If you want to get away from it all this is the place. Simple but very clean site in a great location. Welcoming and dog friendly. Bang on Offas dyke path if you're up for a bit of dyke walking - which round here is very well preserved.
Site facilities are pretty basic (Toilets and shower) but kept very clean. Nice field for camping - plenty of flat and grassy areas. Only minor downside is limited shower facilities - you may have to wait a few minutes but the view makes up for it. Would certainly go back.

A group of us have been having Bank Holiday breaks at various sites in the Shropshire region for the last three years now and this campsite has been the best by far. So much so that we have rebooked for next year already!
The owners were lovely, making us all feel very welcome. The pitches were a luxury (we were situated on the lawned area) with no bent tent pegs for once, and the views are all picture postcard perfect. The local-kid friendly-pub is a 2 minute stroll away serving decent ale along with reasonably priced good food, a pool table and a dartboard whilst the kids also enjoyed the use of the schools playing field, a safe walk across the road from the site.
The village of Clun is just a 10 minute drive away for supplies etc. And there are plenty of things in the area to see and do. We visited the Acton Scott Working Farm (approximately a half hours drive away) where they filmed the Victorian Farm series and spent an enjoyable afternoon there.
I would also recommend hiring the sites BBQ too as after we ate we were allowed to use it to burn wood supplied by the owners for a late evening campfire which rounded our stay off perfectly.

If there are any negatives to be mentioned then the single shower and the outside washing up area both need addressing but we know that this is on the list of things to do for the owners and that would then make it the perfect site (I almost don't want to submit this review for fear of making it too popular resulting in us not getting a pitch in the future!).
Definitely a site to recommend for families looking for a quiet break away from it all in tranquil surroundings.
