Just had a wonderful week at this campsite. Yet another beautiful part of Wales, great if you love walking or mountain biking, or just want fantastic scenery, Red Kites frequently fly over the site. The Owners Priscilla and Bryn were very friendly, and helpful. As in previous reviews- yes the toilets, showers were basic but sufficient with powerful hot showers.
There are no supermarkets nearby (nearest Aberystwyth)but a couple of shops selling basic amenities a short drive away. This would not put me off visiting again, I'd just take more of what I needed with me. There is basic Bar/pub meals in Devilsbridge and a couple of really nice places to eat if you wish to travel further afield (15 mins), Priscilla has all the information if you need it. Our 8 year old daughter enjoyed riding her bike on the site and playing on the play area.
A lot of the touring pitches seem to be taken up by seasonal tourers, proof that people really like this site, but I just hope there will always be room for tourers like ourselves, there is plenty of room for tents and plenty of hook ups. On the whole a very reasonably priced site in a lovely setting.

My wife and I (and 2 dogs) have just returned from a week's (sunny!) holiday at this site. We loved it and will certainly return next year.
We were made very welcome by the owners of this family run site - Priscilla and Bryn (and their 2 little boys). The 'resident' static caravan owners were also very friendly and chatty.
Although the toilet blocks were very basic (but clean), the showers themselves had plenty of hot water and good water pressure, which, to us, made up for the basic condition of the building.
The owners advised us that they've taken over this site in the last year or so from Priscilla's parents and they have plans to replace the older toilet block with a new toilet/shower block, together with dishwashing facilities. This, together with selling basic provisions, will make this a really great little site.
We didn't travel around the area a lot (though we had to travel into Aberystwyth a couple of times to stock up on groceries) as all we wanted was a relaxing, peaceful break and we certainly got what we wanted. The scenery and the red kites were fantastic.
There was a good secure area behind the static caravans where the dogs could be walked and let off the lead to run around.
I went fishing at Dinas Lake (my first attempt at trout fishing) and managed to catch an 8.25lb trout!
Would definitely recommend this site.

Lovely scenary and made to feel very welcome on this relatively small site on busy bank holiday weekend. Our pitch was flat and gave us excellent views across the valley. Our biggest critism I suppose was the toilets / showers very basic and certainly could do with a face lift. One was a portacabin which was a bit smelly and wet and the other an old brick style building. This was ok but old and water for shower was cold when I tried it but woke me up. Lovely position for surrounding area and to see the red kites flying was extra special. Farm opposite the road gave it an extra rural feel with cows and sheep crossing the road. This could be a wonderful site if the showers were updated and a small shop would be useful. But in saying that we would return but because of the showers not for longer than a few days.

Great little site. A bit basic - (small toilet block but very clean) but that's what I like. Ideal for fishing in Dinas reservoir well stocked reservoir with rainbows and some browns - about 2 miles drive. Good pub nearby - the George borrow hotel. Good flat site but can get / feel crowded when more than 3 tents but overall a good site

We have just returned from a lovely bank holiday long weekend at this site. We found it very easily and it is in a stunning location. It's in the midst of the valleys and mountains hence no mobile phone signal which was hard to get used to at first but became one of the highlights of the holiday! There are 2 toilet blocks, one with showers which are basic but showers are nice and hot. There is a laundry room which is good but not really adequate washing up facilities. At the top of the hill there is a playing area for kids with swings, slides and see saw which kept our two entertained from first thing in the morning until it was too dark to see them! There is a shop, hotel and tea room about a mile away but most of the people on the site were fully prepared campers and had all the provisions they needed. It is definitely worth a trip to the Three Bridges in Devils Bridge. It is a very steep descent to the bottom of the waterfall but well worth it when you get there. Also, the feeding of the Red Kites just down the road is a wonderful experience. If you like a very commercialised site with 5 star facilities this may not be for you but if you want a totally relaxing and friendly site this was excellent and we will be going back. When you get there make sure you find Big Ray, the unofficial site supervisor - he is so helpful and knowledgeable we don't know what we'd have done without him!

Very friendly, good facilities, though phonebox taken out, and unable to get o2 signal. Had to go to Ponterwyd to make calls. Was the only one on top field for four days, nice and quiet even though by road, but be warned walking the mile to the pub at devils bridge not recommended at night, heavy lorries, motorbikes and Aberystwyths' boy racers seem to make a race track out of this route, and there are no footpaths by the roadside.

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Erwbarfe Farm Caravan Park this Summer. We loved it! The camp site was well laid out in a beautiful spot in. The facilities were well placed, clean and modern. The park is located perfectly for trips to nearby towns and sites but still be far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet and birds (great bird spotting!) We got some great reccommendations for local restuarants/ pubs and sites from Gwyn and co - all who are lovely. A great caravan/ camping tent. Well worth a visit to this lovely spot!

June 2005 We visited the Erwbarfe Caravan Park in June and you couldn’t ask for more. The location is perfect for a peaceful holiday in the Welsh countryside, yet it’s only a short drive from Aberystwyth and the Devil’s Falls, which are a must to visit!
The scenery is spectacular, the locals couldn’t be friendlier and there is wildlife in abundance with Red Kites circling high in the sky above.
Gwynn, Beatrice, Priscilla and Bryn were always on hand if we needed anything and we are already planning our holiday there next year. If you are thinking of going to Wales, I would definitely recommend staying here.
