Wonderful little campsite in the heart of Shropshire with excellent facilities. Great little country pub 2 mins walk that sells great beers and also fab food.
Owners cant do enough to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Kids enjoyed feeding the hens and ducks each day. Fantastic views all around and also some great walks for the more energetic. Will definitely be returning soon.

After reading great reviews about Clun valley campsite we decided that was where we wanted to have our first camping experience with all of our newly purchased equipment and we are so glad we did.
The setting is lovely, quiet and 2 mins walk from a very nice pub which serves food. The walks surrounding the campsite are wonderful although we did not get to walk too far as we had terrible weather. But we definitely plan to visit again.
The owners were wonderful, friendly, helpful. Just a really nice family. They allowed our 3 children to help feed the ducks and chickens which they loved. The facilities were good, clean and well looked after. We are hoping to visit again very soon!

Just spent the May Bank Holiday weekend at this lovely site, along with 4 other families. This is a gorgeous part of the country with excellent views from the campsite. It is well placed for exploring Offa's Dyke and nearby Clun has a great festival at this time of year.
The site itself is small and quiet with very friendly and helpful owners, who make you feel very much at home. The chickens and ducks were loved by the kids as well as their tasty eggs for breakfast.
The facilities are clean, if a little basic, but for a small site, they are what you might expect. At the moment there is one washing-up sink for which hot water needs to be obtained from the washrooms or the owner's house. The sink is also uncovered, and on a very wet Saturday night made washing up a bit challenging! The owners are already aware of this and are really keen to improve the facilities based on what users have said. Showers are clean, electric and free but at peak times would be in oversubscribed.
We would really recommend this site and the area and is one we will be going back to in the future. Excellent value for money too! Thank you!

We fancied a long weekend break not too far from home with my dog, Jess and decided on this wonderful site. Great location with stunning views and very close to part of the Offa's Dyke path and the Shropshire Way. We found the site easy to find without the use of sat nav!
Dawn and her family are all very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Dawn came to greet us when we had pitched our tent and advised us of the facilities both on the site and nearby. The pub which was 2 minutes away was really good too although we did not eat there. If you like walking, there is plenty to go at! Clun Village is lovely which is only about 3 mile away.
The toilets and shower room very clean. The shower was excellent too and free. The only thing I can think of as a slight negative is that the washing up facilities are not under cover. That to me is a very minor thing though.
All in all this is a great site which is complimented by Dawn and her family. Oh mustn't forget the fresh eggs from the charming chickens and the ducks. Delicious! And to top it all my partner and I were rewarded with our first sighting of a red kite. Very exciting.
Very clean, friendly and quiet / peaceful site. We will definitely be returning soon for another relaxing break.

We visited this site over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend with our dog. We received a great welcome from the owners, and they even found our dog for us when he 'escaped', Dawn's children were making a huge fuss of him.
The toilet and showers were always kept clean with plenty of Loo paper. Lovely scenery, and a great local pub only minutes away when going out of the back gate.
One tip to take on board though, don't follow your sat nav instructions, stick to the instructions given by Dawn, it was a bit hairy going down the single track lanes with no room for oncoming traffic to pass towing a folding camper. One plus point though, we saw a Golden Eagle eating carrion on the road, a once in a lifetime experience.
The price was excellent, the site quiet and peaceful, which is what we were looking for, and we will be making a return visit.

This Campsite is ideal for rest and relaxation.
It is in a stunning setting in the valley and is very peaceful made even better by no mobile phone signal yes!
We were met on arrival by the most helpful and friendly campsite owner we have ever encountered (Dawn) nothing is too much trouble for her and her husband. We were made to feel most welcome.
As mentioned in previous reviews the site has ducks and hens that you can have lovely fresh eggs from for breakfast - bliss.
The pitches were nice and big meaning that you didn't feel crammed in, all pitched round the edge of the field leaving a large area for kids to play.
The toilet and shower facilities were kept immaculate at all times- even after heavy rain!
Both sets of showers had constant hot water all included in the more than reasonable nightly fee.
(Only £12.50 for 2 Adults 1 child a dog and EHU)
There is a lovely pub five minutes walk away that does lovely homemade food to eat in or takeaway.
I could go on forever about this sites good points but don't want to rave too much as I want to keep it as my own little hidden gem.
This was our first visit but definitely wont be our last.

