Really Lovely campsite, had warm welcome from the owners as soon as we pulled up, they showed us where all the facilities were and asked where we would like to pitch, 2 nice big flat fields, 1 has electric hook ups. We picked this site as we wanted access onto trails and walks in BYC direct from the site, without having to take the camper.
Toilets nice and clean and spacious, hairdryer, lovely warm showers (£1 for 10 mins)
No park for kids but not needed as they had plenty of room to play, a wooded area at the back which was safe and enclosed, a stream, piglets to feed, kids loved it.
About a 10 minute bike ride or 30 minute walk into Betws y Coed, along a main road with a path but then cutting through onto a footpath across the river which was very pretty. Had no problem getting a bus back to the campsite, bus stop virtually right outside, easily go to Llanrwst on bus, plenty of shops, places to eat in both towns, Tree top adventure place 2 mins walk.
No roaming dogs or dog poo, as previously mentioned in the reviews and perfect location for getting into Betws y Coed whether walking or cycling or Llanrwst.
We also went up to Snowdon and visited Conway Castle and Llandudno from here.
We really liked this site, nice and quiet, lovely views of the hills, friendly owners and child and dog friendly.
Would definitely return, in fact one week was not enough time to visit all the lovely places nearby.
Reasonable price too for main weeks.

What a lovely little site, week we chose wasn't very busy so virtually had site to ourselves, would go here again, in between Betsy coed and Llandudno
Owners very pleasant, very basic site but a lovely setting. Toilet blocks were passable although I believe ladies was better and warmer than gents.
Basically just two camping fields with electrics and a little stream at the bottom of the field, maybe a little noisy with the main road at the base of the site, but after a while you don't notice it.

Stayed here for a week in Oct.
I'll start with the positives. This was my kind of site; rural, laid back, no long list of rules and regulations. 2 large fields, a stream running through the middle, woods and mountain views.
Shower block (ladies) has 2 hot showers (20p per 2 mins- take 20's or £1 coins) and 2 toilets and 2 basins, 1 large sink (washing up or laundry) and a washing machine.
There' a communal washing up room with 3 fridges/freezers, tumble dryer and maps, info, bus times etc. 2 fresh water taps and a waste emptying drain thing! Gorgeous views, located between Llanwrst and Betws Y Coed.
Food shops in both, outdoor shops in abundance in BYC. Took about 30mins to walk to BYC using the footpath over the river. We had heavy rain and the site drained well. Chickens and ducks running all over. Very peaceful and relaxing.
There were some negatives sadly - In Oct it felt 'closed', there were 2 units (inc us) when we arrived, we were alone for some time, then more arrived at the weekends. There was no cleaning of the toilet block (at all), the shower curtains were thick with mould, all the hook ups (except the one we used) were removed, so at one point 3 of us were daisy chained and the elec tripped!
All fire extinguishers had been removed, the fridges had been left empty and closed and they smelled very bad. The washing machine door was broken and you needed to pry it open, the tumble dryer was full of dog hair.
There were 5 resident dogs, there were also signs saying pick up after your dog (of course we do anyway) the owners however didn't ! So there was visible dog poo on the site and it belonged to the owners dogs!
We even paid a pound a night for our dog. We paid the same fee as those staying in peak season and so in my opinion should get the same level of service and amenity. The cafe was closed but then we knew it would be, so was the office/reception on most days - in fact we rarely saw the owners at all. The noise from the road was ok in a caravan
We did have a lovely week and it was in a great area handy for Snowdonia and the coast.

