Just returned from a fabulous bank holiday weekend here. What an excellent site it is. Very good size pitches.
We were pitched overlooking the lake for hubby to fish (pitch 24). Showers and toilets were spotlessly clean.
Absolutely lovely friendly people running the site. We will definitely be returning.

I visited this site over the bank holiday and I must say while busy I never queued for a shower or toilet and both were spotlessly clean. The staff could not do enough for you.
The grass on the pitches was nicely mown and, although not a fisherman, the fishing lakes were very well maintained. All in all a fantastic site which I will not only be returning to but will be recommending to others.
We also ate at the coffee shop on site, the food was freshly prepared and well presented and generous portions at a very reasonable price.

We've been coming here for the last four years. It's a picturesque site with two lakes for fishing.
My husband enjoys fishing here and has caught some nice sized fish. We enjoy the peace and quiet of the location. The local shops are about three miles away and Lincoln is about twenty minutes away.
The toilets and showers are clean but my only issue is having to hold the shower button to maintain the flow of water. It lasts for about 30 seconds.
All in all Lakeside is well worth a visit.

I would like to say a massive thank you to deb and George once again for an amazing week.
We store our caravan on this site and love just pulling it onto our pitch. This site really is beautiful and peaceful I can honestly say we have never not had a great time.
Everything is kept so clean and tidy. Thank you Sarah Danny and blue eyed Tikaani see you in a couple of months.

I think we may have been unlucky but we were really disappointed by this site. We had a warm welcome but noticed a group of people behind our caravan and expressed some concerns re noise (bad recent experience).
We were reassured there would be no issues so pitched up. However that night we endured conversations behind our Caravan till past 12am. We did mention it the next day (after our neighbours also mentioned it so we felt we were not being unreasonable) but nothing changed.
On the last day the group packed up but then disappeared - they eventually turned up at 11. 30 pm and after some loud conversations slept in a vehicle. So my gripe? Don't say it's a peaceful site if your not prepared to enforce it. Don't say, 'strictly no commercial vehicles' when you let 2 on site, and don't say 'strictly no sleeping in vehicles' if you allow this
We came home tired and fed up!

Arrived on the site. The reception was all shut up and we didn't know which pitch to go on.
We sat about for a good hour before a couple came over who said they were looking after the site. Not very good having to wait all that time.
We liked the site itself and how it was laid out with very spacious pitches. Very good fishing. We had some queries about the cycling track and where to get on to Lincoln. We came to the reception again and still all shut up the following day.
There was no one else to ask. Felt this let the site down somewhat. Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the toilets, round the sinks was dirty and the toilet seat underneath didn't look like it had been cleaned in ages.
Old dirty mop in the bucket which absolutely stunk. Will not be returning to this site.

What a brilliant site with fantastic wardens! Mandy and Paul were wonderful, gave me a beautiful spot and even loaned me a sat-nav so I could find the nearest Halfords to buy my own (they even programmed Halfords post-code into it for me!)
I was away for the first time with my mum and was a little apprehensive about setting up etc without hubby, but not a problem.
The site is spacious, tranquil and beautiful. I could have stayed there for a month. Facilities were clean and free.
I can't praise the site or Mandy and Paul enough. Thanks for making our holiday the pleasant relaxing break it's supposed to be!

Lovely tranquil site! We were perfectly placed next to Kingfisher lake with the woods behind us.
Lovely woodland walk. Whole park thoughtfully and proudly created by George. Warm, basic but clean toilets and shower block. Café on site, although we didn't use it.
Enjoyed the fishing but make sure you bring your own tackle and bait, as non available on the site.
Big field dedicated for dog exercise. We will be returning.

Just come back from a week at this site, Adults only Very Very quite, Owners polite and helpful, showers clean, Café on site but not used.
Fished Kingfisher Lake (hold on to your rod) got it back, had some good carp 15 - 20 lb and a mixed bag of smaller fish.
Would return to this site Had pitch 26, sun all day this time of year. That's where the home picture on there Web site is taken from. Bit of a trek to get to Elsan point and toilets.
Water tap close by.

Just returned from a weekend break at this gem of a site.
Booked this site last minute as a get together with friends and for the men to do a spot of fishing.
We had pitches right next to the lake so you could look out of your window at the wonderful view of the lake.
The pitches are spacious and the whole site is well maintained.
The toilet/shower block was well kept and clean.
There is a lovely cafe on site although we did not use this.
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
There are several pubs in the area all within a ten minute drive of the camp site and a fish and chip shop and chinese in Saxilby which is about 3 miles away.
The site is very tranquil and peaceful because it is adults only and we were lucky that the weather was nice and we spent a lovely weekend sitting by the lake watching the fishing and just generally chilling out.
Would highly recommend this site if you wanted peace and quiet and particularly if you enjoy fishing.
Will definitely be returning.
