A very friendly and welcoming site in a stunning location!

The new owners are evidently working hard to improve the site all the time, whilst keeping its peaceful and calm nature.

Just been moved to the new group section which is an excellent addition for groups, schools, etc.

Showers are very nice, very welcome after a day out on the hills.

Looking forward to a new toilet block and other facilities being added, however, the site is well worth a visit as it is.

Was looking tired and stale a few years ago, but is alive, well kept and improving subtly all the time.

Great value and very pleasant! Highly recommended.

Rang the day before to see if any vacancies. Arrived the next morning and paid fees to then be told a group of Duke of Edinburgh kids would be arriving the next day approx 10 tents. If we had been informed of this would definitely have chosen somewhere else.

We were not told where the facilities were and so we found a tap attached to a pipe which was just laid over a fence, still don't know if it was the water supply. Found the toilet block which was in need of modernisation. The floor was covered in tissue and there were dead moths in the shower tray. My husband asked me if our loos were as untidy as his. The next morning the tissue was still on the floor, but when we came back from a trip to Aberystwyth, the floor had been cleaned but the moths were still there.

The kids were quite noisy but I think they were just excited and I don't blame them, would have been better if bookings hadnt been taken when they were there.

Was woken up early next morning by their leader shouting 'wakey, wakey!' Packed up straight away and travelled back up to North Wales. Definitely will not be going again.

My husband and I camped on this site for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay, the scenery is outstanding with beautiful views. The campsite is a friendly place and quiet on the evenings. The owners Priscilla and Bryn were very helpful when we got there out electric hook up wouldn't work but Bryn lent us one of his which was very nice of him.

Devils bridge is just down the road which has beautiful veiws of the waterfalls but wear proper shoes as it involves a bit of walking on rough ground, aberstwyth is about 20min drive along the stunning views its an ok town but if you head to a place called Borth this is a beautiful place with lovely sandy beaches which you can take you dog on also.

All in all we had a lovely time and would go back to the campsite again

Definitely pay this site a visit if you're looking for outstanding scenery; it is an absolutely beautiful area!

The site is in a lovely location, 20 minutes away from Aberystwyth, with many places of interest worth visiting close by; Devils Bridge itself is stunning, with some fantastic walks. There's a garage selling basic provisions about 2.5 miles away, and a pub in the same place, (but can't comment on as we didn't go in).

We received a very warm welcome on arrival, and found the hosts very attentive throughout our stay. The site was quite busy at the time of our visit, which was half term, so there were lots of families staying with lively children and a few dogs, including our own, making for a buzzing atmosphere.

There's a pretty good playground with swings, slide, see-saw and climbing frame, and space for footy or any other games. I found there was a good mix of static and touring caravans, and tent pitches, with none of the snobbery often found at some mixed sites.

The only let down at this site is the dated toilet and shower facilities, which I heard are due to be renovated soon. There's a handy toilet block at one end of the site, and showers and toilets at the other. Two showers each for ladies and gents with 'swimming pool' type showers, which to be fair, are nice and hot, and free! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely visit again!

This is a lovely site very friendly and in a beautiful area. There's a pair of red kite's flying above the site, the area is great for walking we particularly liked nant y moch and Haford estate. There is a great walk into Devils bridge which starts from the church just beware it goes up and down three valleys before getting there but it's well worth the walk.

There's not much space left between caravans you do feel a little crammed in, and the poor old toilet/shower block is just too small for a site of this size, yes the showers are hot very hot in fact too hot for little kids.

This does let it down otherwise I would happily say this site is perfect for everyone.

We will be going back to this site it is nice but could be better.

Very friendly site with stunning views and great walks. New showers are on their way, but the present ones are good enough and very warm and FREE

There's loads of room lots of spacious pitches and hardstanding, mainly taken by seasonals. Peaceful and great for stargazing.

20 minutes to Aberystwyth and Borth. 5 mins to nant y arian and the spectacular kite feeding.

Site residents are helpful and will tell you the best places to visit, I'm thinking of staying for good.

we arrived on a wet novenber day. The owners both came to welcome us on arrival. A very nice change from other sites. Reading other reviews who say the toilets need modernising yes but Bryn and prescela who have only recently taken over from her family and are very aware and hope to complete this work in 2010.

We loved the site that much we have booked a summer seasonal pitch for next year. This site is excellent value for money. You can not better the views from the site. Kevin and Sheila and Bonney our dog would like more rabbits.

Just goes to shows you cannot please everybody?.

Excellent campsite with very helpful and friendly owners. Large pitch which was very reasonably priced. Great play area for kids with slides, swings etc., Site is well looked after and clean.

The toilets and showers are ok, plenty of hot water, could do with a new block nearer the touring field but it is not that far.

Very quiet campsite, lots of caravans which were there for the season but plenty of room for tents.

Would stay at this site again.

I stayed here for a night to do some walking in the area. The toilet/shower block was pretty run down and in need of renovation, and the washing up area was a single sink in an old portacabin. These were both situated at the other side of the site to the area for pitching tents. The tent area was flat and well kept, but right next to the road and the children's playground, so it wasn't exactly peaceful. It was a short drive down the road to Devil's Bridge, where there were a couple of shops, but the pub/hotel there had very little atmosphere.

Had a wonderful time at this little gem of a site.

There is a play area for the children.

The showers (free)/washing up area/laundry and toilets are adequate and cleaned regularly and there is plenty of free hot water.

The site is close to Devil's Bridge and Aberystwyth so a great base to go touring from.

There is no club house so this makes for a very peaceful holiday (if that's what you are looking for).

The best thing for us was that they love having families on the site and they catered for our very large tent (Outwell Maryland XL), at no extra cost, unlike other sites who either charge for a double pitch or their pitch sizes are not big enough in the first place.

The owners go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible and help in any way they can.

We enjoyed it so much we are going back in July and have recommended it to all our friends. The costs are very reasonable and its well worth a visit.