The site is a nice and friendly place with two flat fields. The main field offers hook up units evenly spaced round the outside, and is shared by tents and vans alike. There is no “unit segregation” here, which I like.
With only 2 wash basins, showers and toilets (at least for the blokes) queues could easily form at peak morning times; although having said that when we stayed midsummer the site was fairly full and I never experienced any problems. One thing to commend the site on is the level of cleanliness; the toilet block was always spotless at all times of the day. Showers are 20p for 2 minutes.
There is a utility block with very good pot washing sinks, a couple of fridge freezers and a tumble dryer (possibly a washing machine but my memory fails me on that). Anyway it’s a good place to chill beer (or whatever) and refreeze ice packs for cool boxes.
The site has a small “café” during the peak period open morning to dusk, which I cannot really comment on as I did not use it, but looking at the menu the prices were reasonable. They do all kinds of snacks and treats. You can order a breakfast for the following day, and it looked like they delivered orders to your tent / van (something which looked popular with a few campers).
There is no dedicated kid’s playground, but this didn’t appear to be a problem with the kids I saw playing around the site. The site is roamed by free range chickens which offer some amusement.
As mentioned previously the site does suffer a bit of noise from the main road, but you soon tend to filter this out. Yes, the most noisy period is during the morning, so those who like a lie in may suffer, but then again, if the road noise don’t get you,, the kid noise will – that’s camping, plain and simple.
Location wise the site is not too far from the great village of Betws-y-Coed (never seen so many “outdoor” and “camping” shops in one place – and some bargains to be had too). There is some stunning forest here offering walking and mountain bike trails. It’s a bit of an uninteresting walk to the village as it is mostly main road, but a doddle on a bike and the bus stop is just outside the site (I can’t imagine the bus fare being too expensive) - there is ample parking if you go by car. Bus times are clearly posted in the utility building.
This is a great location for North Wales with Anglesey and the North coast not too far away. The Snowdonia mountain range is clearly visible in the distance on a good day. All in all an excellent base for exploring North Wales with most of the popular destinations not great distances away.
I would not have any problem in staying here again.

Having just visited Hafod Farm for the first time I was very happy with the stay.
My first impressions were that it was very clean and well managed. There is a reception barn at the entrance to the site which also comprises a cafe and eating area. Although we didn't eat in.The food looked very nice and there was a good choice at reasonable prices.
Facilities were good, there is a washing up area with fridge and freezers available for use.
The toilets and shower area were also very new and clean, and although there was only one male shower (two female), I never saw any queues nor did it cause any problems. We had no problems with noise on the site. The nearby main road can be heard but was no cause for concern.
Would we stay again. Most definitely. There are many things to do nearby and the walk into Betwys Coed is only 15 mins.

We have just returned from a three night stay.
The fields are fairly level, and drain well. We know that because on the night of 15/7/10 - the severe weather warning which was issued for the North of Ireland, and North West England, arrived in North Wales also. Gale winds, followed by torrential rain for three hours.
The facilities are good - fridge, freezer, tumble drier. Good toilets and showers. Shaver points etc.
Negatives? Dogs seem to be allowed to be 'exercised' on the lower field (the one without the EHUs).
No noise control at all. The site is just a 'hedge' distance from that road which is a long straight stretch, upon which the motor bikes and cars open their throttles.
I hate giving negative reviews, but have to with this one - purely for the noise from the main road. Apart from that (and the dog poo) - the site is fine.
Location first class (obviously).
If you are looking for a site where you can sit outside your tent, with a group of friends, until 1am - chat and have a good time - I would think that this one would suit you.
Great site, good location and facilities - shame about the road noise.

On the whole a pleasant well kept site in a convenient location. The toilets and showers were kept clean.
It is however, the toilets and showers that would give rise to any complaint in that for the size of the site there weren't enough. For the men one shower, one toilet, two urinals, two washbasins.
For the women, two toilets, two showers and two wash basins. ( the showers were extra at 20p per two minutes)
As the site busy there was often waiting for toilets and showers. I've been in quite a few campsites and got more for less.

Lovely site, ground good despite heavy rain previous night. Toilet blocks very clean, showers were good but only one in male toilet, and two in ladies which may lead to a wait during busy times.
A little disappointed that the cafe not open, opens in July and August only. Chickens, pigs and sheep to amuse children, large open field ideal for youngsters with lots of energy, no playground equipment, unfortunately however only a minor flaw!
Hairdryer, good washing up facilities and fridge freezer all very useful.
In all a lovely site, accessible to travel out for the day and pleasant owners, would definitely return and would recommend to others.

Plus points: Level pitches. Pretty location. Reasonably priced - £15 p/n for 2 adults, caravan and EHU. Not too crowded, lots of space between pitches.
Negatives: Ground was a bit soggy but didn't pose a problem to get on and off the pitch as the site is nice and flat. Showers were bit fiddly to use with pay meter but OK.
Overall we enjoyed staying here and would recommend.

Nice little site,, friendly staff and good facilities, although the showers we a bit cold. The site was spacious and well cared for. My friends and I stayed here for 3 days on a mini holiday and had a lovely time visiting local attractions and relaxing. Only downside was that we did literally have to drive everywhere, the isn't much in walking distance of the site. The site was a bit boggy also but that is more the weathers fault than the owners.
All in all it is a nice site and I would recommend it.
