Got a warm welcome and were shown to our pitch with a smile. A lovely site in rural Devon, with wall to wall countryside, but close enough to walk (20mins) to the beach in Exmouth.

A short walk in the opposite direction to Littlham village and a nice pub.

The shower/toilet facilities were basic, but clean and always plenty of hot water. A small covered washing-up area and a BBQ area were nice touches.

A smallish site for tents, caravans, Motorhomes and camper vans, most with EHU. One small criticism is that the pitches were very close together and not level.

On the whole a very enjoyable 5 days.

In a nice location near the coast, not far off NCN Cycle Route 2 which I was following for a couple of days. Not a large site, a mix of motorhomes and tents.

Toilets and showers were fine, nice and clean, if not particularly new. Can't comment on the solar showers, hadn't cycled enough to need one!

Did me fine for one night, recommended for cycle touring. Lovely cycle route along old railway line to Budleigh Salterton.

Just had to let people know what an excellent, friendly and clean site this is. My club stayed this weekend, in the orchard site, which was offered by the owners, Frank and his wife.

Was really impressed with everything, they even came out on the Saturday afternoon offering us a fire pit for the evening.

Speaking to some of the other tourists on site and it seems we were the only new ones. All the rest had visited before and always come back. I think that says it all!

The site owner made us welcome from the moment we arrived. As a largish group of 8 in tents we requested - and were given - a corner away from the motor homes. (still busy site even late September)

The owner then provided us with not only power but a light. This simple act transformed our weekend which was split between being in town, walking the coastal path or socialising under our gazebo. The fact we were allowed a firepit was the icing on the cake.

Exmouth was a ten minute (£5) taxi away, locally (ten minute walk) there was a restaurant and (now open again) Clinton Arms serving ales and food.

The campsite facilities were excellent with a small shop for necessities. The toilets and showers were the best we had seen with free hot water always 'on tap'.

As a group we have visited different places each year for the last 10 years but we would have no qualms whatsoever about going back to this site. Well done and thanks again from all of us.

I booked this Site the day before for a tent pitch and was accommodated.

This is a Lovely little site in a rural location down a Country Lane and on a Farm and only a mile down a Hill to the lovely beach at Exmouth, with the towns facilities a little further away.

The Site has a small shop as well as a Freezer to store Ice blocks, an area to wash up and a BBQ area as well as a nice clean Shower and Toilet block.

The Site was occupied by a mix of Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents and families were accepted.

I was more than happy with this site, the Price was very reasonable and I will definitely return

The site is located in a field, as such there are no hardstandings, which may cause problems in very wet weather (getting out).

When you book you are given another postcode to follow to get to the site. Use it, as the other way to approach the site along Maer Lane is narrower for longer. The pub down the road is shut (Clinton Arms) but there is another establishment where one can get meals.

The site is very pleasant, but the pitches could be small in peak season. The toilets are lovely and clean and have a disabled one as well. Bbq's seem to be provided. There is small washup and a freezer for camper's use. Electric hookups are close to the pitches. The site is gated as there are cows in the next field.

Paper shop and fish and chips are about 3/4 mile away.

The lady who runs it (Pam) is very nice and approachable.

There seemed to be some small things for children to play with, but there was no playpark and the site may not be ideal for children.

We would certainly go again.

We chose this site purely for location as we were celebrating a special birthday and wanted to be close to exmouth.

It was a lovely little site. The toilet/ shower facilities are basic but clean and we always had a hot shower. It was fairly busy the weekend we were there as there was a small motorbike rally. But they were fairly quiet, didn't bother us at all. We had 2 pitches next to each other so we had plenty of room.

Booking communications beforehand were good, quick response by email which was great.

We had a good meal in the local pub who were very accommodating.

As something to do I would recommend the ferry from exmouth to starcross, then train down to teignmouth. Then come back from teignmouth all the way to exmouth by train. It's a great day out and the views of the exe river from the train are lovely.

We would definitely go back, location was great.

Very nice site, nice and quiet, showers and toilet very clean, nice little site shop

Mary the site manager very helpful

Nearby pub and beach quite close be better off driving, as the lane is narrow and unsuitable for walking to beach

Some toys are available for children to play with, we went in September it was nice and quiet

Free bbq stands are available to use and a free bbq area is situated in the corner of the site

We really enjoyed it and would definitely go again

We read all the reviews prior to booking and although we noted from Google Earth that the site is near the sewage works the reviews seemed to suggest that it was not a problem. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. The smell was overpowering, and as it had been raining heavily the site was very muddy; the mud also smelled terrible which meant that our tent needed to be aired at all times otherwise the smell inside was too strong.

When the wind was in a different direction the smell disappeared, but sadly the prevailing wind was not in our favour, and was not blowing when we pitched otherwise we would have looked elsewhere!

I understand that it's not Mary's fault, but it did spoil the trip for us.

On the positives, it's a picturesque location and very quiet, and there's room for the children to play, however the pitches are very small (the caravan next to us was 18 inches from our tent walls) so cars have to be parked in front which means you sit outside your tent looking at your car, and the cars are in the way for ball games.

The toilets/showers and washing up facilities are good though (very clean and plenty of hot water), great eco credentials (recycling, solar showers) and Mary is lovely and very helpful.

There were several families there who had happily booked for a second holiday, but sadly we won't be going back.

This was our first experience of a small campsite, but as this is our first year of camping we are giving everything a go!

We managed to get down the single track access without meeting anything, which was great and were shown to a clump of 3 pitches. Mary apologised about the wetness of the pitch due to the weather, but they were OK and we chose the driest.

The site was never full while we were there, so it always seemed like we had a lot of space. Even if it does get full, I don't think it would feel cramped.

It was lovely for the children to just be able to play without traffic. The washrooms were perfectly adequate, and there was always warm water when I went.

There is a small shop but she doesn't stock bread or butter, but there is a lidl and a tesco handy, as well as the shops in Exmouth.

We were hoping that we could walk to the beach and the children cycle, but the road was quite narrow, bendy and with high hedges so I didn't think they would be safe (they are 5 and 3) so we went in the car. It is a lovely beach, although you pay £1 per hour to park.

Exmouth itself is nice, as is Exeter. We used the swimming pool in Exmouth, which is a large pool and a small todller pool, both of which were fine. On our second visit though (wet morning) we couldn't get in as it was full, which was annoying as we had already paid to park.

The Country Life Park up the raod was an excellent day out - we spent all day there are there is plenty to do regardless of the weather.

The weather did deteriorate during the week, and there was some heavy rain, and the ground under our tent got quite waterlogged. This was the only downside really. If we have been staying longer we might have had to move, but it wasn't something we couldn't live with for a couple of days.

One word of warning - out satnav wanted to take us the scenic route, which we ignored and followed the site directions. Glad we did because I did that route on my way back from Exeter and it involves several miles of hilly, single track roads - would not want to be doing it with a trailer on tow.

All in all, we enjoyed the site and the location, and it is excellent value for money. We would go back.
