Wonderful site between to Leominster and Ludlow, excellent new toilet facilities, wonderful views over the countryside. A very well run site with friendly people running it. We were in the area to visit National Trust Properties and we found three excellent ones, Croft Castle, Berrington Hall and Brockhampton Court

Our 4th year in 5 at this camp site and you'd struggle to find a better one out there, I know we haven't!
Everything you read on this camp site is true, it's a fantastic site, and we all love coming here.
The facilities match the views - just brilliant!
Thanks Dawn and the team again and see you next year.

(Couple - late 40's/early 50's - look for peace, quiet and tranquillity, but with a few mod cons).
Stayed Fri 29/11 to Sun 1/12
Booking (by 'phone) was a doddle. Polite, professional, and welcoming. Told to arrive at our leisure (No 'After 12' or such like!) and help ourselves to whatever available pitch took our fancy. 'Then pop in reception on the following morning, to settle the bill'!
To say it was peaceful is an understatement! 3 or 4 caravans were pitched up awaiting occupants, but apart from that, we had the first night to ourselves! :-)
There's no list of rules posted everywhere, telling mature adults how to behave. And nobody coming round checking that you are (behaving)! It is clear where reception is, and when it's open, and it's easy to get hold of the owner if you need her, but if you don't (need her), you are left in peace.
Grass was lush, green, short and tidy. The flattest pitch we have ever plonked our tent on, and rural views that go on considerably a lot further than these eyes can focus on!
The shower blocks were spotless, modern, and heated. The showers themselves were spacious, with plenty of hanging hooks. And free hot water. And no timer buttons to keep pressing in!
The Utility room had all you needed. And more. Washing up sinks, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, notice board/tourist info/leaflets. And complimentary tea making facilities. All kept impeccably clean and tidy. But not so you were frightened to use it!
An easy drive into Ludlow gave us a perfect way to while away a rather warm and sunny winter Saturday at our preferred pace (somewhere between ambling and strolling!)
Negatives?
1- Slight problem with the electrics when we tried to hook up. A fuse, or some such? A very nice man with a screwdriver was summoned, and had it sorted within 20 mins, with no further problems for the rest of the weekend. Negative negated!
2 - Road noise. It's a village, on a B road, so no juggernauts, but sounds like it's used as a rat run? Not enough to spoil our weekend, and as for bed time, one of us removes her hearing aids, and one of us puts in ear plugs! Negative negated!
3- Not sure if 2 x showers, 2 x WC's, 2 x urinals and 2 sinks (In the gents. Similar numbers in ladies, apparently) would cope in the height of summer, with a full site. Having said that, we've been to a slightly smaller site, with only one of everything for each gender, which coped fine, so. Negative postponed. Further investigation required! :-)
All in all, we got what we wanted. Peace and privacy, on an excellent camp site, in an excellent location, with excellent views and amenities, ran by excellent camp site owner(s). On an excellent winter weekend, weather-wise!
Our mission is to find out what it's like in the busier summer months. So we'll just have to go back!
And go back we will!

Pleasure to discover we had so much space after a nightmare Bank Holiday journey. The site is quite small but provides you with a chilled feel as you're not packed into a tiny area. The views are amazing, beautiful countryside all around and spectacular views over to the Black Mountains. The sky at night provided me with some stunning photography opportunities.
In the middle of our field is a beautiful old oak tree providing lots of fun for the children to climb/sit on. There isn't a playground for the children but as tents/caravans are arranged around the edge of the field there is plenty of room to play frisbee/ball games or just simply let them run free. The lack of a playground seemed quite a positive to me as it gave our 2 children and the other children they made friends with a chance to make up games and play all together like the good old days of the 70s/80s lol!
The facilities were very modern and exceptionally clean at all times. The showers were powerful and best of all stayed on no need to keep pressing any knobs! There are little touches all around the site, from non slip mats for the showers/hand lotions/sanitary items (obviously I only know about the ladies but I'm sure the gents were equally good!) Never have I come across a site that provides you with such a fantastic Utility Room with complimentary tea and coffee - including use of an electric kettle for a quick emergency brew! There were books and games to borrow and full use of a fridge/freezer too.
In the Reception Area you can find eggs from the farms chickens and local honey too. A shame we had to cut our 3 nights down to 2 nights but definitely a great site to keep on our list!
Ludlow is a real treat, beautiful buildings abound and lots of independent shops to mooch in a Castle to! We ate in the Rose & Crown in Ludlow the food portions were huge and all home cooked - no deep fried yukiness here! So nice too order children's meal that did not consist of a choice of pasta or nuggets!
We would have liked to visit Leominster but unfortunately most places appear to close on a Sunday. I think if we had realised this we would have been more prepared with a plan of action.
All in all this little site is looked after very well, this can be shown in the number of regulars that appeared while we were there.
Oooh I would like to mention before I sign off - fabulous Fish & Chip shop in Leominster opposite the garage by the crossroads!

