Just returned from 2 nights at Home Farm. Good views, convenient location for Leominster. Ludlow is a lovely town within easy driving distance. Hereford around 18 miles. 2 National Trust properties within easy reach. Have been coming to this site for many years. The toilet block is lovely, always clean, whatever time of day you use it. Library (in the Tenter's room) where you can exchange your books. Super site, friendly staff.

This was our first visit to the site as newby caravanners as we had always camped and wanted somewhere local for our first trip. This site was recommended by a friend and we could see why. It was perfect for ourselves and our adventurous 5 year old. Wonderful views, lots of places to explore and peace and quiet.
The facilities were spotless and the owner, Dawn was incredibly helpful. You could choose your own pitch and these were generous sizes, with all pitches benefiting from the views over the Black Mountains. Within easy reach is Ludlow and Leominster and its also a great base for walking.
Would recommend the local pub, The Bell at Yarpole which is a 10 min walk through corn fields and chocolate box village.
Will definitely be returning.

3rd year at this campsite and my 3rd excellent review.
The site is lovely and flat, plenty of hook ups and a view to die for!
The toilets and shower blocks are 1st class and the 'utility room' is stocked for you to use.
Dawn is fantastic and we'll be back again next April!
Our kids ran around all weekend with others, so I guess we were a bit lucky, as there is no swing park for the kids, just lots of space and fresh air!

This site is lovely don't get me wrong it is very well presented and the views are beautiful. The toilets & showers were very modern and always clean. Excellent were the wash up facilities with tea, coffee and fridge freezer facilities available for use.
But just not the site for us, there is nothing for children, I did know that there was no play park but I was hoping for a few other children on the site as it was half term, there is plenty of room and maybe a swing or slide away from the pitches would be a nice touch.
Kids do not need electronic gadgets or tv's for entertainment and I like to see kids outside playing games and running around but felt like this site did not allow for that, and that if there were a few noisy kids around that they would be frowned upon for disturbing the peace.
In my opinion not for children but more to sit and enjoy the peace quiet and the views.

Home Farm is an outstanding site, level grassed (neatly cut) with excellent views. The toilet/shower block was 5 star, with small bottles of soap & shampoo available if you forgot yours. The owners made us most welcome & really easy going.
There are some lovely walks around two fields where the owners mowed a path around the fields and through the crops. The village of Yarpole is a ten minute walk along a public footpath where you will find an excellent pub called The Old Bell, food out of this world with great staff.
This site is a great base, Hereford 30mins drive away, Leominster 5mins away.
Home Farm is credit to the owners & highly recommend it to everyone.

The wife and I spent six nights at Home Farm and I can confirm all the previous great reviews on the site, its facilities and the lovely Dawn.
The excellent facilities equal any Caravan Club site and better the majority.
The views from the site are wonderful out towards Haye on Wye and further to the Black mountains.
Several National Trust properties are within easy reach, as is Ludlow which is delightful to visit, and as Sir John Betjeman said; is still probably the prettiest town in the country.
The B road is adjacent but we did not find it obtrusive and the big plus is the bus to Ludlow, Hereford or Leominster stops at the corner.

Have just spent a superb weekend at this site, the toilets & showers were very modern, clean and had little touches such as shower gel which was great if you had forgotten yours!
The wash up facilities were second to none & had tea/coffee making facilities, games that you could borrow, radio, fridge freezer available.
There were also lots of useful information such as emergency numbers, sample menu's for local pubs & lots of leaflets showing local attractions or points of interest that you may wish to visit.
The owners had added lots of personal touches, they were also quick to speak to some irresponsible dog owners who had left there dog locked in awning & gone out (it barked for several hours).
The farm is a working farm & we purchased eggs from the reception area they were lovely!
The views are stunning & we would definitely return to this site.

We picked this campsite based on the reviews on this site and also the price (only £11 for 2 people in a small tent, no hookups). And I have to say it is amongst the best we have ever stayed at! It is an absolute gem.
Included in the price are the showers which were spotlessly clean, powerful, spacious and hot. Each shower had its own roomy cubicle. The shower and toilet blocks were well lit and very clean. Although the site was busy there was never a queue for the toilets or showers.
The site itself was well laid out, with each pitch clearly marked. When we went we had 2 empty pitches either side, but even if it was full I think there would have been plenty of space. The pitch we were on fronted some beautiful rolling hills.
There was a bit of traffic noise early in the morning, but nothing to disturb anyone.
I would highly recommend this site.

After 12 years in France this is the first site that I have been on in this country, that I would deem as excellent. Facilities modern, good quality, heated and clean.
The staff are helpful and welcoming. As a tenter in the past I was astounded at the luxury of the utility room. Electric kettle and tea bags, a fridge and freezer free to use. A great selection of detailed local maps.
As a vanner the site had ample pitches on which to place the vehicle totally level. 5 stars.
The surrounding country has charm and a tranquillity associated with 30 years ago or more.
Thanks to the aforementioned maps we walked to Yarpole by the footpath through the fields one evening and also by and old by-way and minor roads to Orleton the next.
I recommend this latter walk even though there is 80 yards or so of a B road to use without a footpath. By vehicle to Ludlow or Leominster, both proper market towns, or go to the Judges lodgings at Prestiegn. All picturesque without being too cutesy.

Stayed at Home Farm recently for our first camping week, what a lovely location.
We pitched our tent on a very, windy afternoon and straight away other site campers came to offer assistance. The pitch was very good and the site offered fantastic facilities, very clean toilet and shower block, the utility room also had a fridge freezer which was very useful being a non-hookup camping week.
The area was good for bike riding, we had days out to Leominster and Ludlow and a ride around some nearby villages, would recommend stopping and visiting The village Church at EYE. (stopped at Village sign at Eye approached from Luston when a dog from nearby house greeted us wanting us to play run and fetch stones from the gravel road!)One thing we noticed was the local pubs tend to not open all day, some not even at lunch times so when out bike riding had to hope there would be somewhere open for refreshment, Croft Castle(national trust) near Yarpole thankfully assisted on a very hot Saturday afternoon. The village shop in the Church at Yarpole very handy.
A lot of campers were returners to this site and we certainly will consider again.
Dawn and her team were on hand and very helpful.