I was the only camper here when I arrived and glad I had my small caravan;met by friendly people and the best shower I had ever come across large and hot! The toilets were big too and I was allowed to camp on the lawn as the field had sheep in it.The camp site is near to the local pub a 4 minute walk away and 3 miles from clun the nearest cash point and supermarket.I will be back as £7 for two is good value. This is a site which is basic but good value in a lovely location all you need is the weather it was raining hard but we still liked our stay.Well done to the owners who have just taken it over! They liked my micro caravan!

Myself and other members of the Estima Motoring Community booked into the site for a Halloween party and Community meet.
Dawn, her husband and their family couldn't have been nicer people to meet. They welcomed us in with a smile and were only too happy to help.
The BBQ was a great nightime focal point. All of us sat around it catching up on things and general chit chat.
The prices extremely reasonable. Site is very clean. Especially the toilets and shower. No litter of any kind laying around the site.
They are planning further improvements for the site for 2010. When we will be more than happy to stay again.
Our group travelled from all over the country to meet up. The site on arrival was a very welcoming site Although a bit of the Main routes, that just added to it's charm. The kids had loads of room to play and run around and want to go back to see the ducks & chickens. Oh, just to let you know that fresh duck & chicken eggs are available at the site too. Great for a smashing breakfast.
Really looking forward to going back in 2010 for another Community Meet.

The location of the campsite is perfect if you want to get away from it all.Plenty of room for the grandchildren to play safely. The facilities were basic but quiet adequate and kept clean.
We thought the campsite was excellent value for money. We hired the bbq off the owner on the Saturday night, after the bbq we sat around a camp fire and had a great time.
There is a children's playground a minute walk from the campsite and a pub two minutes away.
Dawn ( the owner) was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
We fully recommend this campsite and cannot wait to go back.

Stayed at this lovely site over the August Bank holiday. This is what I call, classic camping; beautiful countryside, peaceful surroundings, simple site, good facilities, and welcoming owners.
Starting with the facilities, they are kept very clean, and well maintained. There is only one shower, at present, but it is a good, hot, easy to operate. The shower room is spacious, with a sink, mirror and coat hooks and an all important chair. But as there is only one shower, you may need to time your visits carefully, that said I didn't have to wait. The toilets (ladies and mens) are also clean, and well maintained. There is a washing up sink too; hot water is available in the respective toilets from a boiler/water heaters.
The camp field, has a slope from the main gate, and facilities. So people mainly camp on the sides, by the hedges or across the bottom of the field on the flat area. As other people have commented, there is no designated areas, or restrictions on how close tents can be etc. Electric hook up is available, but I didn't use it so, can't comment.
It is a lovely grass field, no stones or weeds (nettles and thistles etc) and it is not used by livestock either!
You can rent a fire bucket, and they have bricks for disposable bbq's.
The site is dog-friendly, as long as they are well trained, the owners are fine with people taking their dogs.
At the top of the site the owners keep some ducks and chickens, and if the owners are about, you can go in and feed, interact with the birds. If you have kids, be warned they can come back more feathery than the birds! ;-) The eggs are for sale too.
The pub is a only a couple of minutes walk and is welcoming to guests. We didn't eat there, but the beer is first rate, thumbs up for a good cellar!
Finally the owners, they are really lovely people, always will to stop and pass the time of day.
The only comment would be the signs directing you to the campsite. You need eagle eyes to spot them!
All in all, a great site. My friends and I agree, we will stay here again
