Love this campsite, Dawn and her family are really nice and couldn't help enough. We camped for the first time with a new tent and we hadn't enough pegs, Dawn found us some. It was a very cold weekend and we were told to come and get blankets if it got too cold. Really lovely views. I can't fault this site for location, friendly people and facilities, free showers, hot and cold water, toilet rolls and plenty of smiles what more do you need.

We'll be back!

Thank you

This is a super little camp site. The owner is very welcoming and helpful.

It is a small site, one lovely, slightly sloping field, the slope only enhances the superb views.

The facilities are more than adequate. Free showers so no need to worry about getting your hair rinsed before the shower stops!

I have stayed a couple of times while attending courses at Bobby Britnell's nearby studio. It' has worked really well for me.

We stayed here for a 2 night break in May and had a lovely time. We paid £12. 50 per night for 2 adults and 2 children with electric hook-up. The field is sloping in some parts but flat at the bottom. Our daughter loved to ride down the steeper slop at the top. Very safe for children too.

The owner was lovely and let our daughters pet a Hen and a duck which they loved. We saw red kites too which was fantastic.

All in all a great site and we will definitely return.

For first time campers I did a lot of reading up and using reviews on here to judge the camp sites and came to this one looking the best.

We were both very happy with it, its location was excellent, the local pub was great and the surrounding areas were lovely.

Apart from one day the weather was nice.

The owner was great and very helpful.

We had a electric hook up and for us first timers it was a good option to take.

We were not bothered about the mobile signal or no telly as it really didn't matter in the nice surroundings we had.

The only thing my partner noticed was that the condition of the ladies shower block could have been a little better. As for the gents side that was fine.

Overall I have to say that being camping virgins we were totally impressed with our stay and will be going back there again.

Very peaceful site with amazing views.

The owner, Dawn, lent us an OS map with a fantastic circular walk to Clun marked on it. She was very helpful and made us feel welcome.

No shops, no mobile signal and no TV but this just made the visit even more relaxing.

The site is a big grassy field and we were the only ones there for 3 nights of our stay but I can imagine it would be wonderful for families.

Would love to return to this site one day.

Local pub just yards from the site though only opened evenings.

Myself, partner and two children and dog spent Easter weekend at this site, and enjoyed every minute of it.

My first contact with the site was an availability enquiry via email, which was answered promptly, in a friendly manner, with lots of additional information regarding the site included. The cost is £5 per adult, £2. 50 per child, with under 6's and dogs being free of charge, a £10 deposit is required at bank holidays, for EHUs and stays of 4 nights or more.

The site itself is a fairly small, gently sloping field (grass looked in excellent, well maintained condition), with EHUs to one side. Those without an EHU are free to pitch where they please, and everyone camped round the edge, leaving plenty of space for children to play games in the centre. Although the facilities are basic - 2 male loos, 2 female and one shower each, they were clean and always stocked with toilet roll, paper towels and soap. The undercover dishwashing area was always clean too.

The site has a no noise after 10.30pm rule, which was adhered to, leaving us able to hear the numerous owls in the surrounding woodland. It also meant the children fell asleep easily, leaving mum and dad to enjoy a peaceful drink :)

Although the local pub is only a short walk away we didn't visit on this occasion, preferring to soak up the sites tranquillity.

There is very little to fault with this site, the only thing I can think of is that we were awoken very early Saturday morning by barking dogs - there must be a kennel nearby, but this wasn't a problem Sunday.

I was also very impressed by the fact that, despite the availability calendar advising that the site was full, there was plenty of room and no queue for the loo ever. I presume this is down to the owners focussing on quality rather than quantity, for which they should be commended. I most definitely plan to return!

My wife and I stayed for three nights in early September. Quite a small site with 4 ehu.

Shower and toilet block very clean and lots of hot water. Can't comment on the owners as we didn't meet them until we went to pay on departure.

Very good value site, we paid £12pn with ehu. Good pub in the village open evenings only (except Sunday)serves reasonable food.

Had a wonderful meal at The Crown in Clunton (about 8 miles or so away, but worth the travel) check opening times, as they don't serve food all week.

My boyfriend and I have just got home after 4 nights at this lovely campsite. It's surrounded by hills and has beautiful views. The facilities are lovely and clean.

The owner, was especially helpful as we needed an extension for our electric hook-up. She also lent us a mallet as we'd forgotten ours. We needed to get to an Argos store and Dawn very kindly drew us a map of how to get there.

We popped to the local pub which is literally a 5 minute walk away.

The weather was changeable so we went exploring in the car but we plan to return and go walking next time.

We went alone, but there is plenty of space for children to play.

If you're looking for peace and quiet this is the campsite for you. It's an added bonus that flat rates are charged all year round and you can park the car next to your tent.
