Spent 2 nights on this little gem of a site. In this very wet summer we had fabulous hot, sunny weather. The owners of the site were really friendly and very helpful. Our dogs were welcome. The setting and scenery are stunning in good walking country - Offa's Dyke and the Shropshire Way pass close to the site. A great local pub a 2 minute walk away - what more could you want for a short break?

Camped over the Bank Holiday weekend. Weather not great but if you enjoy camping this is the site for you.
Negatives, only one shower, half the site slopes, proximity of buildings. Do any of these matter, not a jot-bookings restricted to field edge only, hence not enough people for 1 shower to matter, slope gives excellent drainage and not severe enough to give pitching issues, buildings not served by street lights so stars look fantastic and pub is close.
On top of this friendly people, total cleanliness, quiet, space, views and a myriad of footpaths in one of Englands most beautiful corners. We will most certainly be returning.

A group of 8 visited this site for a quiet weekend in the depths of the Shropshire countryside and a cracking little site it is! The site is well maintained and the showers/toilet blocks were spotless ALL weekend! The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful,as were the locals we bumped in to on our travels. Excellent VFM, and on the chilly summer evenings we were even able to have our own BBQ and bucket fire whilst we whiled away the hours.
Clun, Church Stretton, Knighton and the Long Mynd were all visited during the weekend, and we had a really enjoyable weekend. Shropshire is ONE OF THE best counties in the country! Buzzrds and Red kites were in abundance :-)
We will definitely return so look forward to seeing this site in future journeys!

Lovely site, with very friendly helpful owners. The field is large, on a slight slope but well drained and we were able to pitch anywhere. The facilities are basic - but very clean and well kept, and as the owners restrict numbers there was never a long queue for anything. The kids are allowed to use the school play facilities - which were just up the road - and again well kept.
We all really enjoyed our stay here, and the kids are already asking when we can go back.
Acton Scott Victorian Working Farm worth a trip.

This is a friendly campsite with amazingly helpful owners. We visited this campsite with three other families and we would all definitely go back.
Pros: Lovely rural setting, friendly owner, clean toilets and shower, large area for the kids to play, good pub closeby (takeaway food available), loads of walks with Offa's Dyke path very close, BBQ and charcoal to hire.
Cons: single shower and slightly sloping field

WE had a great weekend at this site the weather was not very nice but the site made up for that. The toilets and shower were very clean every time we went in them dawn the owner and her husband were very helpful. Excellent site would go again. There is a lovely pub just down the road that does great meals and also do take away food at sensible prices

A lovely site. The owners and family make this site. The hens and ducks were a huge attraction to all 5 children in our group. The views are lovely. The school grounds are a real bonus. The toilets and showers very clean. The most friendly camp site owners we have ever met, will definitely go again. The site is very reasonable priced. The site is a good base for touring the local towns or for going on some lovely walks.

This is a lovely, friendly, family run site. Yes facilities are basic but they were ample enough when we were there and clean and free hot showers. There's a flat camping lawn which we stayed on and a camping field which slightly slopes, loads of room for the kids to run about on there. Very friendly owners, lovely area with lots to do near by. We bought home some duck and chicken eggs, they were huge and only cost £1! Talking of money, pitches are really good value for money, I would recommend this site and will prob go again

Arrived here after a very wet journey to a lovely reception from the owner. The owners were very friendly, they keep ducks, ours boys were allowed into the duck pen, she even bought one over to the tent for us all to touch and see. The site is clean and well kept. We camped on the lawn of the house which meant we were away from the main field, which suited us well, we seemed to be the only ones using the toilet attached to the house. The big field was great for the kids to play in and to fly their kites. There isn't a playground but that wasn't a problem as we were able to use the school playground which is a 2 min walk away. The site is basic but the toilets and shower were kept clean, seemed to be ample electric hook ups, no complaints about anything and we had a great time. No doubt we will be going back.

Have just returned from 2 nights in our motorhome on this lovely site. Unspoilt countryside with superb views.
We found site facilities perfectly adequate - very hot shower included in fees -toilets and shower very clean and comfortable, but we were told that they are about to be upgraded.
No marked pitches so you are able to pick the spot that best suits your needs. Owners friendly and helpful, without being too obtrusive.
Friendly country pub a genuine 2 minute walk away serves good food reasonably priced. Easy access to Offa's Dyke long distance footpath but you can pick out shorter circular walks if you're not quite so energetic. An interesting collection of rare breed poultry which would be a source of delight to many children. We will certainly return