WOW what a wonderful campsite, attention to detail is superb. Spotlessly clean throughout our long weekend stay. Dawn was really helpful and all staff pleasant. The use of the utility room really improved our stay, to have complimentary tea and coffee whilst still erecting the tent was wonderful and the use of a fridge/freezer a godsend, never mind the microwave! Board games and books too. Not forgetting the free fresh mint to add to your potatoes. We were a family with teenagers and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The short walk through fields to the local pub was very easy and pleasant. Leominster and Ludlow lovely will definitely return to see more. Toilets and shower block really good even down to a fresh vase of flowers and complimentary items. Even though the campsite was full on our first night and we were the closest pitch to the facilities we did not get disturbed or be subject to noise, really friendly site. Would definitely recommend. Only downside for us was the local shop was in the church which didn't have long opening hours so really had to use car for shopping but that is a very small downside, if we had gone more 'food prepared' it wouldn't have been a downside. Excellent site.

Wow! What a fabulous site!
This is one, if not the best sites we have been to. The site is divided 3 areas for caravans/motor home and a smaller area for tents.
The views from wherever you are pitched are magnificent, with mile after mile of rolling countryside.
We were in the ‘Oak’ field and as the name suggests, it’s dominated by a magnificent oak tree in the centre of the field. It provided welcome shade on one of the hottest days so far! All the pitches are level and well spaced apart and the grass well kept.
The facilities are superb - free showers, very clean toilet block, and well stocked information room; use of fridge/freezer, complimentary tea/coffee, utility room and wash up area.
We used free view and received all channels and mobile phone (02) signal was fine too.
There is a walk across 2/3 fields down to the pretty village of Yarpole, which takes only 10 -15 minutes, alternatively you can take the lane next to the site. In the village there is the The Bell, a lovely 16th Century black and white inn that does excellent food and allows dogs on leads.
While in Yarpole, do visit the shop in the church! It is well stocked with local produce, newspapers and also has a lovely little café!
Nearby are two National Trust sites - Croft Castle and Berrington Hall both well worth a visit.
All in all, this was a very laid back and peaceful site and I would highly recommend visiting – we are looking forward to returning soon.
PS the site now takes debit cards

Just come back from a week at Home Farm and the weather was pretty awful but despite this we enjoyed ourselves on this wonderful campsite.
The pitches here were large enough to take our Folding Camper and the car by the side and still be some distance from neighbouring caravans.
The facilities are some of the best we have seen on any previous site we have stayed on and you are assured of the best welcome ever from the very friendly staff.
Being a working farm it was great to get fresh eggs from reception.
Our little dog loved the walks around the fields and lovely local villages, if I had to be really critical there was very little for children to do on site but that was not a problem for us.
Can't wait to go back to Home Farm when the weather improves!

We were lucky enough to be the only tent up in the tent field. The views were fantastic, and the dark skies glorious!
The site is very well run with check in between 10am-12pm 6 days a week.
The shower and loo block were immaculately clean, and we had plenty of hot water!
The 'utility room' has a fridge/freezer, and two sinks, and information on the surrounding area.
I even took some of the hand-picked mint in a jar marked 'help yourself' to go in my cup of peppermint tea!
Superb walks around, and our little furry friend had a great time too.
7 miles to Ludlow which shouldn't be missed, 5 miles to Leominster. We had a very good lunch at The Boot in Orleton.
We will be back soon, next time with kids in tow!

WOW. What a superb site! We woke each morning of a two week stay to stunning and timeless panoramic views across the best of British countryside, quite breathtaking with black and whites nestling at random. There are acres of surrounding fields on site for dog walks to fully absorb the views and our lab Darcy just loved it! There's comfortable spaces between fully serviced pitches and being elevated, our freeview collected the 'full monty' of tv channels! The heated shower rooms were to a high standard with attention to detail the order of the day including fresh flowers. It's on a working farm and the highly industrious owner Dawn and her team including her border colly Jet manage the site very efficiently. Must be among the best sites in the UK.
The Bell Inn locally is cosy pub at a cost but the best value might be found in nearby Leominster, a 10 minute drive or so away. Wetherspoons offer very acceptable meals (any 2 from a choice of four with a drink for £7. 29) plus a full menu all at attractive prices and as a drinks price benchmark, a pint of John Smith's is £2. 25 and a normal glass of Merlot the same. There's also an assortment Real Ale pubs to chose from and The Blue Note proved very friendly with some interesting local characters!
We hope to make Home Farm a regular feature in our travel plans, it was a great experience.

Just returned from a long weekend spent at this site and was not too impressed. I felt that the charge levied for electric hookup was more than I have ever paid before, but, it was Bank Holiday so I went with it. On arrival the site appeared very nice if a little wet due to the recent weather. During my stay we lost power 4/5 times and due to cost this was something I was very disappointed with. When we phoned the first time the response was courteous, but not quite so courteous on later occasions. The showers were always clean and well kept if not always hot, as we found on two mornings, and not heated. With it being Bank Holiday the pitches were allocated, it seemed a little silly to allocate pitches for couples in the field with the only entertainment for children ' a rope swing in a tree' and family pitches in a separate field altogether. I don't want to appear to be against children, but when the only apparatus for their enjoyment is 20 feet from my caravan it can be a bit much.
