problem. I wouldn't call the shop a shop either. Just a few sweets and an ice lolly freezer - nothing like a typical site shop. The camping field feels like the owners back garden as its quite a small touring field in close proximity and overlooked by the house.
Whilst the surroundings were beautiful we came home early because I couldn't stand the filthy toilets/showed any longer. They were not cleaned the whole 6 days we were there - the sinks were covered in dead insects including particularly distinctive large ones which is how I could tell they hadn't been as much as wiped over even. The same litter remained in the floor all week and as for the showers! The walls of the cubicle I went in we're covered in other people's hair, the plug hole was completely gunked up with hair and sludge and the tray was filthy and had a thick layer of grit/silt. When I turned the shower on the tray began to fill with disgusting brown water as all the dirt and gunk from the tray and pipes raised into the water. There was a big sign forbidding you to wash dogs in the shower but to be honest I wouldn't even put my dog in it if I had one! The men's were exactly the same. It's a very old and cold block with lots of mould and crumbling walls and open plumbing and it needs pulling down or a severe facelift. In fact just being cleaned daily would have helped. There is work being carried out to install a brand new facilities block so this should improve things. The new block is also going to be situated much closer to the touring field which will be a big improvement as the current delapidated block is the furthest it could be from the tourer field (amongst the statics).
The laundry/pot wash room was clean and tidy - looked unused to be honest.
There was a children's climbing frame and slide which my kids enjoyed and a bit of green space to run about on. It's not totally flat though and when it's busy I can't imagine there's much room as the playing field is the same space as the camping field. I'd be worried about my car/unit being damaged if it was busy with lots of kids and campers.
As mentioned earlier, the surrounding area is beautiful and it's not too far from the coast either. This comes at the cost of no network coverage or phone signal until you are around 5/6 miles up the main road away from the campsite - we are on O2 so it may be different for other networks.
We will go back to this area but will find a different site.

Wonderful site if you are with children. The owners couldn't do enough for you, very friendly and helpful. Very quiet during the day but can very noisy at night with children playing don't get me wrong I don't mind children playing but when the football keeps getting kicked at the caravan it can be quite annoying. The touring pitch is on the playing field which is were the children play. The new toilet block isn't finished yet but that didn't worry us. There is a lovely shop on site which sells the most amazing honey. Overall lovely site quiet during the day and again later on after the children had gone to sleep wonderful views but be warned there is no TV signal but that makes it for a quiet holiday.

Me and a group of friends came here earlier this year to watch the solar eclipse. We only stayed the one night.
The site was easy enough to find but the sat nav did take us to a church that is just before it but on the same road.
The site itself is very well maintained, we pulled up to the house and was greeted by the owners who were very friendly welcoming and helpful. They showed us the field that is marked up for tents and the car park next to it to leave our cars. The field for tents is very small with the site mainly geared up for tourers and had many seasonal pitches. I don't know how many tents they have pitches for but we had four tents between our group and this took up a third of the field. The ground was level and easy to pitch on.
The site has a small shop selling everyday stuff, milk, bread, spare gas etc. You can also get the wifi code from the shop too.
They also have camping pods of let too on the top field, You would have to visit their site for more information.
The toilet block and showers were at the bottom of the field and were kept clean.
We were allowed a fire off the ground but they don't sell firewood on site so bring your own.
The site is close to a fast road but the noise wasn't too bad, We watched fighter jets and birds of prey till sunset. The views are amazing from this site. It was well worth the three hour drive. Only problem we had is that the site has lights dotted about and this ruined the nights sky and did shine through our tents. There are trees bordering the field and we should have camped behind them.
The site was very quiet but it was the start of the season and temperatures did reach -6. The coldest camping I've ever done!
I didn't see if there was a playground for kids but the site did look a very clean and safe place for kids to run around in.
The site is about ten minutes from devils bridge. If you stay here you must go and visit. It was £4 each to go inside and well worth it.
I'd like to go to the site again but in summer! If your into cars you must ask the owner about his Ford Capri. Its a stunner!

We stayed in August this year, yes having read previously the reviews of the toilet block. Ok, so it is old and needs updating (there is one being built) but to be fair I found the showers always hot and powerful which is a big bonus! They were clean when I used them, ok the floor was wet on some days but it did pour down while we were there!
The site itself is beautifully kept, and the views are wonderful. Nice little shop with essentials that you need and the owners were very welcoming and to be fair they are aware of the downside of the old block but they are trying to put this right. Plus you can't complain at the price which is so reasonable.
I will definitely go back.

This campsite is lovely, well kept and the owners are really friendly. We arrived late and the owner came out to greet us, made us feel very welcome and gave us a choice of pitches. At one end of site are the statics and at the top end, mobile, campervans and tents. Nice pitches, although some are on a slight slope. It was about 20 mins to nearest town and had fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. There is one big negative about this site which has been mentioned on a number of occasions. The toilet block ! Yes it is old but its worse than that, its dirty, dead flies, spiders and god knows what else everywhere, tissue and (same rubbish) on the floor for the two days we stayed, then the shower, there was that much hair in the plug hole the water was extremely slow to flow away, this was not a pleasant experience. My partner spoke to owners who said they only work on new block in the winter so I have doubts it will be finished this year. This is such a shame because apart form this it truly is a great site. I would only return if shower block is completed and open. Come on get that new toilet block finished please
