Just spent 2 wonderful weekend breaks at Lakeside-Spring BH and the following weekend after paying just £15 to leave our van there on pitch until the next weekend:)
Thank you Debbie and her Dad for such a wonderful place to stay so close to our home.
Beautiful surroundings and lovingly cared for! Fantastic breakfasts cooked by Debbie and brought to your pitch or peg if required. We enjoyed eating them in the cosy cafe and chatting to Debbie and other visitors. Good toilet block and always very clean with free showers and always plenty of loo roll and soap.
Great fishing and very friendly. Good chippy in Saxby, village only 3 miles away which seemed to have plenty of eateries and basic shops as well as a cash point at the Co-op.
All in all a lovely site run by a very caring family who are always willing to help. Thank you and we have already booked Aug BH and hope to be visiting before then too!

We have just come home from the Lakeside Caravan Park having spent 4 nights there over the bank holiday weekend. This is really a nice site and more so if you are into fishing (not us). The site is nicely laid out around two lakes, the pitches were very good, grass was cut and easy to hook up etc. On arrival we were met in the site office by a really nice friendly lady who took details and gave us the electric gate code etc, her son was in the office as well and he seemed to be a nice friendly young man. I don't want to sound negative and I hope the following will be taken as constructive comments:
1. The shower block was not very clean, only two men's toilets an two men showers for the whole site. The floor was dirty and a mop and bucket left in the loo full of dirty smelly water.
2. I found the signage around the site to be aggressive, treating people like there are children, there is a sign when you enter the site which tells you the speed limit and says 'you have been warned' there is a lot of signs telling you how to behave. Why !
3. We wanted a take away and asked in the office if they could tell us where we could get a curry, there was no information available at all, this would be useful.
Thanks
David

We have just returned from a night at Lakeside. We wanted somewhere local to enjoy finding out about our new van. What a place we chose. A smiling welcome from Debbie set the tone. A gorgeous pitch. Peace and quiet and gorgeous well maintained surroundings. Miss this site at your peril.
The beautiful weather topped it all but the breakfast this morning which is available from the little log cabin was great too.
The owners cannot do enough for you. Debbie we can't wait to come back.
Andy and Joe xx

Myself, my partner Paul and our little dog Jag have just returned from a lovely three night break at Lakeside. What a totally relaxing campsite. Paul chose to fish a couple of the days (excellent fishing lakes) and I was happy enough enjoying the scenery and walking the dog through the Woodland Walk (and he definitely enjoyed the surroundings!). The toilets and showers were clean and Debbie and her parents were very welcoming and always on hand for advice. We walked into Saxilby one of the days, which took an hour, but a pleasant walk and we had a taxi back. I would say that is the only drawback of the site that it is a bit too far away from a pub / restaurant but still only 2. 5 miles away. We enjoyed breakfast sat outside at the cafe - excellent sausages! Great Adults Only site. Good that there were recycling facilities on site too. Other people on site were extremely friendly. We will definitely return and hope to drop on the great weather again too!

What a beautiful site. Lovely and peaceful, child free & very clean. Debbie in reception was friendly and helpful. The site has two lakes and all the pitches had a lake view of some sort. The lakes and the site are kept lovely, it is very well cared for. The toilets were clean, my only complaint was the water wasn't very warm in the showers. We will definitely return.

We have returned from a super weekend at this site, our first visit, but it won't be our last. Blissfully peaceful and relaxing even though it was a Bank Holiday. Friendly, welcoming, clean and tidy. What more could you ask for. Excellent location for cycling on traffic free routes and quiet country roads. The breakfast was lovely too!

Just returned from this site after a 4 night Easter break. We picked this site as it was an adult only site and had fishing. We would recommend this site it was clean well maintained and staff friendly. They have an on site café if you want to use doing breakfasts and early evening food, which if you don't want to eat in they will deliver to your van. Pitches are well spaced out and the people we spoke to on this weekend would always say hello and seemed friendly. Toilets etc were kept clean and showers were free. Will be going back at some point.

We have been going to this Gem of a site for 4 years. Local to us so we biased. Adult only. A godsend for us. Ideal for peace quiet. Facilities good and since the reception lodge being built even better. The owner does a great breakfast if you don't fancy cooking and also other meals. The owners are fab and make you really welcome but not intrusive. If you want a place a way from it all this is for you. Esy drive to asda in Lincoln for your supplies. It has 2 fishing lakes that seem to challenge those who fish and also has a lovely walk through woods. I may add this is a very dog friendly site. If you require a place of tranquilly and for just relaxing this is it. I dint want to do a review because we love this site.
