This was our 3rd visit to Home Farm and once again we weren't disappointed. We were part of a group of friends (8 adults, 6 kids and 1 dog) & everyone was amazed at the luxurious facilities.
We took our 11 week old baby & the new kitchen / toilet block made things so much easier for me - the microwave and fridge were just perfect for washing up, sterilising bottles and storing food & milk etc.
Croft Castle (5 mins down the road) has a FAB play area for the kids, although the walled veg garden was a big disappointment. Good NT food, as usual tho!
Dawn has really made this site fabulous; can't wait for the next trip in May '10 - only hope the weather is as beautiful as during the last 3 trips!

Spent one night here on way back from south west. The fees are £10 for up to three in a motorhome and an extra pound for each extra person. The elec is £3.50 a night but we didn't have any but we had to pay an extra £2 for single night supplement.
Probably some of the best toilets ever been in - all nice individual cubicles and free stuff in the toilets and showers.
If you are in this area I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site - it's an absolute bargain. You can buy six free range eggs for £1.50 (that's dear). Recycling is fantastic and there are complimentary teas, coffee, fridge and freezer.

We've visited Home Farm quite a few times now as it's an ideal location for the odd weekend break for us (being about an hour drive from the Midlands).
Home Farm is in a beautiful location between Ludlow and Leominster with stunning views out across open fields. All pitches are very generous, with no 'stuffy nonsence' on how visitors should pitch. There are several large fields plus facilities for camping. Mainly level, but those who need to be specifically near the amenities should be prepared to use levellers. Electric hook-up to all pitches, but sockets are a distance from one or two pitches, so longer power cables may be needed. Enough water and waste oulets dotted around, plus chemical disposal point.
The toilet and showers facilities are spotless, having been recently over-hauled to an excellent standard.
The site is in easy walking distance of the local villages, plus Croft Castle which is about 40mins walk away (a couple of mile by car).
Overall a brilliant site, nice and peaceful. There's no club/bar on site, neither is there a shop but there are enough local facilities anyway. There's no playpark on site either, but somehow the kids seem to find enough to explore.
Well recommended.

Booked for 2 nights at home Farm 28th to 30th, there was 5 of us which included my sister in law and her daughter, in a Montana 6 (this trip was to give them a taste of the camping life). We couldn't have picked better weather, on arrival we were shown our pitch which was close to the amenities due to my disability, the pitch was a very generous size, flat on well looked after grass. The amenities were very clean 2 toilets / showers / sinks in the gents and similar in the ladies. Plenty of hot water, in the kitchen area they provided fridge / freezer, microwave, kettle and tea bags, what a good idea (I topped up the tea bag tin before we left). The site was quiet even though it looked full with some stunning views. The Bateman Arms at Shobdon was a good find, well kept ale (Hobgoblin) the food was very good and reasonably priced also try the Maidenhead at Orleton. We will be returning to this site and would have no hesitation of recommending the site to anyone who enjoys the countryside

Just returned from 4 days on this superb site, we have camped for a number of years and this site has got to be in the top 5. Location, scenery, toilet & shower facilities spotless plus the added bonus of microwave, fridge/freezer and complimentary tea for the tents. Also even though it was the May Bank Holiday weekend and the site was full everyone was given a HUGE pitch so on this site the customer always does come first.
Dawn is a the first class owner/manager/administrator/gardener etc, etc of this site and always finds the time for a little smile and a chat.
We will definitely will recommend this site and will be returning in the near future.

Other reviews are all correct - this is a super site. Just 2 comments.
1. Watch the price list. The headline cost (currently £10) looks low but when you add on the extras it goes up sharply especially the £2 supplement for one night only. Still good value though.
2. There is no motorhome grey water disposal facility.
Now open all year.

We visited this site last year whilst the shower block being built. Just returned and they are lovely.
The views from this site are lovely too and the other visitors to the site are so friendly.
Jet still loves to see who he can play ball with.
Will be back again very soon we hope.

Wonderful friendly site with wonderful views. Snowy made very welcome. Jet the site owners dog and their hens very friendly. One of the hens decided she wanted to see inside our campervan.
Made second visit later in 2007 and still as wonderful. Must have more of Dawn's free range eggs.
Felt as if we had been going to the site for years.
Came home feeling so relaxed.

Our second stay was even better than our first! I love this site. Visited with parents who usually only stay on CC sites - they were amazed at how neat and tidy the site was. It is so quiet & the views are fabulous. This time we took the dog, and she loved it too - she lay in the shade of the windbreak all day & loved the walk round the field (which was being cut for straw as we arrived!) Dawn is really friendly and the new shower block sounds like it will be brilliant - although the temporary cabins were SO clean it was amazing. Looking forward to returning for my birthday in 2008.

A lovely site in a fantastic location; on top of a hill with views over Herefordshire and Shropshire. The site is spread over two fields with the boundary of a third making an ideal dog walk/ after dinner walk. The pitches are well spaced, most having hook-up. We stayed in the lower field (the one nearer the road) which was immaculately kept. There was even a bench to relax and take in the view. The toilet block, although temporary was very clean; I understand that the new permanent block will be on line next season. Until then, one ladies and one gent's toilet and shower means a queue in the morning. Showers cost 50p and are charged on an 'honesty' basis We chose the site in order to visit the food festival in nearby Shobdon; which if you're in the area towards the end of June is very much recommended. Croft Castle is within walking distance and Berrington hall, Mortimers Cross mill as well as the towns of Ludlow and Leominster within easy reach. One slight disappointment is that our we were charged an extra pound a night as our Pathfinder was apparently equivalent to a Caravan with an Awning despite me making clear what our unit was when we booked
