Received a lovely welcome. Lots of space on pitches, fishing available if required - seems popular during the day, but anglers don’t bother anyone. Lovely and quiet, just birdsong.

No WiFi but really good TV signal. Handy for Derby and Nottingham, both have Park and Ride which makes it easier.

Just wish we could stay longer.

Just arrived back from our 3 night Easter visit to Pikes Oak. We have been visiting the site for 6 years and our Daughter and Son in Law, who we went with, have been using the site longer than that. A family owned site situated in the rural Nottinghamshire Wolds, run by Steve and Carl who do everything possible to make your stay a pleasant experience.

Situated only about a mile from the A46 and access to Melton Mowbray, Nottingham, Leicester etc for a spot of retail therapy.

The pitches are spacious and well kept and all the grass is cut at regular intervals. Two super clean, heated shower rooms complete with toilet and hand basin and 16amp hook-up to every pitch in a lovely peaceful setting plus, for those who fancy a bit of fishing, a nice lake with some sizable carp and tench.

I cant recommend the site too highly, we will certainly be back again later in the year.

We love a long weekend at Pike Oaks. Very friendly and helpful owners, Stephen and Carl. Toffee is their lovely dog.

Very picturesque with lovely big pitches and masses of space around pitches, walks around lake and in meadow, great toilet and shower facilities.

Good fishing. Not far to taps and rubbish/chemical disposal. Good recycling. Hard standing if it’s particularly wet. Interesting and beautiful area with plenty of good local pubs and eateries.

Melton is a nice market town, Vale of Belvoir with its castle is beautiful and there are a couple of good garden centres too. Nottingham very close if you need more.

Local shops only 2 miles away n Keyworth and a fabulous chippy. Just cannot praise this site and the area enough.

All for £16. 50 a night including hookup and reduced cost fishing.

Bank holiday weekend we hired the whole place out for a family weekend. Fantastic site, very peaceful indeed, lovely small fishing lake with some big fish in there.

Two shower/toilet blocks (tokens needed for shower) fresh water available, elson point, recycling bins, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. There’s also a rally field next to the camping field.

Highly recommend for a peaceful weekend away from it all.

I think this is normally an adult only site, we booked the whole field for a family weekend so I would check first if travelling with children.

Well for a farm location it’s well presented two showers and toilets, owners were very helpful on the area around, found some very good pubs to eat and drink at, and the fishing is excellent!

There are double figure Carp ! but this time of year silver fish are in abundance.

Would recommend this ideal location for visiting Melton Mowbray, Vale of Belvoir with its Castle and much more

A strange site; nothing untoward but the rows of derelict greenhouses all collapsing in the area behind the site, give it a flavour of decay. There are two toilets but with showers included.

Because there were just us and only two other people on site, we were not inconvenienced at all (pun intended!)

It was somewhere to plug in and park up, but little more.

Didn't like it, was met by some man who didn't introduce himself, just told us to go on the field.

Didn't show where anything was and seemed indifferent. The pond was not stocked so fishing was rubbish, the planes at night were really loud. All told the site seemed run down and not cared for.

I love fishing but landed up sitting in the caravan for our stay. Really disappointed.

A very special place lovely and relaxing wether fishing or walking in the meadows or just sitting by the van.

Good showers (though need to remove spiders and cobwebs more regularly ) hookups a bit strange.

There are no modern facilities just a straight forward caravan site. Shops 5min drive. Will be returning soon.

Just returned from another excellent weekend at this lovely CL site. Everything you could ask for from a CL, plenty of space between pitches, lovely clean toilets/showers and EHU.

We have been a number of times before but this was the first time this year and it was great to see ongoing improvements with the facilities and the site in general.

Spent a couple of afternoons fishing in the well stocked lake and caught Roach, Rudd, Tench and Carp. Nottingham, Leicester and Melton Mowbray are within easy travelling distance should you require some retail therapy.

The display of hanging baskets and tubs around the amenities block are a sight to be seen.

All in all an excellent site which we intend to visit time and time again!

First time on this lovely gem of a site

Large level pitches although due to days of heavy rain recently they where very boggy and soft underfoot

Nice clean showers and toilets 50p gives you ample time to have a good shower although you do need to obtain a token from the office first hoping somebody is there or that it's open.

Very quiet. Only noise is from the planes but it's not intrusive

Nice lake if you're a fisherman with reduced fees if your stopping there

Only niggle is there is nowhere for pot washing other than your caravan

Otherwise a lovely quiet well kept adult only site
